    Their IT is horrible. I created an account yesterday on their portal and today tried to access to see a ***ort. The system triggers a phone call (not an SMS message), but their was no recorded pin to login with. So I tried to reach customer service, spent a fair amount of time in voice mail h*** before being transferred to a ***resentative. The *** was in ***** and wanted my full name and full social security number (not just the last 4 digits) I declined to give that. Later read other postings that US ***resentatives do not ask for the full SS number. I suspect fraud on the part of their contracted call center in *****. Of course there is no email address to which I can send my concerns. I have complained to Senator ******** office and I hope someone on her staff asks them to explain themselves. It might be a legit company, but it is so poorly run that it should have no role in the banking system.

Our records indicate that the consumer contacted ChexSystems on October 08, 2025, indicating he was unable to login to his secure consumer portal account. The ********************** representative attempted to assist the consumer however, Mr. ****** declined to provide his Social Security number. Providing the ChexSystems representative with ****************** Security number is required for authentication purposes and to make a complete search of our files and locate all information that may pertain to the consumer. If Mr. ****** is still having issues accessing the ChexSystems consumer portal account, he may call ************ to reach a ChexSystems representative for assistance.

    Their website portal registration ***** ***** *****. Doesn't work with any browser on any platform.I called and their people were helpful, but it did take 45 minutes on the phone to get verified and registered (and I had to install and use Chrome on my phone, without WIFI).The fact that you can't use ANY computer with ANY browser and MUST use cell connectivity to register (and even then they had to manually verify me) means I give NO FAITH in their ability to keep anyone's credit and personal information ********* the end I was able to register and place a freeze to avoid identity theft.

The ********************** representative was able to assist the consumer with registering for a consumer portal account and Mr. ****** was able to successfully register. If Mr. ****** has any further issues with the ChexSystems consumer portal account, he may call ************ to reach a ChexSystems representative for assistance.

    His company is full of indigenous people that do not know how to talk to people they are so rude so disrespectful on top of the fact that they deal with our livelihoods. Banks report to these people when something is wrong with the account. But although the account is paid off check systems refuses to remove the misinformation. They claim on a 30-day investigation but they're not even investigating because the bank has notified them not once not twice but three times that they were paid in full and chex systems still continues to make my life a living h*** Somebody needs to investigate this company and shut their ***** down and have someone else take over for Bank issues. These people should not be allowed to deal with our lives especially when they're not in favor of Americans and they don't know how to treat people. On top of the fact that they are reporting false information. It is false because the bank is already notified them three times and I've already notified them a few times and they refuse to correct the issue. Someone reads this please if you have any power shut them down.

    Years ago, I had a credit freeze with ChexSystems. They recently started requiring a portal account to Manage Freezes. I created a portal account and immediately initiated a freeze. A few days later, I wanted to extend the freeze. After entering a login / password / 2FA, the "Confirm Your Details" appeared on the screen. My information was listed correctly. When I press "Confirm" I get: "Unknown Error Your request could not be processed because of a technical issue. Please try again later or contact ChexSystems at ************."I cannot get through this screen and no other functionality is allowed. I tried on 3 web browsers, clearing the cache on each one. I tried on my mobile device, also with a cleared cache. I am not using a bookmark. Authentication is successful and I am being sent an email with the subject line "Successful Login Notification." THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTICATION ISSUE.I called Portal Support and after an hour of troubleshooting, they were unable to fix the issue. They escalated to ************************** of Portal Desk" and their Supervisor and advised I should try again in 1 business day. I tried the next day and got the same error. I called Portal Support again and they spent another 30 minutes trying to troubleshoot instead of reading the escalation report from yesterday. I asked for a Supervisor. The Supervisor confirmed the original ticket was closed as completed. However, I still have the same issue. The Supervisor is required to submit a new ticket today (Friday). ChexSystems isn't open on the weekend (as if people don't need access on a weekend).I am unable to use any portal functionality until this is resolved. ChexSystems Portal Support is lacking and their technical teams are functionally useless. What kind of developer implements an error message called "Unknown Error" with no helpful information - a lazy one who does not want to program individual error messages for all possible outcomes. Technical Debt must be paid.

