1 starI should have known better. People always talk about how these things are a scam. When I purchased my vehicle, I caved to the pressure and thought I was giving myself peace of mind by purchasing a warranty for major repairs. This summer my AC went out and the compressor and supporting lines etc needed to be replaced. The total repair cost was over $3k and NVP told my mechanic that they only provide a flat rate of $750 for the AC repair. That barely covered the cost of a new compressor let alone all of the other needed parts and labor. Considering what I paid for the warranty package this felt like armed robbery. Lesson learned. I should have known better, and now you definitely do. Just follow your gut and don't do it. You're better off putting the money aside that you would spend on a warranty package in an account you don't touch and add a little to it every month. Build your own mechanical emergency fund and stop making these thieves rich.NVP Warranty

Hello Mr. *********
As defined by the terms and conditions of your 3 Star contract the full $750 limit of liability for the air conditioning was authorized and paid. We are happy to have been able to assist with the full amount of applicable coverage for that system. 1 starWe purchased a **** ******** ***** and was sold an extended warranty through this company. 5k miles later the engine failed. The repair bill is 19k and this company has capped the reimbursement at 3k. We paid 2k for the warranty! So they are really just giving us back our 2k with an extra thousand to boot. This company is a complete scam and should not have a A+ rating. I have been reading reviews for the last 10min and have not seen anything past a 1 star with most everyone having the same experience that we are. Complete SCAM!!!! If you are buying a used vehicle and the dealership uses this company, walk away from that dealership.NVP Warranty

5 starsMost 3rd party or aftermarket warranty providers routinely have hidden ways to not pay a claim. NVP has been a pleasure to deal with and I have never had an issue with them.NVP Warranty

1 starFormer partner used NVP 8+ years I am highly disappointed with the direction the company is headed & can no longer confidently sell NVP Products to my customers. Will no longer associate with NVP or their products & feel as though the strong manipulation used during the claim process puts our customer at an unfair disadvantage. Most recent issue showed us the new direction NVP is taking is the unethical manipulation of book value used to calculate claim payouts. NVP requested NADA Clean Trade Value to determine how much they could pay out on a claim. BlackBook Value - $2,625 / NADA Value - $1,310
Expecting fair business for our customer highly disappointed when NVP offered $500 toward claim. Based on their own protocol for using Book Values to determine Claim Payouts this made no sense at all. When challenged with this difference *** **** made a comment that shined the light on how NVP approached the situation *** said "Cancel gets them 470 dollars, claim pays 550. They would be losing 80 dollars" This comment was a direct look at how NVP approaches business and the unethical direction the company is headed. Instead of paying the claim value as they should have according to accurate book value, NVP offers the customer $80 over what they would get back if they decided to cancel the warranty. Dangling $80 over customer's head hoping they would take that vs what they would get if they canceled the warranty is a digesting business practice that we will not accept or be associated with. The claim should have paid out the book value minimum $1,310. The customer would have received $470 back in refund by canceled warranty. Instead of paying out the claim as an ethical business would, NVP tries to entice the customer to avoid canceling the warranty by offering $80 more than they would receive if they did cancel. Unethical and unfair, a very dishonest way to approach business. Very disappointed will no longer partner with a company that approaches business in a dubious way.NVP Warranty

Good morning *****,
as provided and explained across multiple platforms at this point the NADA value determined with publicly available values and is within the contract terms and conditions for the limits of liability.NVP Warranty

Hello *****,
As explained across multiple avenues to date the publicly available NADA trade in value was utilized in alignment with the VSC terms and conditions for the Limits of Liability.Review fromSedrick N

1 starThe NVP Warranty situation highlights a significant concern regarding the sale of extended warranties by independent dealers. When a dealer sells a warranty post-sale of a vehicle, customers often find themselves in a precarious position, particularly if the warranty lacks proper validation or coverage.
In my experience, I encountered this issue firsthand. I possessed an extended warranty that ultimately offered no value when I sought to make a claim. Instead of addressing my concerns and honoring the warranty, the warranty company chose to deny coverage, leaving me to navigate the complexities of the situation on my own.
This raises critical questions about the protocols in place for verifying the legitimacy of warranty sales and ensuring that consumers are protected. It is essential for companies like NVP Warranty to implement robust technology and customer service practices to prevent such scenarios and maintain public trust. Transparency and accountability in the warranty process are paramount, as consumer confidence hinges on the reliability of these services. Potential customers should exercise caution and conduct thorough research before entering into warranty agreements, particularly with independent dealers, to avoid similar pitfalls.NVP Warranty

Good morning *******
In reviewing the file related to the contract and claim it is noted the vehicle service contract was not purchased at the time of the vehicle sale. That requirement is explicitly stated within the "APPLICANT"s ACKNOWLEDGEMENT" on page 1 of the contract. During the adjudication process of the claim filed this information was reported by you and confirmed with supporting document. As a result the contract was cancelled as it did not meet the requirement for being sold at the time for vehicle sale.

2 starsPurchased Vehicle in January, didn't cover anything except the thermostat and Turbo, my out of pocket for the repair was 2716.74, as they were going back with the new parts discovered that there was no compression in the #2 Cylinder, Shop found a motor with more miles than the vehicle currently has. Do I know if its going to be covered, have zero idea, have called the dealership, who was no help. Even when I explained to the warranty company that these should be covered parts because they are all connected to the same part being replaced it was deniedNVP Warranty

Hello ****** ** ******
I’ve reviewed the claim currently on file, which is in the process of confirming whether a covered mechanical breakdown exists. If you’re able to provide any additional clarity regarding the situation, we’d be happy to review it.
Additionally, as per the last two conversations, once the repair facility has identified and confirmed a cause of failure, please ensure they contact us with that information so we can schedule a reinspection to verify.
Let us know if you have any questions or further updates.Review fromAaron S

1 starWorse experience ever if you go to a dealer and they offer this warranty turn around and run they won’t even cover washers or screws. What a scam I’m sure the owner is sipping something on a high end beach laughing at his clients smhNVP Warranty

I’ve reviewed the file and confirmed that the most recent claim had coverage applied. The estimate provided by the repair facility included a variety of components. We show those parts are available as part of an assembly, and we can offer to supply the full assembly as part of the claim.
Alternatively, the contract holder may choose to have the repair facility source individual components instead. In that case, the contract holder would be responsible for any costs that exceed what we are able to supply.
This approach offers flexibility for the contract holder to proceed with repairs using the parts configuration they prefer. There was a prior claim with a similar handling approach and coverage applied.
