1 star****Caution if booking directly - Didn't honor contracted rate****
We had a direct contract with SGT, and they called the week of delivery and wanted to change the rate by upwards of $300, even though we had a signed contract and guaranteed price...at least that's what they told us when wanting us to sign the contract. I explained to the rep that called that we had a guaranteed rate, which is why we signed directly with them. No concern and no interest in honoring their commitment and guarantee. Now we are left searching for alternative options, which will no doubt lead to delay in delivery of our vehicle. They indicate on their website that customer service is their top priority. Apparently that's only if it's convenient for them. Caution if booking directly with them.SGT Auto Transport Corp.

1 starFirst, I called SGT back on 3/3/23 to get a quote for their service and to get the details on how the transport of two vehicles would work. I was given a quote for our cross country move but since we had not secured a destination address yet to call closer to our move date to sure things up. The plan was to move mid-may. which is what I told the gentleman that provided the quote. So sometime within the first week of April I was contacted by another rep who was trying to see if we had done the move yet and if we still needed their services I explain we had not and repeated that it wouldn’t be until Mid-May as i previously discussed with the initial rep and who was supposed to not the quote. FYI the quote that was provided stated May 15th as the shipped date. So not sure why the new rep didn’t see that as i provided the quote number. He stated he could save us some money if we were ready to lock in today and I asked for details of how that would work and what was needed to do that. He stated I just need an address you can change it later. So I provided an address for one of the houses we had applied for to rent and he proceeded to lower our cost by $300 dollars. I called back May 9th with the final address and was told there would be a three day window for pickup from May15-17 so we booked our flights for May 17th. I was also told I would get confirmation of our shipping company 5 days before the first scheduled day of possible pick up. I did not so I called and they seemed annoyed that I was asking for whom would be shipping our two cars and that I expected them to do what was explained. I was then told no there is no way to provide such info this far in advance but they would call me by the 14th with the transporter name and number which i mentioned was a Sunday and I was assured they would be working on Sunday. Never got a call so on 5/16 I got a call from them with the info about the transporter. They pickup the next day.A. N.

They called and scheduled the pickup for the next day and our vehicle sat for a week on their property. I know because I hid an ***** ****** in the vehicle so I could track the movement and after a week of sitting I my husband called and asked what was going on they lied and told him the vehicles were on the road and should be at our location by 5/26. They sat another full day before they started to move. I was then contacted by dispatch on 5/28 and told that the driver was in Atlanta but was vehicle problems and may need us to meet him there to pick up our vehicles if he couldn’t get it fixed. I called him a liar and told him I have a GPS tracking device and he is in NC not GA and has been sitting at the motel since yesterday. He stammered over his words and said let me call him and confirm. He did and retracted his story and reduced his fee by $70. Then I called the driver and we ended up meeting him at a carmax because he had cars to drop there which was the real reason he couldn’t deliver to us on time and at our location. I don’t blame the driver he was just doing what was told. We actually tipped him the $70 the company gave us off the shipping cost. But I do blame both SGT and HU Trans LLCSGT Auto Transport Corp.

1 starAnother dissatisfied customer.
I contracted with SGT a month prior to the date for a Guaranteed Pickup at a higher price point than standard. I followed up with them a couple of days before the contracted pickup date and they assured me that the car would be picked up. Didn't happen!! I chatted with them about next steps and they agreed that the price should be adjusted if/when they finally pick up the car. The day after the guaranteed deadline they called and told me that they now had a transport vehicle available but I would have to pay an additional $400 to get my car picked up. It felt like extortion as I had no other options and I was told that I had to agree immediately or the transport would no longer be available. I wrote to customer service and asked them to do the right thing and pay me the $400 dollars differential for what they admitted was their fault in missing the committed deadline. Their answer was a very short "NO".
They "talk" customer service but they do not stand by their commitments and can't be relied on to fix any difficulties. Choose another transport company .SGT Auto Transport Corp.

3 starsSGT changed the quoted price last minute. California to Maryland was quoted for $1679 and changed to $2200. This company is playing with customers. I think this is price scamming tactics. I talked to two different people, both gave me different quotes. I do not trust this company and this company is more expensive than othe good five stars companies.SGT Auto Transport Corp.

1 starWe made plans way in advance for SGT to transport our car from Jacksonville to Maine.. given a 3 day window for them to pick up our car. Despite numerous calls , they failed! Did not transport our car. We had plane tx and we had to leave with no place to stay. Soooo upset and very frustrated. We got in the car and now are driving ourselves back to Maine! 1 starThey say they don't just ship cars, they create experiences. If horrible experiences count then that's what they do! I trusted the reviews they post on their website. Most likely, they are manipulating with sophisticated software to only show the positive reviews. There is no way to get to the bad ones. My belief is the reviews and scores aren't what they say anyway. But here is my review anyway. Things they promote on their website are not true. 24 hour access isn't real. I called for hours and no one answered or called me back. When they did answer, they didn't know what was going on. They told me my car was in Missouri when it was in Michigan. They asked how I knew that and I said my ** **** was tracking. They said the drivers don't like to be tracked and they told the driver and he turned off my ** ****. Wow! How could they do that. That is so shady!!! Every time I asked a question, they had a different answer. I asked for a supervisor to call me and they never did. The told me what hours my car would arrive but that changed every hour. After a seven hour delay of just having to sit and wait, it finally arrived. I tried to talk to a supervisor after this happened and they said they would call me back. Never called. Finally, a non-supervisor called me back and told me the only thing that mattered was the car was there on time. He didn't care about any of the other issues like (no phone support, turning off my ******, delays in delivery times, and just poor service. They offered me a $50 gift card for my trouble. Save yourself the trouble. I would not use this company!!!!SGT Auto Transport Corp.

1 starWe gave them 3 weeks to prepare to move our car but could not get a commitment on a pick up day as the time came for departure. We had to make a last minute change to a different carrier. 5 starsI called quite a few companies and my experience with them once I signed was to never hear from them again. Called SGT and was quoted a price that did not change from pick to delivery. What was quoted, was what I paid. Any and all questions were answered with patience and honesty and I called a few times. I had a small window before I flew out of state and the day they said it would be picked up was made even better with a call for pick up a day earlier, which I didn’t mind. It was piece of mind for me that it was on its way from NY to TX. Keeping them in my contacts should I find need for another transport!SGT Auto Transport Corp.
