On March 20, 2024 purchased via online qty 1 40' container. Vendor stated they do not hold inventory and would send the order to the "yard" to see when one can be delivered. Stated deliver for next day, then called back stating in 1 week, 1 week later contacted ****** who stated it would be delayed, cancelled order. ****** claims to have refunded all but $350 for a "restocking fee" when I explained they hold no stock, they changed the conversation to cancellation fee. Refused to refund my monies.

Our normal lead time is roughly 10 business days as an average timeframe you canceled your order within the 10 days period window when we already had a unit ready at the yard to start setting up delivery to you. So yes due to cost incurred to us and you canceling your order early there is a cancelation fee as our terms and conditions states. You could've not have canceled and had a container delivered to you.

Our normal lead time is roughly 10 business days not the next day, as an average timeframe you canceled your order within the 10 days period window when we already had a unit ready at the yard to start setting up delivery to you. So yes due to cost incurred to us and you canceling your order early there is a cancelation fee as our terms and conditions states. You could've not have canceled and had a container delivered to you. Our terms and conditions states: "If a order is canceled the customer is subject to cancellation fee's of $350.00 plus $150 per container restocking fee per container when applicable, Credit Card charges plus any other direct expense if applicable. " We changed you cancelation fee and did not charge an additional $150 restocking fees for the unit. You saying we charged an addition $150 restocking fee is not a correct statement.
If you wish to buy from us again we can credit you back the cancelation fees.Customer Answer

Container One has submitted a response and/or proposal to resolve this complaint. On 3/21/2024 I had a "Cargo Worthy" shipping container being delivered to my residence. Prior to unloading, I noticed that it had 2 (major) parallel indentations in the roof where it had obviously been crushed in by a high-capacity forklift. These indentations measured approximately 5' in length 3'' in depth, resulting in a significant reduction of interior clearance. I called the vendor, Container One, to report this issue an and obtain an alternate container with only "Minor dents" as advertised in writing on their website. The representative refused to send out a replacement and instead offered suggestions of how I might go about making repairs to the container in order to bring it up to the advertised condition. The representative also explained that the container could be refused for a refund minus a $950 restocking fee. Being that the items to be stored would not clear the crushed portion of the container, I had no choice but to refuse the container and purchase from another supplier.

Our description says they can have dents, rust, and previous repairs. Nothing you turned this container away for was against CW certification. Looks like a normal industry used Cargo Worthy container to us. Because you turned it away for no viable reason yes there are cancelation and trucking fees involved (listed in our Terms and conditions you agreed to when purchasing). If you do order with us again we can credit the cancelation fees but not originally truck costs.Customer Answer

Container One has submitted a response and/or proposal to resolve this complaint. The details are as follows:
We still stand behind our decision the dents you have been stating are bad are not at all and are common dents this probably happened just from other container being stacked during shipments. The dents didn't comprise the container strength or hurt any frame just indented the top roof corrugation in 2 spots. The dent still rest higher then the door frame itself not interfering with with loading or unloading the container. They are used for international shipping for years gathers dents rust, and patches. This unit will still pass as cargo worthy just as our Description says. You opted to return it with fees.Initial Complaint

On Jan 2 2024 I purchased 2 containers I was told that they will deliver with in 2 weeks then they didn't had a driver I call many time and they didn't had a driver then it was raining they said they can't deliver I was working 8 hrs away from home I drive home literally 3 times for them to deliver and never happend then when they said they had a driver it was wet at my place I told them it rain, darla Clark is the one that help me she was very nice she talk to her boss saying that if they Don deliver them by mon March the 4 she will refunded it my money then she call me and said that they will deliver Tuesday, I was ok so Tuesday I call them and was informed that they are sending me my money back, then I call darla she text me saying that she was not allowed to talk to me no more, that she was out of that I have this texts so they keep 350.00 of my money I don't agree whit that because I lost money driving home from work to waiting for containers RAIN was Not the number 1 factor for them not delivering my containers it was the driverInitial Complaint

