      If zero stars were possible, Id choose that. Be cautious the service is filled with hidden costs and misleading contract terms. They pressure you into agreements you dont need, and you cannot cancel unless you pay a buyout fee. Their priority seems to be charging customers more, not providing good service. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

      So I wasn't born with this technology, even though I handle well and do for work other computer technical systems. I found this CPI system very unuser friendly, there are no videos on how to use it, no cheat sheets, no anything. Call in and the techs go over it once, don't have time to write it down and they expect you know it. Had a technician come to today to solve the issue a tech on the phone and I couldn't resolve. He was not friendly, in fact he was very rude. Where I am collecting evidence agaainst a perp in court, he began to tell me he didn't think I had any quality evidence and inferred I didn't have anything worth capturing. I let him know I was a former **** prelaw/law major and I had pinned a ten year wake Forest graduate in court before. How dare he come to my home and tell me what is good evidence or not. Then he quickly did what he thought, in less than three minutes I'd like to say and said he resolved the problem and that was all he come for. I asked him why don't they have videos on how to do this, cheat sheets, books, something, I wasn't born with. this information, he had no answer and reiterated how he had only come to fix the problem. Yes, it works when it wants to such that when it didn't the tech on the phoen and I both couldn't figure it out, and I'm paying for this, really?????? To sell someone equipment and then not back it up with some level of video, booklet, cheat sheet or other educational information is a way of telling clients, buy our equipment and sorry you don't know how to use it. When I asked the guy "How do you use it?" He then answered "Experience," and quickly left. If he was here longer than ten minutes I would be suprised. Working a job and couldn't give flying flip. customer service *****.

      I would give them a 0 because of the dishonest way they do referrals. I would like to say how dishonest CPI is. 1st time I referred my neice to CPI not through the app. They did not give me or her credit. Service person that came out said we would get the credit. Called to complain and the employee said there was nothing he could do. That the supervisor would say the same thing and would not give credit to my neice and myself. 2nd time I recommended my mom through the app. We have received no credit for me or my mom. When my mom called today about her credit. They said she had to do something in the app. My mom who is 74 doesn't have the app. She shouldn't have to do anything in the app. She did the right thing and responded to the email she received and the salesperson who called her. I have an app. Neither of us have received our $100 credit to each account. Seems like there is alot of dishonesty going on. They want their referrals but they don't give you credit. Shame on you CPI. You used to do business **** better than that. I have been with you for 15 years.

      No issue with their service but after moving out of state in May and discontinuing service received collection notice in Oct. stating owed money to ******* not received previous bill,phone call, email,etc Thought it was scam and called them.Was told they send out 1 bill after service disconnected and if they do not receive payment then turn over to collections.There is no 2nd bill, email, phone text or call,etc.Was very surprised since **** never received.Have paid them but wanted other customers to be aware of this practice.

