      I bought my car on 12/31/2022. Because it is an expensive car with a sport engine, I made sure that I got the best plan to make sure that I was covered for basically anything. The 5 star plan to be exact. This plan roughly cost $5,000 of which I paid in full at the time of the purchase. This week, my car overheated and I called NVP and had it towed it to Porsche to get it fixed. Above the dealer not having the specific part / taking a week to look at my car since they were backed up, once the diagnosis was given and NVP was called, GUESS WHAT, they don't cover that part since NVP deems the part that broken "a maintenance issue" and not a "mechanical issue" Of course I called them, and they sent me the contract that says in general, that this part is not covered. Had a bigger issue amounted in this part not working, they would have covered the other parts, but not this, so they PICK and CHOOSE which parts are going to be covered AND they didn't want to pay the dealer their service fee because they only cover about $90 in labor. So instead THIS IS AN A-LA-CART auto warranty. So, I call them to get my car towed to a facility that will fix my vehicle and they tell me THEY CANNOT tow it because the repair facility where it is can fix it.. NO THEY CAN'T!!!!! Because they don't have the parts necessary as my contract states! NVP finds ways to not cover these things instead of helping the customers. Make sure before you buy a auto warranty on YOUR OWN and don't go with what dealerships say, I'm sure they have a contract with dealers and probably pay kickbacks to them so they get customers. Read every inch of your contract before signing or choosing NVP. From my personal opinion and experience, NVP operates on finding a reason to not cover vehicle before helping the customer, that is their mission statement. I regret buying this coverage.

      According to our records, the administrative office was made aware of the problems you were experiencing with the vehicle when the repair facility contacted us to start a claim on October 14, 2022. At that time, it was reported that the coolant warning light was on, and that the coolant vent line had come apart. The requested repair was to replace the coolant vent line which is a component that is not listed for coverage under the Vehicle Service Agreement.
      At that time, there was no discussion of labor rates or labor time, as the requested repair was for a component that is not listed for coverage.
      Under the Terms and Conditions of your contract, DEFINITIONS it states:
      “COVERED COMPONENT(S)” means those items specifically listed under the section relating to coverage You have selected that are original parts on Your Vehicle at the time of its purchase by You or like replacement parts meeting the manufacturer’s specification.
      8. LABOR: Labor charges shall be based on the current AllData Labor Guide and hourly rates shall be within accepted industry standards.
      24 Hour Emergency Roadside Assistance and Towing Service:
      Services to include the following: Closest qualified place of repair or up to 25 miles whichever is less, with maximum incidents of 3 services per year per customer.
      We are truly sorry that the VSC has not been able to aid with the requested repairs and sincerely regret any frustration or inconvenience that the complainant may have experienced as a result. We are committed to working with our contract holders to apply coverage and we will be happy to work with the contract holder and repair facility to insure we honor our commitments to apply coverage where eligible.
      Please understand that although we will always do whatever we can to authorize the performance of repairs that may become necessary for our contract holders' vehicles, we must apply that coverage in accordance with all the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of the service contracts we administer.