I purchased a 20 foot shipping container on 02/21/2024 for the amount of $2,778. I was told the container would take approximately 3 weeks before delivery.
On 03/04/2024, I requested to cancel the order because I arrived at my new residence and learned it was not possible for the container to fit, nor was it possible for the delivery truck to access the property. I received a pending refund of $2,428 and was told I would not be fully refunded due to a $350 cancelation fee. I never signed a contract or made an implication that I agreed to a cancelation fee.
On 03/06/2024, the $2,428 refund was canceled from my card, so I have now paid the full price of $2,778 for a product I will never receive. No one from the accounting department has returned my calls.Initial Complaint

They had containers on sale and I ordered a 40. However after discussing it more with my husband it was decided a 20 would be better. I let the rep know and was told it would get changed. I got a call from their shipping department and was told the container would be delivered sometime the following week and someone would call prior. So we ordered gravel for the pad and had to take down fence and put temporary fencing. 2weeks went buy and I finally called and was told the truck was broke down. Also told the order was not changed to the 20. Found out after this that the sale was now over and they wouldnt honor the sale price. During this time because of the temporary fencing our dogs got out twice. So when another week went by I emailed canceling the order. I was contacted that very day about delivering. The sale price was still not honored. They did issue me a refund but Id was less the ****** cancellation fee. Because our decision to cancel was due to them not honoring the sale price and the length of time we waited for delivery resulting in our dogs getting out and causing several frustrating weeks I feel the cancellation fee should be waived.

We are sorry for any inconvenience you had with the changing of container size after order placement, and a truck breaking down delaying some deliveries in your area. The change in size was correctly addressed and initiated on 11/2, Container One then started getting your order ready again with the new size of container. We reached out to you on 11/9 to get you set up for delivery once we had an opening in the driver schedule, You wanted to cancel the order. We could've set up delivery the next day on 11/10, but you insisted on continuing to cancel your order. We do have cancellation fees involved when canceling an order we have ready and waiting to deliver. Which is in our terms and conditions. However if you did order again with us we can credit this Cancellation fee back to you and we also currently have a Holiday sale going on that *** interest you and save some money.Initial Complaint

4/21/23 l talked to the finance dept.(I think his name was *********************)he said looking at your notes and because of my medical problems that he would waive the fee (restocking fee).On 5/1/23 I called him back, he said he didn't remember the conversation.

We do have cancelation fees involved when canceling an order we have ready and waiting to deliver. Unfortunately no one at our office has a name of ********************* and our accounting department didn't agree to waiving fees. Looks like you needed specialized equipment to make this deliver do to a lot of winding turns and we had the equipment ready and waiting for your confirmation and you decided to cancel the order. On the plus side looks like you you where only charged 1 cancelation instead of 2, so one fee was already waived for you. If you are looking to get containers in the future be sure to reach out to ** and we will be able to credit you back the fee.Customer Answer

I purchased a wind and water right 40 foot high cube container from container one. It was advertised and contracted as wind and water tight. I paid approximately $4000 for it and it arrived on Wednesday 2/15/23. It was covered in rust and had rust holes in the ceiling of the container, which was pointed out to the delivery driver. I was not going to sign for it, but the driver said he would take pictures, which he did and said patch kits would sent after the pictures were reviewed by the company. After his explanation I signed for the container. When speaking with the container one rep, I was notified i would need to wait for it to rain and take a pictures of the actual leak or get on top of the container myself, pour water on the container then go down and inside to check for any leaks. I demanded a refund as I had not received what I was promised and was told they would charge me a restocking fee. I feel I have been bamboozled into signing for a rust bucket of a container and container one is not keeping up its end of the deal. The resolution I would like is for container one to either send patch kits or give me a complete refund. I dont understand how its my responsibility to climb on top of huge shipping container and possibly hurt myself when its not my job to make the container wind/water right. Thats container ones job
