      Beware! I sold back 3 books. One of them, I had bought from BooksRun and never used, and they said they would give me $14 for it, for a total of around $20. After receiving the books from me, they then told me that there were marks in that particular book and dropped their price to $.50, making my total around $6 instead of $20. What a rip-off!

Price quotes may be adjusted in case the item's condition is different from quoted, which is exactly the matter with your buyback orders.Upon processing, it appears that the items:1. Making Connections Level 4 Student's Book with Integrated Digital Learning: Skills and Strategies for Academic Reading (ISBN: *************) had its quote adjusted automatically from $14.06 to $0.50.2.Q Skills for Success ********************* 3rd Level 3rd Edition Student book and IQ Online Access (ISBN: *************) had its quote adjusted automatically from $1.13 to $0.90.3. ****-***** Grammar - (AE) - 5th Edition - Student Book A with App - Fundamentals of English Grammar (ISBN: *************) had its quote adjusted automatically from $6.26 to $5.01 because we received the books with the signs of markings that did not correspond to Used Very Good condition initially ********* order to determine which category the textbooks we receive fit, we use Amazon guidelines. The simplified version of those is presented on our website. You may also see our buyback condition guide for more information. Our processing department carefully inspects each and every book and distinguishes the items in accordance with a wide range of features.For these reasons, the condition of the books in question was automatically changed from Used - Very Good initially quoted to Used - Acceptable, and the quotes changed accordingly.Therefore, by taking into account the quote adjustment, your order was placed "On Hold" for 7 days so that you could either accept the quote or decline it and have the item shipped back to your address. The notification regarding the opened disputes was sent to your email address. However, since you accepted the adjustments, the order was automatically reprocessed on 07/08/2025. The payment was issued to the ****** account stated by you inside the order details on 07/11/2025.Once again, we are grateful that you brought this matter to our attention.       I rented a book from this company. it was easy and relatively simply. Now to the issue, the company claims water damage. Im like okay, lets see the "water damage" I received 1 picture X4 of the same picture. The company claims it wasn't there. Mind you, the picture doesn't show proof that it was the book I rented. No information, just a crappy picture without any book title.I was charged for the "water damage". Please BEWARE of renting a book from this company.

According to our records, within the order in question the item Professionalism in ************ A Primer for Career Success, ISBN ************* was rented for 35 days with the expiry date stated as 06/17/2025.Please be informed that, while placing an order, each customer agrees with our policy, which states that items rented may correspond to any condition between New and Used - Acceptable. In concordance with the accepted policy, the rented item in Used - Good condition was sent. This particular condition implies some general signs of tear and wear, some markings, highlighting etc.; however, all the text should be legible and all pages included. The item might show wear from consistent use, but it remains in good condition and functions properly.According to our records, the item was returned to our warehouse on 06/30/2025, however, we received it with water damage signs. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, which all our customers agree to be bound by, if the item received exhibits signs of damage, the customer is to report the issue to the seller directly within 7 days after the items delivery. Otherwise, the customer becomes solely responsible for any condition change incurred. It is also mentioned that when you receive your rental item, it still belongs to BooksRun, unless the purchase price is charged. If a rental item is damaged by the user to the point of being unusable when returned, a purchase price will be ********** case with order #*******, the charge was automatically estimated by our system taking into account the purchase price of the book and the condition alterations since water damaged automatically changed the initial condition of the book to Used - Acceptable. Since the book was returned to us in a condition which differs significantly from the initially rented condition, the charge in the amount of $18.59 was applied accordingly.We have no doubts that there was no intention to deceive us from your side, therefore, once you contacted us, in order to make up for the inconvenience caused, we were happy to investigate the case and assist you in a timely fashion.Once again, we are grateful that you brought this matter to our attention.       This company is a scam. They said 5 of my books were fraudulent, cancelled my account, and said they didnt have to return any- I sent 11. They refuse to pay me for any of them and said their policy is to destroy them even though they can prove how mine were fraudulent. I spent thousands on those books for school- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

      This is a scamming company. Do not send books to them. I am thinking of filing a complain with the ************************ for their unfair trade. Buyback order #******* has never been paid. Yet, their website stated paid with the false track link. They either want to return the books or make the payment. Also, do not trust their higher buyback price. They will ALWAYS reduce the price once you send your books to them. I have emailed them multiple times requesting my books as they never pay the books that I sent. For the federal law,, they are scamming customers and have committed crime by creating the false document for payment without of signature. Again, this is a scamming company. Do not trust them.

      Ads for my book There Is No H*** have started showing up on ***** and with games I play. I did not authorize them to do this. I never heard of them until I started seeing the ads. I've tried contacting them, but they don't answer. I'm passing it off as free advertising. Besides it's cheaper to buy it on ******. :)They are charging $3.61 more than ****** and my website.

      I had a less than great experience with this company. I was originally quoted over $18 for my book. When all was said and done, I only received $12.99. I reached out to customer service on May 2 and received an email stating I would hear back within 48 business hours. It has been 8 days and I still haven't heard anything. Very disappointing experience all around.

      Sent 3 books quoted at $55. All were "used" but in pristine condition. ***** says they never arrived because the business is closed or unavailable, but somehow BooksRun still gave me a revised quote of $16. Not sure how 1) the quote could decrease that much when the books were practically untouched and 2) how you could even give a quote when the books weren't received. Just a heads up for anyone else thinking of selling. It's a scam.
