      6/9/22, I ordered gutter protection from leaf filter. They scheduled the work for 6/20/22, but when the installer arrived his ladder was too short. The work was rescheduled for 7/6/22, but on that date they called and cancelled & rescheduled for 7/21/22, but on that date no one showed up nor was there a call to cancel. I called the *********** office (************) and was advised of a new date of 8/5/22, which no one showed up nor was I called. I again called the *********** office and again no answer just a recording, so I left another message requesting someone call me, which no one did. I called the Customer Service number on the contract and spoke to a lady obviously working from home as I could hear children yelling in the background. She said she would contact the *********** office. No call back. Monday 8/8/22, I again called the *********** office, and a recorder answered, so I left another message for some one to pleae call me. I immediately called the Customer Service nbr on the contract (************) and spoke to a ***** who said the computer showed I have been rescheduled for 8/19/22 and had no explanation why no one had called me. I'm assuming that I'm being ****** around is because I'm an 84 yr old senior citizen! I did tell ***** that if no one showed up on 8/19/22 that I would contact the AG of ********, she assured me that would not be necessary because the installers would definitely be at my home on 8/19/22.       and three of the times we did not even receive a phone call letting us know.   I again talked to the ********************* of leaf ********************** and as usual they were "so sorry".  *****, the lady I spoke with from CS said her computer shows I have now been rescheduled for 8/25/22 from noon to 4pm.  I am a senior citizen and frankly wonder if they are discriminating against me because of my age?????
      They may have a good product, but their customer service is the poorest I've seen in years!

      This is now the 6th time that Leaf Filter has either cancelled or no  showed the installation; (Contract dtd  6/9/22.)The manager did call me today and advised the install was cancelled for 8/25/22, since he was unable to find a contractor with a 40' ladder to do my job.  He gave me two choices, I could cancel the contract or I could wait until he could find a contractor with the 40' ladder.  

      They would like nothing more than to have me cancel and they could forget about me and the need for a 40" ladder. but I want the installation completed.
        Their customer service department does nothing but send the manager of the ****************** an email telling him of my phone call to them.
         What is your recommendation?  Would it do any good to contact the Attorney General's office??

      I suggested to the manager that they rent a lift, and he rejected the suggestion unless I was willing to pay for the lift.  There is nothing in the contract that says I would have to pay for one!!!!

      On 8/29/22. a lady from "corporate" called suggesting that I pay for scaffolding to complete my job.  I told her that I was not going to pay for any scaffolding or a lift.  There is absolutely nothing in my contract that even suggests that the customer should pay for anything extra if it were a difficult job.  She then suggested that I cancel the contract, which I refused to do as I wanted the leaf filter installed, I needed the gutter protection.  

       

      I believe it was on 8/25/22, a lady from Customer  Service (************)

      called me and discussed my case, she said she showed in the computer that my job was again scheduled for 9/2/22 between noon and 4 pm.

      9/2/22, this makes nbr 7 no show or cancel.  I'm back to square one.

      They want me to cancel, but I want the product!

      Per your email response, that leaf filter has determined that there is no safe way for our employees to install the product.  The contract has been cancelled.


      According to their response I must have the tallest two story home in the United States.  That is a cop out and we both know it.

      I sincerely feel that they owe me money for the inconveniences my wife and I suffered.  7 times they either cancelled or no showed and each time we made sure we did not go anywhere on those 7 days plus I have had to pay a person to clean my gutters twice because they didn't show up.  My home is surrounded by tall pine trees which shed those nasty pine needles & clog gutters.  That is why I hired Leaf Filter in the first place.

      This involves Leaffilter gutter protection. The salesman stated that we would never have to go up a ladder again to clean our gutters. He explained how the system worked and for $3297.00 an installer would come out and our issues would be solved. The installer was a subcontractor who never came until we complained and when he came to the house he appeared to be hung over. He installed the product. We later found out incrrectlly. As the year went by leaves accumulated on the filter system. My wife called to complain, and they sent someone out to clean the gutters. Again, the gutters glugged up with leaves they sent someone out and cleaned the gutter. Again, the gutters clogged up and they sent out a man to look at the issue. He said the product was installed incorrectly. He corrected the issue by reinstalling the front gutter but not the back, it was too high. He left the house. We called again and they sent a man who had injured his back and after an ice storm without the proper ladder to reinstall the rear gutter. For our liability's sake we asked him to return when the snow and ice had melted. We have yet to see anyone return and resolve the issue.

      11-23-21 installed leaf gutters. Paid 3,807.00. All workmanship is guaranteed for one calendar year. I have had many problems with this device. Such as icicles on the gutters, water overflowing causing mud puddles on the ground and leaves and debris built up on the gutters. The last appointment I tried to make to discuss this issue with this leaflitter company no one came or called after four hours. This device has not delivered what I was told it would do.       Customer’s dispute regarding ice dams is unwarranted.  Leaf Filter warranty specifically states our system does not prevent nor cause ice dams.  Ice dams are caused by sun or inadequate roof insulation melting the snow or ice on the roof.  Ice melt then reaches a colder section of the roof or gutter and refreezes.  The refreeze ice melt then builds up in that section.  Either the ice dams are caused by sun or by inadequate insulation in the customer roof, either is beyond the purview of the contract signed with Leaf Filter. Additionally, an inspection was completed on 8/15 and was found that there is no overflow issues and the Leaf Filter system is working as intended.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      My gutters and roof were replaced in February 2021, 9 months before the LeafFilter installation. So there is no issue with my roofing. The LeafFilter system does not work as advertised. Leaves sit in the gutter instead of being blown to the ground. Water is overflowing out of the gutters and causing pools in my yard. Please refer to receipt from 3/24/22 where it was acknowledged that water was sitting and gutter had to be repitched to help water flow. Also look at receipt from 4/14/22 where it was stated that gutter was resealed.

