    Impossible to get a straight answer. It is truly difficult to get a response via email. They almost never provide assistant. Mostly instructing you to call. Then when you call you are connected with a service agent who generally does a good job reading the information from your account, but does not handle questions well, transferring you to someone else. I am not to willing to have hour long conversations that end in no answer. I continue to request them to provide lender information, they refuse to provide it. There answering method via email is usually a copy and pasted response. I am still struggling to get them to answer anything after weeks of questions.

    I have been emailing and calling for 14 days. This exact response that has been copied and pasted in my emails looking for responses. When I have called I have been left on the phone for over an hour. I have emailed roughly 10 times looking for answers.

    Even their comment here does not provide me with any answers... Like I said very difficult to work with and rarely provide assistance.

    First Mark finally issued an response after 17 days. There response did not address the issue brought to the attention of the company, instead they address a nonconcern which I had stated to them numerous times, I had stated over several conversation this was not the information I needed. It fell on deaf ears.

    They also continue to not provide me with lender contact information. It would appear their method of customer service is to create long chains of information and communication until you simply forget about it.

    It has been 21 days since my initial request for information. This request is still not satisfied.

    Firstmark Service staff seem to be a little uneducated. They cannot understand what you are calling about after numerous emails and phone calls regarding an issue. I make my payments direct payment from my bank account and this is the 2nd time they are claiming I didn't make a payment. I have sent them all of the verification that I made the payment and I continue to get harassing phone calls from credit collectors in the evening for a payment that I made. I would never of had anything to do with them if I had known what they were like. To see that the BBB gives them an 'A" rating makes me sick. They are charging interest on payments they have received timely and are those most unethical business I have ever dealt with.

    Ever since my private student loan was transferred to Firstmark Services, it has been nothing but a negative experience. Each month when my payment is due, I pay my bill then a week or two later I get a call from my original lender who states I am late paying my loan. We then have to do a conference call with Firstmark and I have to tell them when the money was taken out of my bank account and how this needs to be fixed. I get told that it is my credit unions fault or they see the error in their end and they will make sure this gets fixed. I was also told to stop making online payments and call monthly to make my payment and this should stop the issue. I started calling in the payments and I'm still having the same issue!! My co-signer and I are fed up with them! I have made two payments towards my loans and they are still not showing up and now it has hit my credit report!!! I refuse to send any more money to them until they can get their act together. FIRSTMARK SERVICES IS THE WORSE!

    FIRSTMARK REPORTED MY DAUGHTER AND I AS BEING 30 DAYS LATE EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD HER ACCOUNT SET UP FOR AUTO PAY, WHEN SHE CONTACTED THEM THEY TOLD HER THAT IT WAS HER RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THEY TOOK THERE MONEY ON TIME, WHY HAVE AUTO PAY. SHE ASKED THEM TO REMOVE THE BLACK MARKS FROM OUR CREDIT FILE AND THEY TOLD HER SHE WOULD HAVE FILE A DISPUTE WITH EACH OF THE THREE CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES TO GET IT REMOVED. VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY TO DEAL WITH

    I called and talked with Firstmark customer service a few weeks ago about military benefits(Servicemembers Civil Relief Act). I told customer service that I received an e-mail that stated, "Active duty is not indicated in orders. Please provide your most recent active duty orders for secondary review". I explained the situation and told them where they could look for the words active duty on my orders. I ended up getting put on hold several times for the duration of an hour. Every time I was put on hold there was a different explanation. I was told that I had to be current active duty, but when you look at the website it states, "If you are currently serving or have served on active duty". Then I eventually got hung up on. I called back and talked, to another customer service rep and was told to resend my orders and highlight the part that says active duty. I sent my highlighted orders and a screenshot of their website. Its been over a week and still no response.

    I went through an entire year waiting on hold for hours between Firstmark and ***! Never once did they verbally tell me they it is required though the state you live in that your review must state 5-7 years in writing. NJ just says 3+ years. I've been disabled for 10 years and have had one review! I made me my case with them that I should not be responsible for the added interest due to forbearance. They told me I was stuck. I would never have went through a year and 2+ hour holds between them and *** had I known this fact. They trap you into doing this. It's wrong and I hope this helps anyone else whom may attempt any business with them in the future.

    It's regarding student loan with Firstmark Services. They have negatively reported to credit bureau due to late payment but the notification for credit report policy was not delivered properly. Also, it has misled the clients to make a payment until the end of the month. For example, my monthly payment was paid on 7/30 before end of the month, but Firstmark Services has reported before end of the month even though we are not aware exact deadline time that we must pay in order to avoid any issue with my credit history. As a result, it has affected personal credit report very bad even though it has been paid properly. Firstmark Services' goal is not making clients credit score lower, but they are doing the payment process for clients correctly. Even though we have spoken to customer service supervisor Lizzy, she did not care anything about personal credit score which could huge impact on our family in this tough financial difficulty. The instant resolution for this is that Firstmark Servicesmust revoke the negative credit reporting because the monthly payment wentthrough successfully. Also, it was caused by misleading the clients who are aware tomake a payment by the end of the month because there was no proper notificationto clients. It must be done the proper and clear notification to not make the clientsconfused about current credit report system. Also, at least it must be reported tocredit bureau with flexible deadline because company is not working to make clientshave bad credit score. For example, if clients forget to make a payment till end ofmonth the negative report credit bureau must be done at early next month.

    Firstmark is the worst service ever. They increased my monthly balance without notice and wouldn't even help me cause I could not afford it. They do not care about you at all - the lady on the phone didn't care. I explained to her my situation and explained I couldn't pay the increased amount and she didn't help me at all. So now I'm stuck with a balance I cannot afford for the next few months. And I have a late fee if I don't pay lol.


    I hate *********** for putting my student loan with them. It's horrible. I hate Firstmark services. Do not use these people ever! They just care about money and don't care if you cannot pay. No morals and ethics here.
