I used Klarna to purchase tickets to an event with Ticketmaster. Event was cancelled so my payment was refunded to Klarna. However, they did not refund it to my debit card on file that Imade payments with. They refunded it my Klarna balance. So, the money is stuck in the Klarna balance on the app. After talking to 3 different customer service **** they claim they cannot move the money to my card on file. All I can do is use it for future Klarna purchases.Business Response

On July 31st I had created an account with klarna in order to make an **** purchase and after making my account I was quickly promoted to deposit money into my 'klarna balance' which I did.After depositing the amount I would need to make my first payment (35$) I was denied credit for the amount of the item.I tried again in smaller amounts all the way down to the minimum 35$ per purchase only to be denied again.They will not allow me to use my balance to purchase anything and I want to be refunded the amount of my 35$ deposit.Business Response

On July 3, 2025, I purchased a DOT Specimen Collector course from ********************* for $388 using Klarna payment method. The merchant advertised that I would receive course materials for the class including a syllabus, mock exam kit, blank custody control forms and digital course info. Shortly after purchase I received digital content that I did not pay for nor was I interested in! I was also sent an incorrect course date for April 26, 2025 rather than the one I registered for (August 9, 2025) which was a huge red flag. The merchant delayed responses when this was brought to her attention which made me feel as if I was scammed and then ultimately blocked me on the platform I sought out the course. I filed a dispute with Klarna on July 9, 2025. That claim was denied on July 30, 2025. Of citing the merchants no refund policy despite the fact that the merchant broke their own agreement and failed to deliver.
I submitted a second claim on August 4, 2025, citing non-delivery and receiving a product significantly different than advertised, and attached supporting documentation including screenshots, the merchants course agreement, and proof of missing physical materials and no tracking information, proof of she blocked me from the original platform where her policys and course information after bringing the wrong dated to her attention. Klarnas no-refund justification contradicts their own Buyer Protection policy, which clearly states that undelivered goods or materially different items qualify for protection. It is unacceptable that Klarna overlooked all evidence of fraud and failed delivery, allowing the merchant to keep my payment without fulfilling their obligation. I am seeking a full refund of $388 for the course I never received.

I am rejecting this response because I am writing to update my dispute with crucial information that clearly demonstrates my right to a refund under Klarna's Buyer Protection policy.
The merchant has failed to provide the services I paid for. The class policy required that book materials and online logins for the book exam portion be provided two weeks prior to the second part of the class, scheduled for August 9th. The class start date was only for mock exams, and I never received any of the promised book materials or logins.
To make matters worse, on August 5th, the merchant retaliated against my dispute by emailing a class withdrawal notice. I was also blocked after I initially reached out with questions on July 3rd.
I have not received what was promised, and the merchant's actions since then are a clear form of retaliation. I have provided more than enough evidence to support my claim that the services were never rendered. Therefore, I am not requesting an investigation; I am requesting Klarna's Buyer Protection to be applied to this case immediately and for a full refund to be issued.

I purchased an order from ****** in the amount of $3,110.37 on May 29, 2025 and financed it through Klarna. Upon picking up the order from the post office, I was made aware of a customs fee that was due in the amount of $345. Per the attached in the documentation, I contacted ****** as they didn't tell me I would be subject to a customs fee, and they refunded me the customs fee of $345.00 to my original form of payment, which was Klarna.
As such, ****** paid Klarna the $345, however Klarna applied the credit to my account on June 19, 2025. I immediately called Klarna and requested that the $345 be refunded to my account directly. Please follow-up with Klarna's representative for the chat logs. I told the representative that I would be returning the clothes, then the representative stated that once the clothes were returned, I would receive the excess credit back to my account.
Upon calling today, August 6, 2025, a representative from Klarna told me that they would be unable to refund me the $345 because I didn't make a payment on the account, and as such, was not owed the money. I reiterated to the representative the conversation I had in June, to which she replied misinformation was given. I stated this was incorrect, and asked to speak to a manager, for which she refused to connect me with. I stated that I would be reporting Klarna for misappropriation of funds, deceptive practices, including a host of other issues.
Ultimately, I would prefer Klarna refund me the $345 to my account before I seek further action via legal representation and social media postings.Business Response

