      This company must delete the complaints… i can’t honestly believe i’m the only one who has ever complained against this company! On octber 11th i ordered a multiport adapter directly from them with expedited shipping. The next thing i know, they tell me those particular adapters are on backorder. I wrote back to cancel my order. All i got was an email as “confirmation” that they cancelled my order. But i go to my order history page just now, and i see they still didn’t cancel my order!!! And i *still* see the pending charge on my card. The girl who sent the email to “confirm” my order was cancelled didn’t even bother answering my question about why i still don’t see the cancellation! Her name was “jen s.” The order number is #*********. I have screenshots as proof of everything.

      This matter is long resolved; as we are receiving notification for it now, we are responding. When an order is submitted, an "authorization" hold is placed on the payment method to secure the potential payment, but it is not billed until the order ships. As this order was canceled, the authorization would have cleared within 2-3 business days, or the standard length of time it takes for the card-issuing bank to clear it. Authorization holds are a common part of most e-commerce/credit card purchases. Reviewing the support request, StarTech.com was in communication with the customer throughout and explained why they were still seeing the order in their order history.
