I bought a warranty for my home and I have used the warranty before for my washer and now when I went to use it again I find found they went out of business in 2022 and I haven't
received any refund. My warranty was for 5 years and would have ended in 2026. I wasn't notified that they were closing and they kept they money that was paid to them.

I purchased a 3-year warranty on 6/21/2021 from AHW to expire on June 25, 2024. Since then, they paid $63 on a claim and refused others. I just called their number for a legitimate claim, as shown in the warranty contract and it seems that they are no longer in business, as the phone numbers in the contract are no longer working. I purchased a three year home warranty with AHW Home Warranty on 10-6-2022 in the amount of $1425. (contract attached) When I needed to use the warranty service, I called for service and the number was disconnected. Upon further investigation, it appears the company is no longer in service. I originally purchased a policy from Amazon Home Warranty (AHW) in April 2020 for $54 a month.
June 2022, I filed a claim for my dishwasher. According to my plan, if they could not fix it, the would reace it. The repairman they sendvput said it could not be fixed. They sent me a check for $225 which barely covered the Installation fee for a new dishwasher.
February 2023: my roof developed a small leak. I call AHW to file a claim using my limited roof leak. They refused to send anyone and told me to find my own repairman. I would one who did a temporary fix for a small fee. I hoped this would give AHW time to send someone, but they refused. They told me that I could pay someone, but they would only pay if they approved the work beforehand. In the mean time, the small leak was becoming a big problem. I ended up paying to have it fix.
I havee tried to calll to review my policy since but have not been able to find a working number. This is disturbing because they continue to take money from my bank account every month. About a week ago, I filed a fraud claim and put a stop payment for further withdrawals. I have since read that the company went out of business. I would like to know when they went out of business and how to get a refund. I have recently learned that AHW has several government cases pending against them. Dec 2021 paid $1,530 for a 3 year contract. Filed a claim in 2023 and they said to fix the issue and then file for reimbursement. Now I find out they are out of business. Paid for a 3 year home owners policy and the company went out of business without refunding the insurance premiums.
