1 starFILE WITH NYC against JUNE HOMES people - this is why they keep getting away with this behavior - They are guilty of false advertisement - failure to adequately provide services they offer - yes they show already occupied rooms and advertise rented rooms as available - they raise rent fees well beyond the 10% cap NYC has on non regulated apartments - they do not maintain the buildings in due fashion and what HAVE they done with 50 million dollars in funding over the last 3-4 years - not fix the building I am renting in - and yes - they do change codes on the website without changing them in the building - fire hazards everywhere - they pick their victims and thing NYC is not onto them yet - they are - contact the NYC DOB and file a complaint there - I believe - working on that as I head to housing court against this company-ugh- and possibly the building owner if it turns out they are complicit - YWA-87th ********** according to JUNE HOMES lease agreement - I can continue but will pause here after this - PAY ATTENTION - again not all people have this experience with them - or they just don't get effected because they are gone all day traveling from all over the world and country to get things done - June Homes banks on this - BANKS on it!June

Hi *****,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We've looked into the concerns you raised, and based on our records, we were unable to validate a breach of lease. We can also see that you are continuing your stay even after your lease ended and requested a lease extension. This indicates that the concerns raised in the review are not reflective of your stay as you may have chosen to move-out.
We always strive to provide the best possible service.

1 starIf you just found out about June Homes and you think it sounds too good to be trueit is. In the eight months of living in one of their apartments, which is located in a building filled with drug addicts, we have gone through issues nonstop. Roaches are consistent and were living in our fridge. Took June 3 weeks to get that fixed, but that didnt fix the problem of the actual ***** infiltration that permeated the premise. After explaining to them that their monthly bug treatments were doing nothing, they tried to put the blame on us by saying that we are not clean enough. They have yet to stop by our apartment to verify this claim. They are in direct violation of *** law by not treating the pest problem, but could care less. Next there was a sewage leak in the lobby that took FIVE days to clean up. Door alarms are always going off throughout the night because people buying drugs are coming in and out of the building using emergency exits. When you reach out to June, they tell you to call a number that isnt responsive, so no one ever turns them off. Youre better off fixing plumbing issues yourself unless you want to be without a shower for two weeks. Best of all, when our door lock was broken to our apartment, it took over a week for them to fix it meaning that anyone could just walk right in. Think any of this would justify terminating a lease early? No way. We cant even get a credit for one month worth of rent. Dont be fooled by any 5 star reviews, theyre incentives based. This company operates a ponzi scheme by selling individual leases per room, instead of the entire apartment itself, which is also illegal under *** law.June

1 starJune homes has predatory rental practices especially when you live there long term and treat you like you have no rights as a renter . They also reduced the rent of the apartment I lived in for new tenants by $1200 while I paid a way higher amount and when I wanted to switch to a larger room they told me I would have to pay the higher amount of $3200 when the website showed it was $2300. I saw anothers tenants apartment it was horrible with cracks throughout the wall because of water damage. Someone else told me the apartment they moved to had mold. They charge a fee for $109 for deliveries they do not make anymore, the cleaning person barely cleans. They also were discriminatory towards me and very biased and stereotyped me as a renter. Even though I lived with June homes for a year and a half it just gets worse the longer you stay because you see all their scrupulous practices. Especially in this economy this company exploited and took advantage when you are a new person to the city. They do not show you what the apartment looks like either before you move in. The building I lived in had no elevator and was on the sixth floor.I am also being overcharged utilities from December- January 8 I was out of town for two and a half weeks, my previous roommate had her husband and other people stay with her for close to two months. As I stated I would like a invoice that reflects the amount of $1500 And another one of $2000 which goes with the payment schedule you agreed upon since October 2023. You do know it is a huge red flag that the larger apartment is less money than the smaller apartment I live in??? And the fact I asked to move to the larger room and was told I would need to pay a different amount that was not listed on the public website is alarming. For you to exploit me and harass me as a tenant is beyond me. No one especially in this economy or climate should be treated this way.Someone from June asked me to take down my review on *******June

1 starJune Homes will steal your money. From start to finish, June Homes was a NIGHTMARE. After speaking extensively on my hesitation to be matched with someone dangerous, they matched me, a young female, with the creepiest, dead eyed, 65+ year old man ever. I then was transferred to a less desirable location but with a safe roommate. Why they couldnt disclose roommate before moving in is beyond me. Obviously, I incurred a movers fee for this. However, they incorrectly listed my room as the listed room was occupied by my roommate. I then had to pay an additional deposit for the correct room. Upon moving out, they refused to acknowledge (even with screenshots) the adjusted security deposit I paid and would only partially return the original deposit for the smaller room my roommate was occupying. They held onto funds to cover utilities. I then kept receiving emails every month regarding rent. I asked to be removed from these reminders as I was no longer a tenant. They told me to disregard the reminders as I had no outstanding bills. I then set their emails to go into a unique folder so I wouldnt be bothered by their inapplicable reminders. I then come back from vacation (this is 4 months after the lease ended) to find theyre threatening to report me for breach of contract for a utility payment. After speaking extensively to their accounting team and providing screenshots of their own confirmation I owed nothing, they demanded I pay an outstanding utility bill even after they partially withheld my security deposit for said utilities. Literally, any housing option would be better than the constant nightmare of dealing with June Homes. The WORST renting experience of my life. Never, ever, again.June

