1 starWalden University financial aid is horrible. I was told multiple stories of my refund and still have not received my refund. I would like to report this school financial aid process. It’s very fishy and the advisor are rude clueless and lazy. I am ready to just report them they have all these excuses but have not received anything.Review fromVishu A

1 starUnsolicited calls, text messages, and emails - Hundreds of them over the last two years.
Utterly annoying and relentless. If it happened during earthly hours, I wouldn't be as irritated and beside myself about this real/fake university as I am about now after having spoken to yet another person from the university.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO STOP THEM FROM CONTACTING THEM, LIKE EVER!!!!!?????Review fromTerry C

1 starMy name is Terry C****. After a lot of self-encouragement and praying I enrolled at Walden University at an older age to earn a master's degree. I earned a 3.75 GPA for my classroom studies and started completing my internship in a small town about 37.5 miles away; 65 miles round trip and was accused of unethical behavior by someone at Walden University names Jason Patton and it has been an unbelievable experience ever since. Why would I lie and cheat to Walden University after spending so much money in student loans to go to school. It took me a long time to find an organization to complete my internship and I was very sad and disappointed when I had to stop for no reason, and Walden acts as if they could care less. I made mistakes on my student loan papers because it had been a long time since I'd been school and it was not a problem. I had to go into something called Meditrek to apply, complete application, upload different paper works and lots of other tasks for which I had no training and when I'd reach out to what Walden calls student assistance I got no response at all and when I got a live person on the phone my calls would be disconnected. I also had to make a lot of purchases from Castlebranch to prepare for internship which is also a rip off. Every time I get close to doing my internship Walden will find something wrong and tell oh we changed our minds you need to take 6 months to think about something and in the meantime the Castle Branch packages that I had to purchase are expiring and I have to make purchases all over again.
I recently received an email from Dennison P*****, associate director of student affairs, Walden University who made the above statement concerning I need a 6 month waiting period and Walden will let me know if I can enroll again which Walden may not allow me to is what the email said. Walden's mission & vision statement states they work to make a better society which I find to be a total lie.Review fromJamila W

5 starsWalden University is an excellent school for obtaining a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. They have a supportive faculty and staff to help you obtain your degree. Online education differs from bricks and mortars, requiring more discipline and time management skills. By connecting with faculty and colleagues within your degree program, your success rate becomes higher as you work collaboratively towards expanding your knowledge during your tenure at Walden University. It's not about how fast you complete your academic journey but how you pace yourself throughout your marathon that will enable you to finish success at the finish line.Review fromAshley M

1 starI looked into Walden to get my Bachelors degree. I wasn’t sure how my credits would transfer. So I applied in a field that was somewhat desirable to me. I explained to them on the phone that I just needed to get a bachelors degree in what field it didn’t matter. My job will pay me double what I make now for the degree. So, I really wanted just to take the quickest route I could. They told me I had to apply to get an advisor and send all my transfer credits over. I did just that. Then I have been trying to reach them for well over a month. I have been applying at several schools and one school advised me I only needed 30 more credits to graduate. Walden is telling me I need 101 credits to graduate from a specific degree. I have contacted them repeatedly for the past month to see if there are any programs that would require less credits to graduate with no luck. I recently have been trying to withdraw and I am unable to do that as well. am now I have received a bill when class don’t start for another month and I have no desire to take the courses they have me signed up for. I am at the point now I just want to withdraw and move on. College has always been such a scam to me. This one especially.Review fromKim C

1 starThis “university” is a way to scam a vulnerable population out of money. Disgusting customer services. Does not provide you with a degree or a way to achieve getting a degree. This “university” will lie about degree requirements to keep you in their programs longer so you have to pay them more money and come up with excuses as to why finical aid can’t be used. When you call them to resolve your bill they will hang up on you and tell you they will send you to collections.Review fromRobin L

1 starI am a Walden alumni and returned for my post master's in PPMHNP and they have made one mistake after another. They put a hold on my financial aid because of a bursar hold for my Walden transcripts and I graduated with my MSN in 2015 then went back for my BSN which I got in 2018. They could find my ADN transcripts from 1995 but not my Walden transcripts. The different departments at Walden cannot contact each other per financial aid. The Meditrek and Castlebranch they use for practicums are a joke also. I have referred many of my friends to Walden and will never do that again. I will be transferring to another college as soon as I finish the class I am stuck in because it is too late to get a refund. After dealing with many issues through the field office to get my practicum site, I finally go approved on 1/3/23 for my site only to get another email today 1/6/23 stating my Meditrek approval was "rescinded due to a registration restriction on your account preventing course registration". I have spoke to many employees in enrollment, financial aid, and nursing field office and no one can fix this problem. DO NOT GO TO WALDEN UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!Review fromDr. D

1 starI am dumfounded. I had to drop out during ***** because I became homeless and could not afford to live off the little bit of student loans I received. Since then, I have obtained housing and employment. I thought I may finish my degree at Walden since I had only a couple of classes to finish, I believe. They refused to let me know where I was at during the program so that I could figure out a budget in order to finish my degree. I refuse to do any business with scammers like this. Avoid this toxic environment. All they are bloodsucking crooks.Dr. DWalden University, LLC

1 starVery disappointed to have been harassed for the last 6 years of my life due to a clerical error with Walden University. When my Twin pregnancy became more difficult I was aware of the withdrawal date and withdrew from the classes that I didn't even by books for. 6 weeks post partem I had withdrawn but they continued to bill me even though I made them aware I had to have an emergency appendectomy in September 2017 when my classes were due to start. Please avoid this college like the plague.Walden University, LLC

4 starsI finished my bachelors in nursing August 2021. My coach was awesome ( Shawn ****). He is not there anymore and I think if it weren't for his encouraging words I would have quit. The class are hard but doable once you know the expectations and format. The SME response was fairly quick. I was able to finish in a year while working. Overall my experience was great. I came from not attending school for 13 years, never did online, APA, power point, etc but I was able to navigate the work. Those of you in the program don't give up!Walden University, LLC
