      I have had CareSource for a few years through the Marketplace. On Dec. 15, 2022 I used Healthcare.gov to renew my policy. I realized an hour or so later that it was a different policy and not HSA eligible. I cancelled the CareSource policy on Dec. 15 and signed up for a different company's policy. On December 27,2022 CareSource withdrew a premium from my checking account and I called them and said it was cancelled on Dec. 15. The CS rep said that it would take a few days to work out and suggested I call Healthcare.gov. Long story short 6 calls, over 4 hours of phone time, mail received as if I was a member (twice), different time lines for refund, told 15 additional memberships opened in my name. I called my bank on Jan 18 for fear Care Source would withdraw another premium. The bank refunded my premium the next day! I asked the last CS rep if she was overseas and she said yes. Come on CareSource. Do a better job of training your Customer Service and give them the tools to assist your members. Also, fix that Cancellation issue from Healthcare.gov.

      If I could give this no stars I would. I have had knee pain since 16 I am 21 now. I have had 4 surgeries and never had a problem with caresource approving the surgeries. Until the 5th surgery I got told that one of my levels being low I way around 215 and got asked if I was considering a diet or weight loss somebody please tell me how am I going to lose weight when I can’t do anything with knee pain I cannot jump I cannot run I cannot go to the gym because I am in constant pain but for caresource to decline my surgery and careless about people being in pain or peoples mental health is very unprofessional and very disrespectful but again they get paid either way. Do not recommend this insurance company it’s a joke. Such disrespectful people and company. With that being said reading the reviews anyone considering this insurance company DO NOT!!!

      Care Source HAS NO HEART. NO Stars deserved
      I was on CareSource (CS) Ohio Marketplace in 2022. The company seemed great initially until they had a computer glitch. Note that CareSource made the mistake. Now I am paying, real money for their mistake.
      In November 2022, CS stopped my coverage due to a computer error. CS then reprocessed all my prior paid claims for 2022 as if I wasn't a CS member for the year. I paid all my bills yet, I started getting calls for claims I had already paid, CS customer service they said they would correct the problem. After resolving the computer glitch, they reprocessed my claims again. This time there were differences between the original Claim EOB's and the "correctly reprocessed". Now I have pay providers from March and April 2022 more money because CS paid part of these claims originally and now after being reprocessed in December they won't. What the heck how can these be different.
      NO one at CS Customer support could explain so I was told my only recourse was to appeal. The appeal responses have come back and they denied the appeal. ALL of this started with a computer Glitch on CS part. How come I am paying over $400 for their Mistake? CS Has NO Heart

      As far as going to doctor's offices it's okay, but when it comes to getting my anxiety medicine every 3 to 4 months they ask for prior authorization which is ridiculous because I have been on the medicine since 2003 and the same doctor since 1996 but yet it takes forever to get the prior authorization and I go a week without my medication which is a very serious issue, CareSource needs a way better system to make sure that their patients stay on medication at all times prior authorization or not

      They don’t want to pay cheap, they said cause u am on medicad. No providers in Dayton hardly. No dtr going to except there cheap ways . Apt today and they called me a Uber wow, yesterday I am there a hour early !!! Third party companies. Smh. Caresource not wanting to do job and throwing it on other companies.. they send me over 40 miles way. I am in Dayton. Treat people like trash . I bet if I was in wheelchair I be treated differently , not getting my eye care dental exc

      Want to cancel your plan? Be prepared to give half your day on hold hearing a constant loop of rubbish. No other links or options to cancel. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel.

      I’ve had insurance through a different company for 9 months. I called several times to cancel and was jerked around every time. Today, after sitting on hold for an hour and 23 minutes finally spoke to “Katherine” who finally successfully transferred me to kynect who ultimately cancelled the plan.
      There will be NO reimbursement for the 9 months that they continued to charge my bank account.
      I would never recommend anyone to use “Care”source or kynect for that matter, it may be cheap, but they don’t approve Dr orders or medications. Good luck canceling!

      Absolutely atrocious insurance! I have 5 bulging discs in my cervical spine. My pain doctor suggested a cortisone shot to help relieve my intractable pain. In a rational universe a cortisone shot should not require a high level medical determination by the insurance company. However CareSource has denied my claim and multiple appeals for frivolous reasons. After spending over an hour on the phone today with clueless customer service they refused to expedite my claim. Please stay clear of this horrible company!