1 starAny "good" reviews here are fake or from the first tenants. They are BS!Run away, if you can. June Homes is quite scammy - I moved into my place...well, I attempted to move in, but there were no keys in the lockbox (turns out this happened to BOTH of the other roommates in the apartment)! Next, you try to call, and they don't have anyone staffed to answer your calls. After spending a night in a hotel because I couldn't get into my unit, I finally get into the place...it gets worse! I get into the front door and go into the room to find *another person's stuff in my room*. Oh, and did I mention that the room looked nothing like the picture? The staged photos are from before 20 other people lived in the room and trashed it. There's c*** on all of the walls, there's no mirror (it was in the picture), the room wasn't even clean, and the carpet was wet and very stained.Getting a shower was fun - the water pressure was low - that's normal, and I've had worse levels. But I have never had a bathtub with a cracked floor - that was wonderful! The place appears to have never seen a cleaning crew, but June says they use one. They try to do even worse things like hook up the ** to the light outlet so you only have ** when the light is on, they try to make you purchase things to make the apartment up to ***'s building code standards - it felt scammy at best.I also feel like they are paying tenants that live in these places to convince you to move out and break your lease so they can get extra money for when you move out early.Oh - and don't fall for the "There's another person interested in your room the month after you are to move out" scam. They realize that they are getting people from out of town, it seems like a great deal...then you move in and see the dump you've been offered.TLDR - don't use June Homes.June

All of our reviews are genuine from our tenants who have lived with June. We apologize for the inconvenience during the move-in, ******** was in a state of emergency due to flash flooding and our field team were not able to move safely through the city. We're happy to assist with a relocation to a home which is better suited.Review fromAllison M

1 starBEWARE of June Homes. I rent** a room in a June Homes apartment for 13 months. The apartment was nice and did match the pictures. However, I had many problems living there, none of which were handl** with any care, efficiency, or concern. Three times I was not notifi** of any new roommates moving in despite their policy that you can approve or deny roommates who apply to live with you. The first time this happen**, a person mov** in with a partner but we were not told it would be two people, only one. When I let June know and want** to verify this second person was actually on our lease not just someone claiming they were, they told me they are not requir** to give me that information but assur** me it would not happen again because only one couple per apartment was allow**. A month later, ANOTHER couple mov** in no notice. 6 people were now living in a 4 b**room apartment going against the policies stat** in the lease. Luckily, a few weeks later one of the couples ne**** to leave the apartment the issue resolv** itself but June Homes had NOTHING to do with it and offer** no solutions or apologies at any point. Each roommate who mov** in after me was NOT alert** to the fact that I was living there with an *** (my dog). They were all surpris** to see a dog when they mov** in and luckily for them, me, and June homes none of them were allergic, otherwise they would have ne**** to relocate. There was also the MAJOR issue of our insanely expensive gas bill of around $500-$600 every month. After bringing this up to June homes and not receiving any realy help we were forc** to investigate ourselves and we were able to confirm with con ** that the building had a shar** meter and June Homes was charging our unit the gas for the entire building. It took months to sort out, constant emails and phone calls to get anyone to address it and reimburse us.June

1 starDeceptive and predatory business practices. Stay away! I arrived and had issues immediately and it has been over two weeks and they have not been able to ***********. As a woman renting a room, I do not feel safe. The response times on any issue I have had have been super delayed, but then when they need your money they give you short timelines. Policies change after lease signing, need I go on...just don't use this service!June

1 starRenter beware. Rooms are not secure with individual locks. Room I rented was not painted or cleaned. Still had filthy outline on walls where previous tenants pictures hung. Communication with June homes is non existent. Takes them 4 days to respond to tickets with empty promises. I was told someone would be here today to clean and fix walls. No one showed up. Mildew on all vents. They want to hold you to the letter of their contradictory lease but you cannot expect the same from them. They do not take phone calls. You are at their mercy. Proceed with caution when dealing with this company. They have zero customer service. Zero ethical business practices.June

Hey there ******, after checking internally it seems that we shared proof (photos) of our actions regarding your mildew reports that show nothing visible. Furthermore, allow me to inform you that exterior locks on bedroom doors are illegal based on the city code and that is why they are not installed given that we may need to enter the room in case of an emergency. Our Help Line is available 24/7 to help with tenant questions and concerns while our policies and procedures are the same for all tenants. I could confirm from your in-app tickets that everything was resolved on our end and your concerns were addressed by our team every time you reached out to us. We will be more than happy to reply to any other question or concern you have if you decide to reach out to our email directly. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
