1 starI had to make a return of an item that I purchased. I started the return at home. I brought the item back to store 499 and the return was processed incorrectly. I noticed it before I left the store and I went back to have it corrected. I mentioned that the person that processed the return had already taken the item back. The person that processed the return got very defensive about it saying "Don't blame me because of your mistake!" I wasn't rude and my voice wasn't raised.
I just said that I wanted the item correctly refunded. The store manager (Miesha) processed the refund correctly.
However, I feel as though the customer service clerk needs to be reprimanded. Not at the error, because I take some onus for it.
However, he needs to be corrected on his attitude. If he can't handle certain interactions, then, perhaps, he doesn't need to be in a front facing customer service position.Review fromBenito A

1 starI purchased a laptop computer and was given a 36 month membership at one cost. I have had the computer for a year and was charged $300 on my bank acct for the "annual fee", I had coupons to spend towards other purchases and when went to redeem them, was not able to after 3 hours in the store a supervisor was to call back... Still waiting!
I called again and have been volleyed between Citibank and Best Buy and back to Citibank and Best Buy.... Nothing was resolved. I have $255 coupons that is "available" but cannot use it... Because Best Buy cannot /will not work with the customer.Review fromDr Meg Ann L

1 starWe bought a brand new IMac desktop computer over 20 Days ago and paid for the $179.99 for Best Buy Total membership- our account has been messed up since day one and after multiple contacts to Geek Squad support, each time being assured the problem has been fixed and to wait a few days, it is still incorrect. Apparently each time we have contacted them they have created a new account for us and now we have several accounts which need to be merged and they have failed to fix the issue.
We can't use our membership until this is fixed and there's no way to reach anyone competent. If they are a tech-support and can't fix their own online issues for an account how are they going to fix an actual problem with my computer or any other device that I purchased there?? This has been the worst experience ever with no accountability no apology no response from anyone at Best Buy as to why this has not been corrected. Every time I call I get a different reason or answer as to why this
account is wrong and the problem has only gotten worse! This is unacceptable! I am so sorry I actually purchased this and should've gone with AppleCare. And now I don't even know if it's too late to get AppleCare because it's been beyond the time since I purchased the computer ????????????Review fromDr. Barbara N

2 starsGood Selection, fair prices, but their high-pressure "up-sell" "car-salesman" tactics ruined the deal. Telling me they can't sell a computer without the customer agreeing to a 2-year warranty plan is not good business practice. They will never get my business again.Review fromVicky R

1 starExtremely Disappointed – $10,000+ Appliance Package Still Not Delivered
I would like to start by saying this is not a reflection of our local store, which we have always received great service at. I’m writing to express my deep frustration with Best Buy at a corporate level regarding an appliance order placed on July 6th totaling nearly $11,000. Our original delivery was scheduled to arrive July 24th. We rearranged our schedules and canceled work on that day to prepare. That evening, we began receiving confusing text messages about rescheduling. We called in for clarification and, despite our resistance, were forced to reschedule to July 28th due to an alleged delivery driver emergency.
Fast forward to July 24th, we received more texts asking us to reschedule again. That morning, we received a phone call confirming another reschedule—this time citing a stock issue., and by that evening, we were contacted a third time to reschedule again, with the excuse shifting back to the delivery team.
After we were lied to by a representative, who falsely claimed that the Geek Squad phone number was the corporate number (We’ve saved the transcript of this conversation) in an attempt to get clarity, we reached out to four different corporate email addresses. Despite all efforts, we have yet to receive a response from anyone at Best Buy.
We are already being billed for these appliances we still do not have. The missed work, inconvenience, and lack of accountability are unacceptable. At this point, we simply want to know if and when we will receive our order. The constant rescheduling and miscommunication make it clear that Best Buy's customer service process is not running smoothly.Review fromDorothy O

1 starThis is the worst buying experience I have ever had. I will never go to Best Buy again for anything. My computer crashed and I went to Best Buy specifically because they could retrieve my data and transfer it to the new computer. I purchased a laptop, Geek Squad help for a year, then tried to leave my old computer and the newly purchased one with the Geek Squad so they could do set up on the new one and transfer the data. They would not let me leave it, said I had to have an appointment to drop it off and they didn't have an appointment that day. I explained that I lived an hour and half away and didn't want to drive back the next day just to drop it off but they said "sorry, that's our rules". Drove back the next day expecting to get it fixed that day but was told I had to give them 24 hours so had to drive back a third day in a row to get my new computer. Then I took it home and discovered the camera was defective so had to make an appointment and drive back a fourth time to exchange it under the warranty, but again, I had to leave it 24 hours before coming back to get the 2nd one! Two weeks after that, the laptop hard drive crashed, so back I went again! This time they said they had to send it back to the factory under the warranty. They kept it a month before telling me I needed to come get a replacement one since that one was not repairable. Again, they wanted me to leave it 24 hours and come back the next day after they set it. They have horrible customer service and don't care how much it costs the customer in gas, time, or loss of use while they play around!Review fromWendi M

1 starI’m disgusted by Best Buy’s willingness to right any errors. This company is a joke! Do not do business with them with unless you just want to throw your money away. I went to our local store to pick up headphones my daughter wanted for her birthday. They had the headphones in the store I checked the skew ensuring I had the right ones and headed to the checkout. They then told me the price was $198 when they were in sale for $100. I told them the price was supposed to be $100 after about ten minutes of them looking at me like I had a third eye, they finally figured out the ones I got were blue and apparently the sale was only on black ones. They didn’t have any black ones in the store. The manager refused to match the price for the blue ones. I then ordered the black ones online. They were supposed to be here on the 25th. On the 26th when they still weren’t here they told me they had shipped but the shipper lost them. They offered to refund my money (in 7-10 days). Today’s her birthday. Then they said on the 31st they could ship them to a store two hours from my house. So I should wait five days after her birthday, then drive four hours to get her headphones? No, I want them shipped to my house. Can they overnight them? No. This is why I stopped doing business with Best Buy years ago. Same crap different year. It hasn’t changed. They are overpriced, have horribly rude staff, and are unwilling to help in ANY WAY! Save yourself a headache and take your business elsewhere!Review fromDinoh E

1 starI have been going to this Best Buy for years. Never had any issues until today, The store manager Donald was extremely rude and sarcastic. When I asked if they had a certain item he immediately said No they didn’t have any in stock. Then he rudely said, did you go to the front and ask. I ended up buying something and was at checkout, Donald was standing there, I was down to the point of paying and was going to donate money for BB techs, I said does this help techs teach them good customer service. And what does Donald do refuse my sale. For a store manager he lacks skills of customer service, was rude and condescending. Never have I been treated this way before. And I am definitely not returning to this store again.Review fromEriel F

1 starWe purchased a washer and dryer set in store over two weeks ago from Best Buy. The sales process was smooth, but unfortunately, the delivery experience has been a complete disaster.
Our delivery was scheduled for today. We even received a text message confirming the delivery team was en route, only to get another message just moments later saying it had been canceled due to an “unexpected issue.” No further explanation. No follow up.
We informed Best Buy ahead of time that we live on a military base and were told delivery wouldn’t be a problem because their drivers had base access. We also offered to meet the team at the gate if needed. Despite that, the delivery was canceled without any attempt to contact us or resolve the issue.
I took a day off work specifically to be home for this delivery. We have six children, and being without a washer and dryer for over two weeks has been extremely difficult. This delay has caused major inconvenience, stress, and frustration for our family. Spending a significant amount of money only to be met with poor communication and unreliable service is unacceptable.
At this point, we just want what we paid for, our washer and dryer delivered as promised. Best Buy, please do better!!
