They posted this interview across their Facebook and Instagram platforms and stimulated the sales of my book through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.   I can't compete with the long written authors in these reviews. There is only certain truths to bring to the party. ***************** is a professional in her trade. She mentored me through the entire process, of which many I was unfamiliar. At the beginning I was a little cocky, thinking what could be so difficult? ***** woke me to the various phases of getting to the end. This lady nurtured me to understand her contribution. Give her 5stars on the forehead and let her wear it daily on the job for her peers to acknowledge her expertise. She's a winner.

  I am a self-published author of a historical novel that was well-received and reviewed but lacking in exposure. Therefore, I was surprised to receive a representation offer from Citi of Books. The call came at an inopportune time when I was busy with another matter, and we had just received a scam call over our house line. The subsequent caller was *************************, and I assumed that he, too, was just another scam caller. In addition, I am hard of hearing, and the phone isnt exactly HiFi. Bottom line, it was an unpleasant conversation directed at him. Yet he persisted, and we finally agreed to continue our contact by email. In the interim, I researched the credibility of Citi of Books both online and on the *** **** and decided to go ahead with the offer. After that, we communicated flawlessly by email.The following contacts went extremely well. I found ************** a skillful and considerate representative of the firm, along with ********************* who took over the particulars of the project. She is supremely thorough, knowledgeable, and professional, while skillfully navigating the countless elements of the production process, from the very start to the last detail and announcement that the novel has been launched. Her attention to detail is uncanny. She manages the process without offending the authors, which calls for tact and excellent negotiating skills. To summarize, the process was flawless after the unfortunate initial phone call, thanks to her and the production crew.   I think they run an unethical business. They called me after a searching my last name since they also called my brother and left a message with him about my book. I made the mistake of calling them back and falling for their plan that I had a ********* Interview on People of Distinction. I searched and found that such a program does exist, but I believe now that all I was paying for was a chance to get an interview. I paid the initial installment and before the ink was dry on the contract and the book information document they called again. This time it was a hard sale for turning my book into a movie. The voice mail stated that a production company called them and showed an interest. When I called back, the truth was a chance to submit my book to movie production companies for a mere charge of just over $4000.00. I told them i did not have that kind of money and asked how any company would be interested in a book that has only ***** copies in circulation. I had to get ***** with the salesperson and ended the call. Now realizing what they were going to do I wrote a letter the next day requesting they end my contract and refund any monies not yet spent. They tried to convince me over the next two days to stay on, so I wrote another letter telling them to cancel the contract and asked for a refund. Well surprise, surprise, they had their finance department call me back and stated that since I had filled out the book information document, whether complete or not, there would be no refund. It had been only five days since I completed that document and two of those five days were Saturday and Sunday. So, I seriously doubt that they spent the entire amount by then considering that the contract stated that nothing would be done for the interview until all monies were received; the final payment would have been in October. If you deal with this company, be very careful what you sign and what they say they are going to do for you.
