bought 3 concert tickets on SeatGeek, returned them to buy 4 to sit with a friend. Got $396 promo code but forgot to use it. Used it for a $170 ticket later but SeatGeek took the whole amount of $396. No one told me one-time use code. AND SeatGeek has no quality customer support!Business Response

Hi *****,
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Promo code refunds are typically single use although we do understand that depending on the amount refunded, customers may not be able to use it all on a single purchase. In this case, we do allow for a one time courtesy promo replenishment in which the remaining balance can be added back to the customer's account to use on another singular purchase. Once used after replenishment occurs, the promo cannot be added back as we do want customers to retain the full value of their refunds on purchases.
We saw in your initial correspondence to our team that it was advised your promo could not be added back and we do apologize sincerely for the miscommunication. Your promo refund for the remaining balance of $226 has been added back to your account as of 03/22/23. It will remain active on your account for 12 months until used at which it will then expire and no longer be eligible for use. As an additional courtesy for the inconvenience caused, we have also applied an additional $20 credit to your account that can be used on an additional eligible purchase. The same rules apply as the original SWAPS credit you received.
We consider this matter resolved. If you have any further questions, please reach out to us at ****************************** We will be glad to assist.
Best Wishes,

Prices were best on the market as it acts under the guise of order matching. However it is another facade in the ticket resale market. I've found the optimal purchase time, in terms of best price to the consumer, to be roughly 2 to 6 hours prior to the event.Stubhub will conveniently not have your tickets delivered so you have to spend 2 to 4 hours on the phone with customer service. These guys hustle is the slow delivery. Tickets weren't available until 1 minute after the start of the event. I was able to transfer 4 of 5 tickets to my friends who I was meeting. When I tried to get my ticket (I arrived at halftime). It was 404 Error. ********** was conveniently closed. MSG is run by a dilettante son.So I got robbed and the response was. It's your fault. They just don't want the tickets back on the market. It's a pathetically obviously rigged system to s**** the consumer but it continues to petsist.Wish ********************* had the juice to take their heads like the samurai he is. *******'s rip off is more predictable. These geeks not worth the ** they peddle.Business Response

I bought 4 concert tickets on March 17th 2023 on the website SeatGeek. They are for an event 5 months away. Order number: *********** Before you try to purchase the event and search on ****** even, SeatGeek plaster this "Returnable guarantee" everywhere. I spent ******* dollars for these tickets thinking it was safe, "returnable". After 20 hours plans changed I bought different tickets and want to refund the 4 I bought less than a day ago. I follow all the refund procedure, and at the bottom of the rows of steps, it says "you will receive SeatGeek promo code". so "returnable" means only returnable at SeatGeek. So SeatGeek is saying: "we are making **** dollars off of you one way or another way". I spent a lot of time with support and got the same answer. They provided me an alternative way: resell tickets on SeatGeek. This means: 1. SeatGeek makes money off of the transaction therefore I have to list the prices to be higher to make my money back. 2. there no guarantee I can resell them, and I suffer the stress and I bear the risk. 3. even if I do make a sale I need to pay taxes on it, because SeatGeek sure won't. 4. If I chose to get credit back, I need to find ways to spend exactly ****.4, other wise I either lose money or SeatGeek make more money: Win Win for SeatGeek. This is misleading and predatory business practice. They make you believe your purchase is safe but once you buy their service, your money is theirs. I demand a full refund and an apology from them.Business Response

Hi ******,
When purchasing a ticket via SeatGeek, if it is ***** Eligible, the page will read "Returnable until (date and time that is 72 hours prior to event.)" If you click on the question mark pertaining to this, it will read: "Return your tickets for no cost anytime up to 72 hours before your event. No questions asked. Return these tickets anytime up to 72 hours before the event starts and we'll give you a one time use promo code for the full amount of your order to use on a future event on SeatGeek. No added fee. No questions asked."
After a ***** eligible ticket is purchased: As soon as the return option is clicked, it says "Return your tickets for credit to use on a future purchase."
In both purchasing and after purchase, the ***** terms of service are available. If a customer would like to recoup their money back, we always advise resell as an option. We do find our ***** program as a convenient program for customers. SeatGeeks Swaps program is uniquely made for you to return your tickets in exchange for a Promo Credit, we wont be able to provide a cash refund for your order. While your tickets may not arrive until closer to the event, we do advise to resell on another ticketing platform- as many allow re-sell without having received your tickets, yet.
We consider this matter resolved. However, if you have any further questions, please reach out to us at ***************************** . We will be glad to assist.

Transaction date is today, March 20th,2023.I went online to purchase 2 tickets to the Edmonton Oilers Game on March 22nd, 2023. The seats shown stated they were $40 and for 2 of them plus the fees the total would be $118.26.When I went to check my Bank account because I used **** Debit, it showed and amount of $166.89 tendered.I had to dig very deep and by absolute luck I saw in my order status that this was for $118.29 USD.It was very deceitful that they not explain that this is in USD. I reached out to complain and I believe got a lady named ****** who told me all sales are final and they could not reimburse me the difference.I think that is a very deceitful way to treat people and not being honest upfront is very dishonest. All I wanted was the difference between what I was quotes vs what I was charged.Business Response

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to review and acknowledge your concerns as our fans experiences are of utmost importance to us. Ive read through this matter and will address your questions and concerns as they relate to SeatGeeks policies.
We feel itd be beneficial to provide an explanation of how the secondary ticketing marketplace operates as SeatGeek does not own or generate many tickets that are listed for resale. Rather, when one purchases tickets, they are buying from a third party. Because our customers are purchasing tickets that are owned and listed by individual resellers, our policies are in place to protect both the buyer and seller while still remaining fair to both parties.
When using SeatGeek, both buyers and sellers are agreeing to the Terms of Use. Which can be found here ************************************. In addition, as part of our Terms of Use, SeatGeek does offer our Buyers Guarantee, found here **********************************************
With regard to our customers complaint, we have a strict all sales final policy and advised resell as an option to recoup funds. As this was the customers second purchase they were aware that purchases were in US dollars. Were unable to refund this order.
We consider this matter resolved. Please reach out at ***************************** with any further questions.

