    I purchased a 4th Generation Tablo for Christmas 2023. My 4th Generation Tablo died (bricked) on 9/17/2025, so outside the 12-month warranty. Obviously, I am unhappy with any device which does not even last two years. Apparently, I am not alone. According to ****** ****** There are multiple discussions on forums and social media where users describe similar experiences. ****** ****** further writes that One common theory is that the failures are due to poor thermal management in the device. So, my question: is my Tablo device failure due to a design defect?[[ to be fair and transparent with Tablo, I asked them to review my words above, and they requested no changes, stating that they had no concerns with me leaving my honest review, and including my question about a potential design defect; that they will take into consideration and share this information with the Tablo team. ]]

    My Tablo unit has not been working correctly for over 2 months. Tech Support is non-existent telling me to be patient when I call in. However emails from Tablo Support (********) tell me that "we are not accepting requests for incorrect guide data and that we do not currently have an ETA on when this will be fixed"! Totally unacceptable! Since day one, I was able to use a different zip code other than my location to get a correct Tablo guide. I was told to do this by Tablo. However, NOW they use location services and when I try to put a zip code that I know works, it gives me a message "Your Tablo is out of range". Example of 2 channels: Tablo guide 2.1 ** **, however when I select watch live, it plays *** (which is correct) in my viewing area Tablo guide 4.1 *****, select watch live and it plays *** (which is also correct for my viewing area) I think if they took away location services and allow you to select a zip code out of your local viewing area, it would fix MY problem. Very unhappy if I could give them a negative stars, I would!

    Our team is aware of this limitation and we’re actively working on improvements to guide accuracy. In the meantime, while using a completely different market’s zip code will no longer work due to the use of location services, we do recommend trying a neighbouring zip code within your local broadcast area. This can sometimes provide more accurate results while still keeping the guide aligned with your actual channel lineup.

    Customer service reps rarely answer the phone. You wait on hold for 15 minutes, and then a bot says they are too busy and to call back. Only one local network channel was availabe to be on the app in the ******* market. It is a complete waste of $130, and I would suggest you not purchase this faulty junk.

    I have been an avid user of Tablo for 4+ years. I bought a Gen 4 8 months ago and it has now completely failed. The unit will not power up. I’ve talk to the less than satisfying tech support and they are useless. Non technical at all. The product carries a manufacturers 1 year warranty. If you buy one other than through Tablo Store, they will NOT honor their warranty. I’ve spent multiple call with tech support and they tell me they can’t find any record of a purchase and need an Order Number to replace the unit. That was 8 months ago and I DON’T have an order number or remember if I bought this unit at one of their suppliers or direct like I’ve done in the past with Gen 1, so they will not replace the unit. FAILURE TO HONOR THEIR 1 YEAR WARRANTY. As I’ve had multiple contact directly with the tech engineers in the past many years, now I can’t talk with anyone as they are strictly email of their ticket system and that is just a stop gap. I’ve been a recommender of their products for years and now I’m doubtful of their service or support. Ticket ****** If this is not resolved, I will not recommend this company, or their products. Plus I will ensure through various social media platforms of their lack of support for their produced product warranty.

    DO NOT BUY TABLO. 0 stars if possible. Tablo is junk. It works 40% of the time. Its like a daily ritual. You open Tablo and see how its acting? which will dictate which streaming app you will be watching. Tablo is truly a worthless piece of hardware, a cheating wife or husband has more value. Tablo basically does not work, customer service blames EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING except for the junk they sell. The Tablo system is not stable, when it works? It does not work. The saved remind you are actively watching? Just disappears and Tablo goes right to current programming. After the 10th time? The Tablo puck finally served its purpose. The Tablo puck makes a wonderful piece for target practice.

    TABLO works great, if you set it up correctly. Use a more powerful outdoor antenna, hardwire it to Ethernet and use newer streaming devices.

    I was so excited to get this - until I have a problem EVERY OTHER DAY with it not working correctly. I have called Tablo SO many times. From either the app not connecting (just spins) to keep getting the error "Tablo not found" (the app installed on my tv). I CONSTANTLY have to reset/reboot it. I wish there were another alternative - I still may send it back

    Seems I'm not the only one that's having problems. I've been a customer for about a year and their old system's software was good and worked well, even though the TV Tuner reception was awful. At least the software was useable, but the generation 3 was only available for ******** Firestick. They advertised the new hardware and software this past spring, saying that they now had an app for ******* TVs with the 4th generation of Tablo units. I bought new units on ****** and loaded the new ******* app on my ******* TVs. Now I could remove the intrusive Firesticks. But wait! Nothing on the new software is working correctly unless it's run on the Firestick. The ******* app has so many bugs I need an exterminator. At first, I talked to them on the phone and through support and realized it was a new system that needed working on. That was 3 or 4 months ago. I decided to open up a new support ticket because that's been enough time to fix the problems. They ask for information, I send it, they close the ticket. Nothing was fixed. I ask them to reopen the ticket, they do, they ask for information, I send it, they close the ticket. Nothing was fixed. Seems to be an ongoing problem and "THE TRUTH" would help my disposition. If they are still having problems with the app software, they need to just say it or give me my money back on the 3 new Tablo's I have. They either need better coders or admit that possibly they are in over their heads. STOP the stalling.

    It never works! If I can actually get it to connect it won't play. I called multiple times I'm always told to uninstall the app and reinstall or email us. They want videos of what it is doing which won't load the way they want you to do it. This last time I called he Again said to uninstall and reinstall the app. And then it should work the next time you try. Well then I've missed the program that I was trying to record.What's the point. I've told them multiple times that it doesn't work that every time they Maybe get it to come on the next time I turn on it's not working again, and that I would like my money back.Because it does nothing they say it's going to do and every time I ask they refuse. It wasn't worth $5, let alone the 150, we paid for it!

    Constant problem giving me a way to enroll. Freezing and going to ****. I have been a customer for 9 months. Cannot access my local channels. No consistent customer service way to correct.
