1 starI would give this company zero stars if possible. Completely regret using Pack Rat. I moved from ******* to ********** and my container was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks. I called 2 days before the arrival date to confirm that it was on schedule and they said yes it would be delivered on time. Come the day of drop off, they never showed up. I took the day off work, hired movers, and all they could say was that they didn't have a driver and the warehouse would have my container delivered the next day. Absolutely unacceptable service. If they didn't have a driver, they should have called so that I could rearrange my schedule and the movers. **************** is terrible and unhelpful. They don't hold their end of the contract and don't care about the inconvenience it causes. Moving is already stressful enough without the added expenses. 1 starWe received our storage container but still expect compensation. We had been waiting over a month for our container from 1-800-Pack-Rat. It contained our bed, wedding photos, wedding dress, furniture, clotheseverything we needed to liveand we had no idea when we would get it. The facility shared a building with ****, and while the **** side had a roof collapse, Pack Rats side wasnt damaged. Still, they gave us no timeline, no plan, and no updatesjust repeated delays. They also hadnt promised us a full refund! They just kept saying they wouldnt charge us from that point forward (DUH!). It was unacceptable that a national company couldnt provide basic communication or an estimated delivery date. We understood that issues happen, but the complete lack of transparency or urgency was inexcusable. What could they give to help those impacted? Accidents happenhelp those affected.Would NEVER recommend.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1 starFine print scam policies will force you to pay a full month even if you only have the pod for a few days. When you call to ask about refund/prorated charges they will tell you they offer no refunds no matter what. If you push further the supervisor will talk over you and yell at you until youre hung up on. Im sure they will rent it out again as soon as they have it back so theyre getting multiple people to pay for the same pod. Absolutely horrendous customer service. 1 starI dont often write reviews, but my experience with 1-800-PACK-RAT was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others.I chose 1-800-PACK-RAT because they offered insurance coverage for damages that might occur during transport and storage. I paid extra for this coverage, believing it would offer peace of mind. Unfortunately, when a flatscreen television was damaged during the move, that coverage proved to be worthless.Their first reaction was to blame me claiming the damage must have occurred because of how I packed the TV, without any evidence or investigation. I followed their guidelines carefully, yet they immediately defaulted to deflection.I appealed this decision through their internal board, hoping for a fair review of the situation. Disappointingly, I received the same response: a flat-out refusal to take responsibility, again citing that the damage must have been due to my packing despite having paid for insurance that was supposed to protect against exactly this type of *********** the end, I received no reimbursement. The insurance I paid for offered zero protection and zero accountability. I cannot recommend a company that fails to stand behind its own policies and sells coverage they appear to have no intention of honoring.I strongly caution anyone considering 1-800-PACK-RAT: think twice before trusting them with your belongings.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

It is more than just the monthly payment, it's the lack of communication. The incident in the facility happened over a month ago, yet we weren't informed about it 2 weeks ago when calling to schedule our move, and the company neglected at the time of charging us $2000 to mention any possible delays. Now we're in a house and having to buy essentials, like children's beds, and other furniture that we already own, but it's now stuck in our container. So we're out the $2000 in transportation fees and now hundreds to make sure we have something to sleep on and cookware to cook with.Review fromEric D

1 starAt first, our experience was great. We had a pod delivered, filled it and had it put in storage until we make the move to our new house. We decided to get a second one. This time, the experience was horrible. Once again, we specifically stated we needed the pod as far over in our driveway to our neighbors house and near the doors near the grass by the fence. The female driver that came out to *******, LA around 1:30pm not only ignored these instructions, but when I pointed this out, she was rude as h*** and refused to adjust the pod at all. My husband met with the manager to show on the security cameras the issue and essentially they didn't care. The driver who delivered was bragging about getting off early to go somewhere. No wonder she dropped it in the MIDDLE of our driveway so we can't even park in it - as I stated we needed to be able to do. Go with another company. This one is clearly garbage with incompetent people working here who can't follow directions. They want to charge you for a service, but do not fulfill it - yet the original driver who delivered had absolutely no issues the first time. The lady who came today only cared about dropping it INCORRECTLY and leaving. Save yourself the headache.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1 starThis company changed my pricing 5 times, made promises on 2 separate occasions to deliver my containers on separate dates to accommodate but refused to honor those promises. Multiple customer service **** said that ********************** page would be updated to reflect my delivery date, only it never was. I called to ask for the separate delivery date, and was told it was unavailable each time despite being promised by the previous *** that it was. Each time, the situation was elevated, and I was told that containers must be delivered together despite previous promises. If all containers must be delivered together, they should clearly state this and allow you to choose a date online early to help with the planning of moving. Either that or keep your promises to your Veteran customers. I know several Veterans making moves in the future and have told them to go elsewhere.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC
