1 starCustomer service department doesn't actually do what they agree to in regards to making changes in your account or honoring the prices they agreed to then after your deposit is charged they will then charge a higher amount of money that was never agreed to or authorized the few days following. Getting a supervisor assistant manager or manager in the billing department was almost impossible until 50+ calls later only to have 1 of the only 2 assistant managers named Ashley also make the correct changes, notes and price to my account nor give correct information in regards to extension drop offs and paying the balance at that time so you have loss prevention calling you to tell you to drop off the vehicle on a date that wasn't agreed to or realistic in this matter without repercussions.Avis Rent A Car

We are sorry to hear that the charges displayed on your final bill did not meet your expectations. Rentals are billed based on the information provided in the original reservation or at the time of pick up. Use that differs from the rental agreement contract can be subject to additional charges and penalties per our terms and conditions of use. If our Loss Prevention department deems it necessary to recover a vehicle that has not been returned by the agreed upon time, recovery expenses will also be issued to the renter.
Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your contacting us.

1 starThis is specific to the Avis on *** ***** ***** ** in Cincinnati. I accidentally left a large, heavy duty plastic bin in the back when I returned the car. When I realized this 2 days later, I called, and the girl that checked the car back in, said that it when they cleaned out the car, they thought it was trash and threw it away. This was not a bag full of fast food wrapping, it was a large bin, with a lid, and a label on the side. There is no way someone could mistake that for "trash". Avis has a Lost and Found where things that are found in the cars are supposed to go. But don't count on that. I am 100% responsible for forgetting the bin, but I would have thought that they could have kept it incase someone called about it. I even checked all of the dumpsters myself. I will NEVER rent from Avis again. Absolute non-existent customer service!!!!Avis Rent A Car

We are sorry to hear you misplaced your belongings. Regretfully, as many of our locations do not have the storage space for recovered items, they do not participate in our lost and found website nor are they able to hold items found in vehicles and may discard them.
While we do not hold liability for items that are lost in our vehicles, we are sorry for any troubles or inconveniences this might cause. We do advise contacting your insurance provider to determine whether you are covered for this loss.

1 starIt’s hard to describe how utterly bewildered I am by the customer service I received from this company. Completely and totally incompetent, rude, scam artists. This company needs to be investigated and shutdown. Never in my life have I experienced this level of disappointment with a company. 1 starAbsolutely horrific company with ZERO appreciation for customers.
They gave me a electric car which didnt work then I had to jump thru hoops to get it towed while they sent me threatening messages telling me I didnt return the car,even they picked it up.
Then they charged my credit card nearly 1000$ for a 140$ rental.
They are the biggest disgrace out there.Avis Rent A Car

From review of your rental history, we were able to verify that while there was a delay in the closure of your rental regarding the towing recovery, your rental was billed $60.21 based on your use. This is reflected on the receipt information on Avis.com under the Reservations menu by entering your last name and rental agreement number.

1 star0 stars for Avis. Reserved a rental car from Priceline. Will not be able to use the car so tried to cancel. Priceline said not able to help me per the policy. It’s two weeks before my trip so it’s not like it’s last minute. I asked if this was Priceline or Avis policies he said both. I called Avis and all I got was sorry you went through a third party so we can’t help you. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I think they are being unbelievable. 1 starTurned the car in on Nov 18 23. After several phone conversation asking for someone to check the car in. Then receiving nasty certified letters, I guess so.eone finally decided to put there cell phone down and check the car in 13 days after it was returned. This whole process is very discouraging as a customer and helps push your customers to other providers. It would be nice to at least get an apology instead of "oh this is a standard letter" Your company really needs to get a better customer service program and have the employees do a daily check in not 13 days later.Avis Rent A Car

5 starsThis location was the shining star in a day of dealing with Avis rent a car.
Originally made a reservation for the Raleigh mall location and not only did they not have a car they were totally dismissive and rude. Called customer service and it took 6 different calls to find someone that was helpful.
I went to the Durham location and was met with smiles, help, knowledge and a car. 5 stars for the location and 2 stars for Avis in general.Avis Rent A Car

We have reviewed your rental and notes from your case. By way of explanation, our customers are required to return the vehicle they rent in the condition it was received. The Maintenance Manager determined that special cleaning was needed to get the animal hair out of the car you rented. As many of our customers are allergic to animal hair, it is imperative that we insure the safety of the next renter. Based upon our investigation, we find the cleaning fee to be correctly billed.

1 star**** charged me $450 for a cleaning fee on a rental car dropped off at ********************************************* on 11/08/23. Both myself and an **** representative examined the car upon it's drop off, it was in good condition both interior and exterior, and the representative told me "everything looks good" before I left. If they had any concerns, they should have let me know before I left, but they told me all was well, and I did not observe anything which required extensive cleaning. This charge was at best mistake and at worst deceptive or fraudulent, and I will avoid **** in the future. I would like **** to review this and have this charge reversed.Avis Rent A Car
