      Please DO NOT use this company. Im actually begging you and I never write reviews. **Mentions scamming and stealing***My elderly parents used them last Thursday for their move and got scammed. My parents, who are both in their 70s, were quoted by *** $1200 to move furniture and some boxes. On the day of the move, my parents and the movers get to the new location which was a couple of miles away, and the main mover ***** requested a payment of over $3000 before they unloaded the truck . My mom tried to explain that she was quoted a different price and she couldnt pay what he was asking in which they told her they couldnt take her things out of the truck then. Unfortunately, she paid it since she didnt know what to do in that moment.A few days after the move, I went to the old house to start removing my belongings (which was not part of the move) and I noticed two of my expensive designer bags were missing. I asked my mom if they were in the new place. She told me no and that the day of the move, the workers went back to the old house alone because one of the workers left his phone there. She didnt go with since she was really tired from the day and didnt think of my bags since they were in my room and nothing was supposed to be touched in there. I called the company and spoke to the office manager ***** to explain to her what happened. She was very defensive of her workers and rude. I wanted the names of the workers to file a police report but she said the person who does the claims will give me the names even though she had my parents account up and the names were right there. It has been a headache to say the least and just upsetting to be violated like that and have your belongings stolen not matter what the price tag is.

      My biggest regret is not reading these reviews BEFORE I hired Tri-State Movers. The absolute worst company experience I've ever had. These people should not only be put out of business but they should be put in JAIL!!! They are criminals! I encountered all the same issues that customers in previous complaints stated. Didn't show up on date they were supposed to. When they finally did show up, they smelled of marijuana. they charged me more than double the estimate. Why do they send a sales rep to the home? It means nothing!!! A waste of time and he takes accountability for nothing. My stuff didn't arrive to my destination until 17 days later. They use a rented BUDGET truck? Where are their company vehicles? They wouldn't even open the back of the truck until I paid them in full. When they did open the truck, I was appalled!! They literally threw my stuff in the back of that truck. My stuff...broken, missing including original artwork (which I am sick over). The staff at this company is TOTALLY incompetent. DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THIS COMPANY. IN FACT, PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS SO THEY CAN'T ROB ANY BODY ELSE. IT'S A CRIME. They absolutely do not deserve the one star that this review forces you to give. Trust me... negative stars is what it should be .