      We had leaf filter gutter guards installed on 5/7/2022. We had a rain on 5/26/22 and I sent pictures to the company to show them they were not doing the job as we had a waterfall coming from the gutters. They made an appointment to come check them 2 times but were no call/no shows. They sent the people that installed them out and finally showed but of course they were installed correctly. After a few more calls they finally sent a gentlemen out that checked them over and said they were not installed correctly and explained what should have been done. We have called and left several messages with no response. Now the numbers are restricted and we cannot reach them. We have spoken to the warranty division several times and always get the same answer "we will forward this and someone will contact you within 24 to 48 hours" with it not being followed through. We were guaranteed we wouldn't have to get on a ladder again and at 70+ are having to climb ladders to take care of their mess! We would like these to be removed and our money refunded! I would never recommend anyone using this company with the poor service we have received.

      I have only one gutter, on back of my house to keep water from my 12&12 pitch roof from rottingmy 30-foot wooden deck and avoid splashing siding. I tried various products to reduce leaf accumulation but none work. At my advanced age I was intrigued by LeafFilter's prolific TV, magazine, and newspaper ads touting their solution ("never again climb ladders to remove leaves", etc., etc.). On August 12, 2021 their salesman talked me into a contract replacing my two down-spout gutter and adding LeafFilter for $2268. It was completed (short one down-spout) and paid for by September 13, 2021. It never worked: leaves continue to accumulate damaging the edge of my roof and rain water still flows over onto my deck. I have spoken with LeafFilter more than once demanding at least some of my money back, with no response. LeafFilter is guilty of repeated nation-wide false advertising.

      A LeafFilter rep finally came to inspect several months ago, after weeks of LF insisting I be present and my declining.
      He looked and left without comment.
      I have heard nothing since.

      I purchased leaf filter guards. The company installed it. I had them come out due to buckling in the system. They fixed it. There is suppose to be a lifetime garantee on the sytem and we we told they stood behind the product. I called about the buckleing and they said i would have a 95 dollar service fee. We were told when purchase we would not have future fees. They lied about that and the sytem continues to buckle.

      Leaffilter did not do their job. Our gutters are dented, leaking, crooked downspouts, tacky pieced together downspouts. One was left white. The Leaffilter was not even installed like they said it was. Days later my husband noticed a lot of leaves coming out of the downspout. He got on a ladder and discovered they had not even put a Leaffilter on the gutters at all! But they charged us $8000. They told me the job was complete when they left here! One of the downspouts was so short that the water was pouring under the wood and into our screened in back porch when it rained. One downspout stuck out 2 feet from the house because they didn’t have the correct parts. Leaffilter never told us that they subcontracted their work out. These men did not know what they were doing. One came back after many days of me complaining and put up something that he said was the Leaffilter. It’s awful. Parts are missing, there are gaps everywhere. There is not enough room on here for me to tell you everything that has happened in just a month. Trusting Leaffilter and buying from them was the biggest mistake we have made with our new home. One of our downspouts leaks so bad. This is horrible. No one will contact me regarding this. I have asked for someone in charge to reach out to me. They won’t.

      Good afternoon! One thing that I did not mention in my complaint earlier today was that the Leaffilter salesman lied to us about something else. When he was at our home and going over the financing with us he toss us several times that this was a loan with zero percent interest. I asked him several times, just to confirm, and he assured us that this loan was 0% interest for 60 months. He also told us that the monthly payment would be $120.00.


      I got the bill in from ******* ** Card Services. It is actually charging us 19% interest and $240.00 a month. 

      Our first payment is due August 17.

      Good afternoon!


      The company that Leaffilter had us finance the gutter system through its ******* ******. The Leaffilter salesman that came to our house the first day was ****** ******** He told us several times that this was 0% interest for 60 months with a monthly note of $120. I asked him several times and he kept saying yes, that it is 0 %, 60mo. I have three witnesses that heard him say that in my kitchen. 

      However, I just got off the phone with ******* ******* Our interest rate is actually 19% each month and our payment is $244.00 a month.
       
      The interest each month is $134.00, which is more than our note was supposed to be. 

      ******* ****** said they will file a dispute against Leaffilter  and I will hear from them within 60 days. 
      Until then, we have a note  to pay that is actually out of our budget. This has been the worst experience.

      We bought a leaf filter system for our garage and house paid over ******* dollars for the system. Was told by the sales person it was grantee for life and if we had an issue they would come out fix it at no charge and now they are telling me it ****** to come out to the house and fix it. What a waste of money that I spent on this product. They are scamers for sure. Do not buy this product save your money.

      We had leaf filters installed on our house about 2 months ago. When they quoted us for price they said that also included replacing all of the down spouts because they’re cracked. They canceled multiple days in a row on the first installation of leaf filters and then said they didn’t have the down spouts and would be back the next day. They never returned and I had called a couple times to speak with a manager about the situation and they have never once returned a call or reached out at all. It’s been over 2 months with zero effort to resolve the issue and I’ve reached out multiple times. Finally I got a new day scheduled a couple weeks out because we can only do Monday’s (only day off work) they were suppose to come august 1st morning. They never showed up, I called 2 or 3 times to get an idea of what time they would arrive. At 5pm the scheduling department told me they can’t tell me why they didn’t show up and the manager of our branch would reach out. We have been flat out ignored and paid for work to be done that they are refusing to come back and finish. Absolutely horrible and terrible customer service.