They processed two different refunds which ultimately refunded the full order, not giving you a refund for said customs fee. At this time you will need to contact the merchant regarding the reimbursement as Klarna is not able to assist with this. It appears based on your response, ****** fulfilled their request to me and provided me with the customs fee refund to my original form of payment. It was then Klarna who chose to apply the payment how they saw fit, which was as an "adjustment" to my outstanding balance. As such, Klarna received money it was not owed, and when the order was returned, the $345 did not refund back to ****** or myself, as the Klarna representative stated it should have in June. Since Klarna decided to appropriate the funds as they saw fit to my account with any guidance or directive from me, the onus is on Klarna to refund me the money that it received, as it is not owed to them. It is clear from the screenshots provided that the money from ****** should have made its way to my account. Instead, Klarna misappropriated the funds, applied to my account out their own volition, and even after I called to speak with a representative regarding receiving my funds, Klarna is choosing not to honor their obligation and pay me my money. Klarna is still in clear possession of my funds, and this is improper and illegal.

The system applies any returns to the order as that is what the return system is meant for. Again, the merchant will need to process such reimbursement outside of Klarna as we are not able to receive more funds than the order is worth nor process a refund for an order that has zero made payments. The pool was messed up to begin with so I took it back, after taking it back my balance came to ***** is what I had left to owe, but they are still trying to make me pay interest of ***** totaling in ***** on an installment that isnt happening and was taken back. They are notorious for not caring about customer payments and just making them pay or they will ruin people credit of $20. On July 3, 2025, I purchased a course from ********************* for $388 using Klarna. I am rejecting this response because: I am writing to express my complete dissatisfaction with the recent communication from your team regarding my dispute against **********************
I understand that my account has been zeroed out, but the email I received is unacceptable. My claim was for non-delivery of services and merchant retaliation, not an "unauthorized purchase." Your email shows that your team has completely disregarded the evidence I provided, including documentation of the merchant's failure to provide materials and their retaliatory actions.
This is not a matter of "courtesy." I am entitled to this resolution under Klarna's buyer protection policy. The evidence I submitted proves that the merchant engaged in fraudulent behavior by not providing the services I paid for and then retaliated against me for filing a dispute.
The fact that your team miscategorized my claim and sent me a canned response about "unauthorized purchases" is a clear example of disorganization and a failure to properly investigate the facts. It is a disservice to the customers you are meant to protect.
I expect Klarna to acknowledge the true nature of my claim and correct their records. This was not a courtesyit was a necessary resolution based on a merchant's failure to deliver services.

I purchased a photo booth from Mwe360 through Klarna. The product came defective and did not work properly as advertised online. I reached out to both companies to inform them and send documentation regarding the defective product. Mwe360 has not responded took my money $599 and has not responded about the issue or refund regarding the item. Klarna has not paused the on going payments through their website until the investigation was over.I had to call my bank to put a stop payment on the reoccurring payment until the issue is resolved. However, Klarna is telling me to contact the seller who will not respond even though I bought the product through Klarna. Klarna can paused payment indefinitely but will not do it. I used this service to make a purchase with **** I never received my shoes so I contacted klarna after trying to get ahold of a HQ for **** (which I never found) and I contacted klarna they said they needed proof but when you search for **** there is no listed address or phone number or live chat there is nothing for me to do I I figured since I used klarna service they would help since they ARE the ones who paid for it I paid for 1500 dollar shoes AND **** never asked for signature nor is it an option for me while checking out I offered a police report I offered every thing I can but klarna is asking me for proof … please helpBusiness Response