    Similar to other reports, I have very good credit from the other credit bureaus (over 800). I tried to open a bank account that has a good location and was denied citing ChexSystem report. I pulled my ChexSystem report and it is pristine but it doesn't show my mortgage (never a late or missed payment), multiple credit cards (never a late or missed payment), or any of the auto leases that are paid in time and fully paid off (I bought the cars at lease end). True credit says I am in the top 2% of consumers.

    My family and I are in the process of recovering from an identity theft incident. I was able to get my PIN in the mail but would prefer to be able to manage our freeze via the Chex Systems website. Unfortunately my wife and I are getting an error 801 on the website so I called the number indicated.After 2 calls ~3 weeks apart and trying too many device / browser combinations to mention, Chex Systems had no escalation path and just registered a complaint w/o providing a case number or reference.Overall Chex Systems customer service was absolute trash.Both reps I spoke with barely listened to me and interrupted my explanation to (what seemed to me) continue reading from their support script. At times were completely inarticulate and ultimately stonewalled all my attempts to escalate an obvious technical problem.On the positive side they were careful about authenticating my wife and I when calling in, which I appreciate.

    Horrible customer service. I couldn't understand the language barrier..I was feeling l Iike these people are scammers because I may be wrong but the language barrier are Indian or sumn which made me feel like they are scammers..the background was noisey as well not professional.

    Reason for low score is large number of inquiries from unique/different financial institutions in the past 30 days. I have 3 (tried multiple times to open an account) from a single institution which by their own definition should count as 1. After well over an hour on the phone with customer service who keeps contradicting himself now waiting for a supervisor for over 10 minutes. I'm about to hang up. I would have hung up a long time ago but this is preventing me from opening a savings account that I desperately need. Unfortunately, most banks use Chex Systems and will likely just add to the number of inquiries making my situation worse. FWIW, I have more than 12 different bank accounts in the ** and my credit score is 825. This is an awful system and a really poor service with clueless customer service reps

    Chexsydtems should be illegal! I have perfect credit and $ in the bank and I ve been refused by 3 banks to open an account because of chexsytems. I tried to deposit $50,000 into Citibank and was turned down? An absolute joke of a company Invasion of our privacy!!!

    I tried to register for a Chexsystems account multiple times but recieved an error message each time stating that "the security questions could not be generated." When I called Chexsystems about this, after waiting on hold through the prerecorded messages, they told me that the issue was not appearing on their end, and must be with IDology, their ID verification service that they outsource from. The number Chexsystems gave me for IDology was actually for a different company, LexisNexis, who turned out to be the service that IDology uses. After conversing with both LexisNexis and IDololgy, I was told that there was no problem verifying my ID on their end. I called Chexsystems back, and they insisted there was no problem on their end, and that it must be IDology. I was bounced back and forth until an IDology representative suggested that Chexsystems call them to work out the issue. I called Chexsystems back and requested they do so, to which I was told I would receive a callback within 48 hours regarding the issue after they had contacted IDology. After 3 days without a callback, I called Chexsystems and they were very cagey when I asked if they had spoken to IDology. *******, after a few minutes of the representative ******* and hawing, they informed me that they had called IDology and had been told that IDology did not have sufficient information to verify my ID. This is very odd, considering that IDology had already told me they were able to verify my ID, and sent me a public record report. This service is disgusting! Chexsystems should be able to fix any issues with their ID verification service, and definitely shouldn't make the customers call the 3rd party service that they outsource their verification to! Furthermore, the verification services clearly had no issue verifying my ID, so the issue is clearly on Chexsystems' end. They didn't offer to help me provide any additional info to verify my ID, and were just overall supremely unhelpful.

Our records indicate that ********************* attempted to create a secure consumer portal account through the chexsystems.com website and the security quiz could not be generated as the consumer could not be located based on the information they entered or there is not enough information about the consumer to generate a quiz. When this occurs, a message will display informing the consumer to contact ChexSystems using another method. ChexSystems receives security quiz information from a third party that provides authentication services. If the consumer would like to check or update their public record information, they may call ************** or go to the website www.choicetrust.com. **************** BBB review also includes a request to manually verify the information so they can create a secure portal account. ********************** is unable to manually create and authenticate answers to a security quiz. The consumer can submit requests by phone at ************, by mail at Chex Systems, ****, Attn: Consumer Relations, P.O. Box ******, ***********, **, ***** or through our website at www.chexsystems.com, without creating a portal account.
