We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.On July 26. 2024, the Department of Justice filed a civil complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of federal law prohibiting National General from erroneously force-placing its Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) product on vehicles financed through Wells Fargo, despite borrowers already having insurance through other carriers.
