Brought a new toilet at my local Lowes in *****, Md., and paid the extra delivery fee. When it arrived, the toilet was in several pieces so I refused acceptance. The driver said he would get back to his dispatcher to have another one delivered. Mind you. I had disassembled the toilet this was suppose to replace, so I told my wife, ",Let me go back to Lowes **************** to see if everything was alright and I could accelerate getting the unit.That experience was a futile waste of time. Eventually the manager talked to someone to guarantee delivery two days later with the hope of it arriving the next day. Meanwhile, I'm without a functioning toilet system and no apologies. I couldn't wait to respond to Lowes inquiry on how they did. I gave them almost zeroes in every category and included in the comments section what appears below:The item arrived broken, so I went to lowes customer service in *********. It took them a very long time to figure out how to order a new one including a ridiculous process of refunding and applying it to a new order They promised the new toilet would be delivered today I'm still waiting on a confirmation. The mid city Lowes should be shut down. I spent 3 hours on hold over the course of 2 days trying to get this delivered. The original delivery was taken to the complete wrong address and I never received a notification. I then spent an hour on hold trying to get it rescheduled and finally got someone on the phone who told me a manager would call me but they never did. I had to call back at 6:45am to get the delivery on a truck because it was critical I received it. The manager was able to get it on a truck and said they would call me back in an hour with a time frame because our business was closed and I had to go receive it on my day off. The manager Arten I believe was his name never called me back. I then spent another hour on hold trying to contact the store. I was never able to get through, called the corporate pro desk who was able to transfer me to the pro desk at the store. The pro desk told me that it was impossible that the manager got the delivery on the truck and it would not be delivered. When I started crying on the phone she got her manager who told her that it was being delivered in an hour. It took hours of tears and waiting on hold just to get a few sheets of 4x8 hardboard delivered to my company. Based on the help reviews of this store it seems as though this is a common occurrence and this store should fire everyone who works there. In all, with a work stop down and my wasted time this delivery cost me $1400 on top of what the materials cost.Review from Wendy S

I recommend avoiding Lowes at all cost. Tried to buy a wash machine online August 31. Their site would not allow it. Called the store and was told if we come in , they would deliver machine in 3 days. We go in on September 1 and purchase machine. We are told it will not be delivered until Monday the 9th. My husband takes the 9th off to bring the washer in and install ourselves. We receive email on Sunday the 8th stating it will be here between noon and 4pm. Nope. No delivery, no contact from Lowes. We start calling at 4pm the number the salesman gave us for delivery. The call center is not in ***. The first ****** hung up on my husband. I then called and the woman told me that it would not be delivered until September 12. I should have received an email. I said I did, on the 8th and it was all about delivery on the 9th. She puts me on hold. comes back to say no, they knew on 4th they did not have it in stock. Husband then calls store. customer service ( ha!) says that's not their job. They have nothing to do with deliveries. They transfer husband back to a sales guy who says-he has nothing to do with that. He tells husband talk to store manager. Husband is told manager in meeting. we were suppose to get a call back. That was 2 days ago. No call back. Lowes clearly does not care about customers. They have our money and they will deliver whenever they feel like. I'd like to remind Lowes that without customers, they may not have money or jobs.Review from Teresa H

I would give a 0 if that was an option. Order a gate and it got pushed back 3 months so I cancelled. I decided to try again the day of the delivery they pushed it back yet again said 3 weeks then they sent me an email say not until end of October. I ordered August 8th. Well today I looked at my order to see if there is a change go to find out now they are out of stock! ***. Last thing Im ordering. To many companies out there to keep being let down by ****! NEVER PURCHASE ANY ITEM FROM LOWES THAT HAS A REBATETHEY DO NOT HONOR THEM. We have been trying for the last 2-3 months to get a $200.00 rebate from a very expensive **** Deere riding mower we bought from Lowes in May of 2024. We have submitted this 5x online and once by a manager at the store by fax email. We then spent an hour+ waiting on the phone only to be hung up on. We called Lowes corporate, per the store recommendation because they said they couldnt honor the rebate or do anything about it because its through an independent company, only to be told that they would not help usmeaning honor this rebate. The company that Lowes corporate contracts these rebates thru are scam artists and Lowes doesnt care because they use these rebates to hook consumers in like us which says to me that Lowes really only cares about jobbers, builders, big corporations and not the individual people who buy there ( such as DIYers) unless you want patio furniture and holiday decorations.Review from Rita B

We had siding put on our home 2 years ago! Deciding is already starting to fall! When you buy sight and you expected to last more than 2 years! Lowe's is refusing to send somebody out to come fix it! I have had nothing but problems since the day this started. Keep telling me it's a warranty thing it is not a warranty thing it's the dumbass company that they hired that did not put it on right the first time! I will never go back to **********'s and I know I'm just one person but I do have a big family and they will never go back as well I've been telling people never go to Lowe's for their siding!!! If this store location on ******** in ******** & is one of many MO stores Regional Manager ********* ********* is in charge of, then I'm in the right place! On 09-03-24--My daughter-in-law took her mini bike up to Lowes to be fixed & was told they would call her when it's done - never happened. It gets worse! On 09-10-24, She visited the store to see the status of her bike and Lowe's ******************* both told her it's been sitting out in the rain the whole time so there will be rust on it. But that didn't seem to be THEIR problem either. Strike Two. Wait for it. THEN, said associate/manager gives her a bike, VIN# doesn't match. She returns incorrect bike and they come back with 'we can't find your bike'. Then Lowes wouldn't do/say/process/help in anyway. PLEASE tell me STEALING is STILL illegal??! 911 is a simple dial!Even if my daughter ends up NOT getting her bike back, I NEED this post to get out and WARN OTHERS of LOWEs STEALING and the law finds it legal, otherwise, it wouldn't of happened!Review from Caroline G

I ordered a washer and dryer from Lowes and have had nothing but problems. They had to come to my home 4 times and I am waiting on a credit. When you call, no one there does anything to help. Because they do not handle their own deliveries, they say I need to deal with a third party vendor. Why is that my job to do that? No one will ensure I receive my credit, even the store manager. ********, ** store - terrible customer service.Review from Dave B.

I purchased an outdoor conversation set online from Lowes Home Improvement consisting of 4 (four) swivel rockers and a fire pit table as well as an outdoor table top heater. I was sent 3 boxes, 1 (one) with the heater, 1 (one) with the table and 1 (one) contains that contains only 2 (two) chairs - not 4 (four). It even says on the box to the shipper it is a 1X2 box, (one of two boxes to be pulled for a complete set. I spoke several times to Lowes customer service and was told one time that they would have to investigate with the delivery service, ****** Ground), and get back to me. They never did. And two other times was told that I would have to contact the factory for a resolution! Even though I have video proof that only one box containing chairs was dropped off. So I had no choice but to return the whole order and cancel the order. They were unwilling to do that but finally conceded the return. Lowes Home Improvement customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with.Review from Teri R

The WORST Customer Service. On Oct. 16, 2023, I ordered a Recessed Mount Mirrored Medicine Cabinet. The cabinet arrived with a broken mirror. When contacting customer service, I was advised to drop the broken product off at *** Ex, which I did. To make a long story short, a year later, my account has still not been credited and I am being charged interest charges. I have re-opened the claim twice, only to have it closed each time. I have never been afforded the opportunity to speak to anyone. Everything is via email. Lowe's was out of stock on the product so I purchased it from **********. ********** has gotten all my business since this issue.
