We engaged Hilltop after a bad experience with another 'reputable' company. Jim listened, asked thoughtful questions, and requested pictures, drawings, etc., of what we had in mind for a final design. Jim produced a beautiful architectural drawing, which was exactly what we were looking for. This was a major project, especially the demolition phase, to remove most of the existing landscape. As with most large projects, they ran into some unforeseen issues, but as with the entire project, they always had the, "We've got this," approach. Nothing seemed to phase them! Jose (Crew Leader) and his crews were always upbeat, kind, thoughtful, and thorough. Jose was on-site everyday monitoring the progress, and when he wasn't the crews knew exactly what needed to be done. We're absolutely thrilled with the final product! Our top reason for this five star review: -Consistent communication from Jim, the owner (routinely visited the site and met with us on a regular basis) and Jose the Crew Leader. -Quality. They never cut corners, were meticulous, and really cared about the quality of their work. -Value. We certainly could have found a less expensive company, but you get what you pay for. Do we feel we got our money's worth? Yes, and more! -Compassion- It may be an odd thing to look for in a landscape company, but it mattered to us. Jim and Jose always addressed any concerns we had. They listened, took the time to explain things we didn't understand, and always wanted to ensure we were happy with the process. That goes (more importantly) for the crews as well. They seemed very well cared for, from safety to resources, breaks and time off. The long tenure of many of the employees speaks volumes. If you're looking for an extremely reputable (we heard from several other contractors on our home remodel that Hilltop is the best in town), reliable, honest, thorough, communicative, engaging, and fun company to partner with, Hilltop is it! Very happy campers!
