      I would leave zero stars if they were possible. National General was supposed to cancel coverage on a car or mine. After filling out all of the correct paperwork and being assured everything was in order. Time passed and I saw a pending $1000+ charge on my bank account. I immediately contacted National General since the debit had yet to process. While on the phone (chat) with them it magically passes from pending to processed. Electronically, of course. They then informed me it would take 20 days to cut me a check, and mail it, to refund the $1000+ they so conveniently were able to electronically debit from my bank account. I will never do business with this company again and I would highly suggest nobody else give them their business either.

      This the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with, I wish I would have done my homework on them before signing with them. I was in an accident by an uninsured driver, they did nothing to help me, then told need because I have a lawyer already we are not going to help you fix your vehicle, to any be body that is considering going with this insurance company, turn around and run as far as you can from them. This insurance company is not fod their customers and will leave you out high to dry. They do not car about you and will offer no help, now I understand why pay the money for big name insurance companies, because companies like this will never give you a helping hand, they just add more stress to your issues, I should have known better

      One of the worst insurance companies ever. We are trying find out the status of our claim from 15 days ago no one returns calls no one answers phone.

      National general insurance company I would give them - negative stars. First I had to go to this cause allstate is connected with them. I have rebuilt salvage vehicles and allstate wouldn't insure them anymore. National general informed me after I add my 6 vehicle on that I had to drop one I had 3 people on my policy. So I add my son on my policy so I could keep 6 vehicles. Then at policy renewal they still made me drop a vehicle off or they would cancel my insurance. I have never had a problem with ******** of how my vehicles I had with them. Just went to another company after national general insurance c*** Called to cancel I have week and 2 day left on my next renewal date he informed me I had to pay $50.00 to cancel it ohio state fee required. I have found nothing on this I'm not happy and will send this to state of ohio cause he is lying. Stay away for this company they will raise your rates every renewal and will hassle you. It's unreal I was at their mercy until I could find someone to give me proper coverage. Its a warning it's not worth the lies they tell you.

      The worst customer service I have ever been provided. Absolutely 0 communication. ****** **** and *** ***** are extremely unprofessional and do not care. They blamed the lack of communication on "a new phone system"

      Im extremely disappointed in the way INTEGON General Insurance handled my claim after their insured driver hit my legally parked vehicle. Despite me providing all requested documentation and having a witness reach out directly to the investigator, the company denied my claim citing they couldnt determine the time frame of the incident.This decision makes absolutely no sense considering the evidence presented and the fact that the vehicle was unoccupied and parked legally at the time of impact. Denying a clear liability claim based on an arbitrary technicality feels like a blatant attempt to avoid responsibility.If youre ever in an accident involving one of their policyholders, dont expect professionalism or fair treatment. I complied with every request, and they still failed to do the right thing. Its unacceptable, and Ill be pursuing further action through the state insurance department and my own legal options if ************ better, INTEGON.

      I had a policy with them for almost 2 years. My policy was paid up 2 months in advance. I decided to cancel my policy and was refunded less than 25 percent of what my refund was supposed to be. No one could explain why and they continued to hang up on me when I was asking questions. Very rude and very unprofessional. I lost money dealing with the company and was left uninsured due to this company not refunding me my correct amount. I spoke with customer service and supervisor and the where all very unapologetic about the situation. Would NEVER recommend direct auto to anyone. TERRIBLE Company.. I wish I could give ZERO STARS.

      Complaint Type: Billing/Collection Issue Status: Unresolved Description:I strongly advise against using The General Insurance. After canceling my policy, I was still charged the full premium amount. When I contacted customer service, I was told it would take 1015 business days to receive a refund, which is an unreasonably long turnaround time. As a result, my bank account went into the negative.Additionally, it is extremely difficult to escalate issues. I had to formally request to speak with a supervisor, and even then I was told it would take up to 72 hours for someone to respond. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a financial service provider.I am requesting an immediate refund and an explanation for why the charge occurred after cancellation. I would also like compensation for any overdraft fees caused by this incident.

      They are the worst. This ***** ****** adjuster Ive been dealing with for months speaks out the side of his mouth. When I told him I think Im going to get a private adjuster he told me I threatened him with a private adjuster. My claim has been going on since the beginning of may, and the guy has the Gauls to act like the stuff he just emailed me is still missing information he needs he has the Gauls to act like he asked me for these things from the beginning, and no he did not he requested them literally less then a week ago, very rude adjuster, unprofessional, racist, the list goes on and on
