I now got lied to by this company. I talked to ***** the customer ********************** rep and told her I would not check in because of dealing with the faulty kiosk. She said she would send an email telling the staff that I would not be using the kiosk or checking in. They said they did not get the email. Then when I called customer ********************** back they disconnected me instead of getting me to their supervisor. I thought it would be to deal with the supervisor. When I called back I was in my car and the person got mad cause I was yelling do to the being on the car speaker. When I called back again the person refused to deal with me. So now I am extremely upset with a system that gives the patient no value and has no way of dealing with situation except for their all powerful kiosk. I should be paid for my time and being lied to.Initial Complaint

Quest performed a lab test in error (5/19/2022). As soon as I received results I emailed Quest. After no response I called and spoke with customer ********************** to let them know the wrong test was performed. Since then I have spoken to supervisors on multiple occasions, all telling me they will fix the issue, and to disregard the bill. The last ********** received I spoke to a supervisor who told me the bill was in error, and my account showed ******************** responsibility of $0. I just received a bill from collections. Despite multiple contacts with supervisors in the last year, all stating I was not responsible for the bill, they still reported my account. This needs to be removed from collections, and the charge needs to actually be removed from my Quest account, as I have been told on numerous occasions. Account number can be provided if **************************.Initial Complaint

I have been working with this company to pay off a bill from previous labs I had done. I had set up a payment plant to ensure that my payments were being made and the company was obtaining their money. I had about $245 remaining on my balance and it was a few days before my monthly payment was to come out for quest diagnostics so I had went through a loan company to obtain $245 so it was an easier monthly payment on my check book than what quest diagnostics was having me pay. I PAID them the remainder balance due on April 23rd and it was confirmed by my loan company that Quest diagnostics DID take the money from them on April 25th. Come to find out that a couple days later quest diagnostics took out my monthly payment though I already paid the balance in full. I called customer support and was told I havent made a payment on my account which was a lie and I asked where the money went that I paid, just to be told I dont know, but you still have a balance. I had emailed over proof that my account on my end for ********************** showed ZERO and an email from my loan company advising quest diagnostics DID in fact take the money. This representative told me that money clears in 24 hours, therefore the $245 should have showed way before my account was charged again for another monthly fee that I didnt need to pay at that point. He was really no help with trying to look into any other areas to where there could have been a mixup but seemed like I was being rushed off the phone and kept being repeatedly told that I have a balance and havent paid any money. Im very upset that no one can seem to figure out where the money I paid went and if this is not resolved then Im stuck paying a loan company ONTOP on paying the remaining due to quest diagnostics though it was already paid.Initial Complaint

I had some labs drawn on 08/03/2022 at my PCP's ******, and they were sent to Quest Diagnostics. Quest billed the claim incorrectly through my ******** Blue Advantage plan, by bundling codes instead of submitting them separately. ******** won't pay the bundled codes submitted, but will pay when they are submitted separately (~$150).Quest refuses to make the change and resubmit, so it hasn't been paid, even though I have contacted my ******** plan and Quest numerous times, and each time I call my plan, they call Quest. My plan even has one person dedicated to resolving this problem, but it is not getting resolved. Since it still isn't paid, Quest sent my account to a collection agency. By doing this, it has completely ruined my perfect credit rating.Quest still won't change the way they bill even though my plan has been in contact with them for several months, and I am stuck in between. Note that the same tests were run through my doctor's ****** and were paid by the plan without any issues. The plan will pay for these tests, and I am 100% covered, if Quest will simply submit them correctly for payment. I shouldn't be the scapegoat because Quest can't get their billing straightened out! PLEASE HELP!!!Initial Complaint

I live in ****** and *******. I have medical providers in both states and ironically, I am also a medical provider. My ******* medical provider ordered labs for me which I had done in the state of ******. I have Premera BCBS through my ******* employer and verified on the website, phone app, and via BCBS employees that Quest Diagnostics on Laurel ****** is in network. I went on 3/4/23 for my labs and insurance was billed "out of network" by Quest for the reason that my provider lives in *******. Well, I did not get labs drawn in *******. I got my labs drawn in ******- which is the only thing that matters: Is where I physically went to to get the labs done. BCBS has requested that they correct the claims and Quest Diagnostics did not do so and resubmitted the same claims. It is escalated with BCBS at this point- they have claims management team working on this to get a resolution. At this point, it is fraudulent billing. I have submitted complaints to the Attorney Generals of both ********** (where their billing department is) and ****** (hand walked in the ****** complaint). They billed over $1600 that I am "responsible" for when insurance adjustment would only give them $100ish. Why adjust billing when you can scam someone out of $1600 instead of the insurance contracted rate of $100ish.I am seeking a resolution ASAP. This needs to be billed correctly and immediately sent back to Premera BCBS per their request.Initial Complaint

For the second time in a decade Quest Diagnostics has sent a charge I was never informed of to collections claiming that they sent it to a previous (3 year old) address. This is despite having my phone number, email address, and updated insurance information (on a billing form that provided my current address). This is predatory practices that could negatively impact my ability to live, purchase a home and more. This is disrespectful and as soon at I was informed of the bill today through text by the collector I investigated saw that it was real and paid it through quest immediately. Also guess where they got my number to text from, you got it, quest. This is unacceptable and I will no longer tolerate this. I see that there are enough people on here with the same issue. if this continues I will file a class action.Initial Complaint

I had an appointment at Quest Diagnostics for 3:20pm on Friday, 4/21/23. I missed the appointment by a few minutes and punch in on the kiosk which advised me I missed the appointment so it gave me the option to schedule a new appointment or wait. I chose to wait since it was 3:35. I sat down a minute later (before 3:40) and a tech. came out and said we are not taking any more walk ins. I continued to sit there. Another tech came out a second later and said we are not taking anyone else for walk ins. Once gentleman that was waiting before me got up and tried to reschedule at the kiosk. Another tech came out and said we are not taking anyone else for walkins. The gentleman said I am trying to reschedule and she told him you can do that online or call this phone number. She said you can't come tomorrow unless you have an appointment. He left. I continued to wait and by 3:40 everyone that had an appointment was seen and left the building by 3:43. I continued to wait and a tech said did you have an apt I said I did I missed it and I am waiting for my ride. I finally walked out to meet my ride at 3:55. At 3:43 the only person in the waiting room was me and there were no patience in the building other than me. I do not understand why at 3:35 they were not seeing any walkins. All patience were out of the building by 3:43 you close at 4pm. Why was I not able to be seen if you have over 15 minutes until you close at 4. I now have wasted time off of work and paid for an uber two ways for nothing. I now have to try get an uber to Bloomfield which is over 20 minutes from my home to an appointment tomorrow. I would like a call back about this issue. How this will be addressed with the staff.Initial Complaint

Quest diagnostics charged me on my credit card without consent. I called to inquire about it and the representative was very rude and said all you can do it file a complaint with the lab. Had to call my bank to dispute the charges. You cannot legally charge someones credit card without written permission with a payment plan agreement. You can bill them but you cant just charge their card.