      *** IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT I KNOW OF THAT TELLS THE CALLER THE PASSWORD VOLUNTARILY, IF THE CALLER DOESN'T KNOW THE PASSWORD. HOW SECURE IS THAT??? I COMPLAINED TO THE MANAGER ABOUT THIS. SHE SAID SHE WAS AWARE OF THIS. HOW IS THIS PROTECTING YOUR CUSTOMES? AND, THE EQUIPMENT ISN'T WORKING LIKE IT SHOULD. THEY CALL IT "GLITCHES". I DIDN'T ENROLL IN A SERVICE, EXPECTING ALL OF THESE "GLITCHES". THERE ARE NO "GLITCHES" WHEN YOU DRAFT MY ACCOUNT EACH MONTH TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, YOU GET THESE BAD **** WITH ATTITUDES. HERE'S AN EXAMPLE. I CALLED THIS EVENING AT 6:09PM. I GET THIS *** WHO TOLD ME THAT I'D NEED TO BABYSIT MY SERVICE, FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS, AFTER SHE RESET THE CAMERA, DUE TO A POSSIBLE GLITCH. I EXPLAINED THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BABYSIT MY EQUIPMENT. THAT'S NOT WHAT I PAY FOR. WHY DID I SAY THAT? THE GLOVES CAME OFF. THIS FEMALE CPI *** ACTED LIKE THIS WAS HER COMPANY, AND I HAD INSULTED HER. SHE STARTED CUTTING ME OFF MID-SENTENCE OVER AND OVER, ON THE RECORDED CALL. I ASKED HER TO STOP DOING THAT. SO, SHE DID IT EVEN MORE. THIS CHILDISH *** GOT ANGRIER AND ADVISED ME THAT SHE WAS NO LONGER GOING TO ASSIST AND WAS TRANSFERRING ME TO ANOTHER ***. INSTEAD, SHE PUT ME ON MUTE FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES. THEN SHE DISCONNECTED THE CALL. WHERE DOES CPI FIND THESE PEOPLE? APPARENTLY, THIS *** WAS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, NO ANGER MANAGEMENT TRAINING, AND DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PROTECTING A CUSTOMER'S PASSWORD BECAUSE SHE SURE TOLD ME WHAT THE CORRECT PASSWORD WAS. AND, I COULD HAVE BEEN A CRIMINAL. THE COMPANY CLAIMING TO PROTECT THE CUSTOMER'S IS THE COMPANY VOLUNTEERING MY ********************** INFO. THIS IS WORSE THAN THE BLACK WEB MARKET. THEY SELL CUSTOMER DATA. CPI **** ARE GIVING PASSWORD INFO AWAY FOR FREE. IS THIS REALLY THE BEST COMPANY TO PROTECT ME? **, NO! BUT, THEY ARE QUICK TO COLLECT THEIR PAYMENTS AND INCREASE THE COST OF THEIR "SERVICE". FIX THE GLITCHES, AND FIX YOUR BAD ATTITUDE ****. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME

      CPI is not a good security system. The majority of the time the cameras never pickup people, animals, cars, etc. CPI is also over priced and the night time vision for the cameras are not in color, they are not clear and only show in ************** When it does finally pickup a signal with the orange ring around it, you cant even see what the object is. They will label an outside grill as a person. Bad investment.

      If I could give zero Stars I would. I called this company on August 27, 2025 to get a quote on having one of their alarm systems installed in my home. I told the sales Tech that I was going to inquire with another company to get a quote from them as well and the sales ************************ gave me their quote and told me that I would have to pay the sales tax up front to secure the quote he gave me. That should have been a red flag there, but I agree to pay the $41.93 to hold the quote but he assured me that I could cancel if I decided to go with the other company. The following day I sent him an email that I had ADT coming out that following Saturday to give me a quote and that I would like to cancel and get a refund for the taxes that he claimed I had to pay up front because I wasn't 100% sure I was going to go with them. Here it is October 9th and still have not gotten a refund from this company. They steal money from people and with no intentions of giving refunds back. I never got any Services whatsoever from these people and they refuse to give me my money back. I would never recommend CPI, *** is the best way to go.

      Use a different security company! *** puts you in a contract which allows them to raise your monthly fee (higher than competitive companies) while severely charging you if you exit early. Their systems have consistently technical error in which they charge you for a technician to come out (which only started in 2023). Recent female manager was rude and disrespectful, speaks to customers like they are children. I regret going with CPI. Ive been a loyal customer for years and she will not waive the technicians fee (not even partially) for a smoke detector that continues malfunctioning after being reset properly with new batteries for 3 consecutive days (each day they show it being reset properly and then the next day it gives the same low battery error3 days in a row and counting). Worst security system company. Save the hassle and go with another oneANY other company is better than CPI. Theyve only gotten worse thru the years.

      This company has been extremely disappointing and unsafe. Their system failed, and my neighbors were able to use my access code to break into my apartment. When I reported the issue, the company refused to take accountability, offered no assistance, and did not even alert the police. This shows a complete lack of security and responsibility. I feel taken advantage of as a consumer, and I am preparing legal action. I strongly advise others not to use this company.

      Do not use this company. They quote you and tell you bull over the phone, then it's worse when the tech comes with upping the price and more bull. They lie, they don't call you back, they trap you, they are a rip off. Then when you tell them no, they come down on the price and turn right around and claim your getting something your not. Warning ?? keep away. It's a joke. Wasted 1 hour on the phone and over half a day with the tech.