I attempted to purchase tickets from SeatGeek on December 14, 2022. I selected tickets and was set to purchase them. After the purchase, the seller provides a link to TicketMaster in order to transfer the tickets. TicketMaster has a specific URL. Scammers are notorious for creating similar, but different URLs in order to execute their scams. Not only did I inspect the **** but I called TicketMaster to confirm whether the link provided was legitimate before clicking on it. When I spoke to a representative, they confirmed that what I received was NOT a TicketMaster link. I notified SeatGeek that the link was fake, and that I had confirmed so. I provided them multiple emails and screenshots of the fake link, but they kept insisting I click the link to see if the tickets would transfer successfully. Under no circumstances would they cancel the transaction. They said all sales were final. However I was never offered the product I was attempting to pay for. I was only offered a fake link! I am seeking reimbursement for the tickets I NEVER received. I requested a cancellation IMMEDIATELY upon receiving the fake link, so there was no cost to anybody, no lost sale (as there was never a real product offered), for anyone to incur. They simply needed to protect their customer. I am seeking a full refund of $294.60. All communication from TicketMaster comes from ****************** NOT ***********************. The image below shows the first indication this was a fake. The response I received was "I see there is an option to accept the tickets, can you click the link?" NO! This is a fake link, and SeatGeek repeatedly attempted to get me to click it. Not only were they unhelpful, but they tried to encourage me to click a suspicious link! They cannot be trusted to protect their customers!Business Response

Hi ****,
Once a purchase is made on SeatGeek it is unable to be canceled. Tickets sold on SeatGeek are sold by licensed ticket brokers that are fully vetted. If the ticket link did not provide the tickets to you, you would have been protected by our SeatGeek Buyer Guarantee. You can read more about the Buyer Guarantee here: **********************************************. However, since the tickets were delivered to you and they were never accepted or attempted to be accepted this purchase is considered all sales final and no refund is available.
Should you have any further questions, please feel free to email ***************************** and we would be happy to help.

On 3/16 at 10:14 p.m., I purchased 2 tickets to the **** Men's Bball tournament Round 1 Session 1 in ********. My order number is: ***********. The tickets were for Section 303, Row B and cost $40 per ticket. With service charges, I paid $117.64. I received an e-mail confirmation and another e-mail that included: Because of a security policy at ****************, your tickets must be delivered to you outside the SeatGeek app. The seller of your tickets just let us know that they have transferred your tickets to you. You should now receive an email with a link to accept your tickets. To access your tickets, simply follow the instructions in that email.I never received the subsequent e-mail from the seller. Because the games were scheduled for the following day, beginning at noon, I was concerned that I did not receive the e-mail with the link for our tickets right away, and I began a conversation with the chat feature-- my only way of reaching anyone at the company-- at 11:20 p.m., I spoke with "******." That chat included the following: (8:16:29 PM) **********************************: Okay. I appreciate your help. If you can't reach the seller, will I be reimbursed for the tickets?(8:18:03 PM) ****** : I assure with our buyers guarantee.I still did not receive an e-mail from the seller, and I followed up with another chat, this time with "****," beginning at 12:06 a.m. on 3/17. **** guided me through checking Ticketmaster, but the tickets were not there. As part of the conversation, **** stated:(9:01:24 PM) **** : I appreciate your patience, I have sent an urgent request for retransfer, I will keep an eye on your order through the night, your tickets are safe, the seller sent them but for some reason not hitting your email address The tickets never arrived. At 7:27 a.m. on 3/17, I requested a refund and told my plan to get other tickets (Section 304, Row B). I chatted with "****" at 7:57 p.m. on 3/17. He said my request would be processed in 48 hours. No refund yet.Customer Answer

I reached out to SeatGeek customer service on 17 March 2023 regarding an accidental purchase. Its very suspicious that you cannot contact them via phone. I reached out via their chat system, and was told that they could not assist me because everything is non refundable? I called IMMEDIATELY after it was booked. Even in the case of accidental booking, its non refundable? I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. That is criminal. There is no way to talk to anyone at this company. Order number ***********. The rep I chatted with was named *****************************. Didnt help me at all. This company is SUPER shady. I even have tickets that I purchased last week and they STILL havent given me my tickets. Ive been reading stories of people who have waited until the day of the event and they still did not receive their tickets.Business Response
Date: 03/28/2023
Hi there,
It looks like there were 2 authorized orders placed on your account about 12 hours apart, so this was not a SeatGeek error.
Primary and secondary ticket markets are complex, and most ticket orders cant be canceled or refunded once theyve been submitted to ensure the validity of the tickets youre purchasing. We also have a general policy that all sales are final and our tickets are non-refundable, which the agent was correct in advising you. You do have the option to resell your tickets on a secondary marketplace site in order to recoup your money back.
We consider this matter resolved. However, if you have any further questions, please reach out to us at ****************************** We will be glad to assist.
