I'm usually a scrappy traveler who does his own planning, but with work and life being so hectic, I needed help putting together a much needed vacation... otherwise I'd never get around to taking it. I had two requirements for Jamie: 1) I wanted a medieval history tour in the UK 2) I didn't want to do any thinking in regards to logistics, travel, timing, etc. With only a few weeks to work with before the trip, Jamie acted quickly and methodically and was very responsive, reaching out numerous times to ensure he was getting the details suited to my preferences and budget. The trip ended up being fantastic... the itinerary brought me to several storied cities in England and Scotland to see important castles and cathedrals, complete with tour guides. All hotels and trains were sorted, all I had to do was roll out of bed and follow the instructions he sent. Would definitely leverage Jamie again if I needed a memorable travel experience but faced decision paralysis.

Jamie went above and beyond to create the perfect itinerary for us in Argentina. We had a wonderful mix of planned adventures and leisure time that left us excited to experience the next cultural encounter/excursion. Jamie was very responsive and made the entire process go so smoothly, no less across multiple time zones, especially when he helped us navigate a connecting flight cancellation due to snow in TX, which required flying out a day later and adjusting our first tour time. I am a returning customer. Why? Because you cannot find someone who works tirelessly to fit your budget and your needs to give you the most fantastic getaway possible. It has been TOO MANY years since we last were able to get away on a vacation. When we finally had the time again, Jamie was my first contact even with many years in between contact. He adds a personal touch and you can tell he truly cares. I'd even consider myself a "high maintenance" customer in my requests and he still takes the time, the energy, and the effort to accommodate and shoot it straight to me. Jamie booked our first cruise for us - 11 days in the Caribbean. We were very happy with the entire experience. Jamie always pays attention to details, and it makes for a smooth trip! We flew into Miami a day early which is always a necessity when coming from Minnesota! The hotel we stayed at was a perfect location and allowed us to easily walk across the street to shops and restaurants. Getting to the port was also very easy. MSC was terrific. Jamie secured a mid-ship balcony room - it was worth it. Very fun to watch the sun rise coming into port or watching sun set while leaving port. Made for some great pictures! Food was very good - especially the seafood, pizza, and desserts. There was a great variety, and you could always find something to meet your needs. The shows were FANTASTIC and there were lots of activities onboard to keep everyone busy. The excursions that Jamie booked were great. It is always nice to just let someone else direct the activities. We also booked a couple additional excursions on board through MSC, again great experience. Everything about this trip was terrific and went smoothly. We did use a private car service from the Miami airport to our hotel and then from the cruise port back to the airport. This is a WONDERFUL indulgence - do it once and you will never go back! We will continue to use Jamie. Always an excellent experience and NO surprises!Wandering Puffin, LLC

This was our first oversees trip to Italy and Jamie was terrific! We are so thankful for his attention to every detail, his reminders and his planning is outstanding. We visited the magical Venice along with the islands. We moved on to Florence where the cooking class & wine tasting was amazing, took the train to Sorrento for breathtaking views of the coast and 5 star farm to table lunch! The drivers and tours were incredible. We met Rosa in Rome for a delightful tour that came to life. Memories to treasure of Italy with our dear friends! Our family has taken numerous trips over the past twenty five years with the help of Jamie Bachrach, owner of The Wandering Puffin. We just returned from another fabulous trip in Italy in September. Jamie made the trip easy with air travel, transportation, informative tour guides and accommodations. He did not miss a single detail, once again. He even met us at the airport to make sure everything went smoothly for our group. His wonderful and knowledgable wife, Rosa was our tour guide in Rome. She was such a joy to be with as our friend and tour guide. We can't say enough how we enjoy all of our travels that Jamie has arranged for us, such as France, Costa Rica, Spain, Disney World, Czech Republic, Poland, Budapest and a few others. I want to thank Jaime and Rosa for an outstanding Italian adventure. We had experiences and saw sights that will stay with us for a lifetime. From experiencing the Trevi fountain, the inside of the Colosseum and the Appian Way, the flavors of Rome (especially the porchetta), and then to the small scenic town of Tivoli with the two historic villas and fountains, to say nothing of the adventure of the regional train to board our ship for the cruise. Then the time in Venice especially the trips to the islands of Murago and Burago. And then Florence, to see the Duomo, the statue of David (considerably larger than expected), the views from the piazza di Michelangelo, the cooking class, the gelato along with side trips to Sienna and Parma. The story and tasting of the balsamic vinegar really stood out to me as different (better) than expected. And then finally to Milan with the Galleria, the Duomo (one of the most impressive cathedrals that I have seen rivaling the cathedral at Cologne and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona), and then the trip to Lake Como, St. Moritz and the the scenic train to Bernina. Wow what a trip. Thanks for the trip of a lifetime, at least until our next one.Wandering Puffin, LLC

Jamie made sure our Italy trip was awesome! Our tours through his company made our trip!! Loved the cooking class in Florence!! I was able to check boxes off my bucket list I wasn’t sure I would ever get to see. I got to see David, The Sistine chapel and the Last Supper. Jamie has done trips for us in the past, so trusting him to make our Italy vacation the once in a lifetime trip we wanted was an easy choice and the right one!!Wandering Puffin, LLC

Nearly any travel agent can get you from Point A to Point B. If you want one that can take you from A to B to C to D to E to F to G ... talk to Jamie at the Wandering Puffin. He crafted a seven country, nearly two-month trip for me and my niece this year. Problems? Yup! Iceland Air decided they were not going to fly to Greenland - Jamie pivoted quickly and our Greenland adventure turned into a delightful time in Norway.
