April 2021 signed contract for patio enclosure with Arvada, CO location Permit was not pulled for project. Was told by salesman and manager it was not needed. However, City official told me on 6/11/21 permit was required. GDI Booklet provided by salesman also states requirements vary per community so they obviously didn't check. Patio was never closed off from outside elements. No fascia on the 4 walls even though booklet states enclosure would be professionally installed. Company voided contract by not fulfilling work of contract. No air conditioning, heat or electrical to support was installed. Beam was not wrapped and only 3 posts were wrapped. 2 bad screens. I am responsible for finishing floor and ceiling. Not soffit and/or fascia. Those are required to close off the room from outside elements. What is the purpose of purchasing insulated glass, electricity, heat and air if room isn't closed off? They charged me over 29,000 dollars for a room that has not been enclosed.

      Mrs. *******,

Thank you for reaching out. According to our records, someone has reached out to you and spoken to you 3 times since 6/10 via email regarding your concerns. The room as it is has an existing open rafter roof, you discussed with your sales rep that you would be having your son install a soffit outside the room to cover the bare rafters as shown in your photo. We have offered to quote a price for us to complete this additional work, but you have denied those offers.

In regards to the screens, we will schedule a service for a repair  and will credit you for the AC / Heating unit that cannot be installed due to there being no room for it in the layout. Someone will be following up with you again today (6/14) to see if we can come up with a reasonable resolution.

Thank you for your patience and we hope this provides you with some clarity.

Please be advised that the response provided by the company is totally false. No one ever offered an additional bid to complete the work because enclosing the patio is what I hired them to do. The sales representative stated I would be responsible for finishing the floor and ceiling and I said my son can do that. There was never a discussion about the soffit, fascia or eaves (Please see Webster's definition of floor and ceiling) The fascia, soffits and eaves are built in the construction process of a room.

There was no reason for me to think that the patio wouldn't be completely enclosed. The name of the company is"Patio Enclosures".

The individual who responded to my complaint is clueless to the facts of this transaction because he was not at my house and therefore his response is hearsay. He has no idea what happened.

As for the air/heat unit and applicable electrical installation, the representative is the one who drafted the design for the enclosure based on the measurements he took.  Another employee came out a week or 2 later, remeasured and confirmed plan for construction.  It was not until after the walls were put up that they discovered the unit would not fit.

Why in the world would I purchase air, heat and cost of installing electricity for a room that was not going to be closed off from the outside elements? That doesn't make any sense at all.

A couple of years ago, ******** gave me an estimate of a complete patio enclosure that included floor and ceiling for $20,000.

Please see the attached contract from Patio Enclosures.  There is nothing in it that would lead me to believe the patio would not be fully enclosed. I assumed the higher price was based on the quality of the windows. I would have never agreed to pay over $29,000 for a room exposed to the outside elements.

I have also enclosed the email from the representative stating how they wish to resolve this issue. I do not agree to or accept this offer. I should not have to pay any additional funds to close off the patio.

They have also stated they would get the enclosure permitted if I pay them $3,268.05. it is too late for that. The city has already contacted me and any fines incurred, because they failed to check if a permit was required, should be paid by their company.

I started a sunroom project with Great Day on 10/24/21, and the service has yet to be complete. We have had three different installers on the project who has all been professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. However, none of them have received the proper materials to install. We are missing a window. Screening was damaged during install so it needs replacing, and doors are not outfitted correctly. The newly installed roof of less than one month is now leaking. I have been seeking someone of authority for resolution with no success. I have been in communication with Jack, ******, John L****, Dustin B****** and Daniel G*******, Aundrea N***, Sarah W*****, Matthew P******, and Ray, and no one seem to have answers for why we are still unable to have the sunroom we are now paying for. At this point, I am extremely angry and beyond the willingness to except anymore excuses. I need someone willing to take accountability and ownership for this failure and fix it correctly.

      Mrs. ******,

We sincerely apologize for the delays in the project up until this point. We strive for every customer to have a 5-star experience and it seems we've missed the bar here. Someone from your local branch should have reached out to you this weekend yo provide you with a date for our Regional Manager to visit you to discuss your issues and create an action plan. Please address all items mentioned in your complaint with him during this meeting as we would love to get your project back on the right track and resolve all your concerns. Thank you for your patience.

I am rejecting this response because:

We have yet to get any follow up on the promise to move forward following this complaint. Follow up calls promised with no follow through. Very disappointing.
