This company keeps trying to charge my card after membership was canceled. I signed up on 12/26/23 and changed my mind after seeing the fees that they charge for their services. I canceled without using their service on 12/29/2023. I received an email saying that they had high volume of request and could not complete my request at the time. On 12/30/2023 I received an email from ******** saying sorry to see you go but still didn't cancel my subscription. They tried to take money out my account but my card was locked. I sent another email on 01/06/2024 asking them to cancel again. I received nothing but generic emails from ********, **********. This company should be investigated and closed because their business practice is not right. Every month they are trying to charge me a fee that I do not owe.Business Response

They led me to believe they would pay my phone bill for me and I would pay them back in 4 payments. Well they took the full bill amount of $200 out of my account and when I asked about it, they said I didn't qualify for their program. So I asked why did they take the funds from me and ******** returned the $200 back to them on 1/25/24. I have sent messages and a screenshot of my ******* account still showing due for $200. No proof of ID, ssn, picture of myself or card was needed to sign up for the program but they are now saying they can't refund me without it. I asked over a week ago why it was needed for the refund when it wasnt needed to withdraw funds and I have gotten no response. But they keep sending me advertisements. It has been over a month and I have diligently tried to make contact with this company to resolve an apparent lock on my account. There was a lock placed before and was resolved in three business days. I was never informed of why but the customer service hero wanted to verify my identity. A week later I went to my app to make a payment and realized my account was locked again. This prevents any activity even payments. I sent an email with my license and a photo as previously requested to all of my contacts at deferit sure this was an error that would soon be fixed. To date, I have sent numerous emails, created multiple help tickers and tried to reach out by phone. All of my emails are being ignored and my help tickets are being read and closed without assistance. Because of this negligence, my account is now 31 days past due for a payment I have been trying to settle. The company is deliberately not fixing the issue preventing me from satisfy my account despite my exhausting all efforts and resources available to me. This company reports to the 3 major credit bureaus and reporting delinquencies that are intentionally caused by the company is a fraudulent misrepresentation. I have tried to settle my outstanding payments and can not due to the freeze on my account. It is my hope to settle any balances with this company and sever ties never using them again. There is no address to make payments and no legitimate number to speak to someone so help tickets and emails have been my only option and are being ignored intentionally despite the commenting able to verify my account or respond with what is needed so that I can make payments.Customer Answer

I download the app I was under the intention if I paid the $14.99 I was able to use the paying for to pay bills. I started a booking payment with this company. I got behind on payments Ave wanted to get caught up. So on January 19th I signed up for their website and paid the monthly fee of $14.99. They initially said I was approved for $500 but then only provided me a $200 balance. I attempted to have them pay my car insurance bill, which is $261, but it was only after submitting the bill that they changed my balance to $200. Then during submitting the bill I approved to pay $70 which includes the security deposit for the installment payment. Money doesn't immediately come out. After the bill "proccesses" they ask for a firsr payment of $170.00 which is asinine. If I had that much I would pay my car insurance myself. And to completely change up the deal after it "processed" felt like a joke to **** canceled my account ASAP. I want my $14.99 payment refunded ASAP or else I'm disputed the charges. Checking my credit report Ive noticed an unfamiliar account that is reporting late. I have never used this service! I have never signed up for this service! I am requesting this account be removed from my credit report. Immediately! There is an alert on my file that all accounts call and verify for my identify which this company has never done. The OPTION was LOCKED. The only option available for immediate use was something called "Build your credit" I don't need or want this service that only reports if you pay your bill. I wanted the 4 payment service that was advertised to me that I signed up for but it was locked and unavailable.SECONDLY, due to the false advertisement, I immediately canceled my membership. As a result, they immediately removed my access to utilizing the account for any services for the month of ******** I am fine with that b/c they are not offering the service I paid for, HOWEVER, Deferit did not refund the fee of $14.99 I paid for ********BUSINESS ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE:No attempt by Deferit to resolve the matter, mainly automated replies about how busy they are right now. I sent this business at least 3 different emails via their website, and the one time a **************** representative responded, she didn't address the issue about my refund. She sent an email mainly discussing their service.
