Where do I start! This school has completely stressed my entire life out for starters! From the beginning i had issues with credits being applied and they finally decided to fix that however now a new issue! I’m sure the only response I will get is to contact student affairs in which I have done that already with no success! I’m currently enrolled in my capstone course and the instructor since the beginning has been nothing but stress! Graded week one and week two assignments at the end of week two, graded assignments supposedly according to the rubric however if that’s the case, the assignments are aligned with the rubric so I don’t quite understand how I answered the questions that were given and because it’s not what he would have posted apparently I was wrong. He is taking 5-7 points off of each discussion and assignments! Some of the people in this course in which is only four people are graduating! I still have 8 courses to take! I have had a 4.0 since starting and never an issue like this. My problem is I wonder why I would make all “A’s” in other courses by following the prompts that were given to me but miraculously in a course like this just do my worst. It doesn’t make sense to me! I have filed a grievance and also spoke to my advisor with instructions given to work it out with the instructor and that’s not working. I need to find the right person to investigate this! This is wrong! No one will assist me with this and it’s very devastating! As we all see, the school sends out the same response to every review stating contact student affairs! If they cared they would fix these issues! I am going to try and contact another department for help and if that doesn’t work I will find out how to contact the dean’s office. Someone needs to know about this. Instructors shouldn’t be allowed to go off of their perspectives as it relates to assignments. We are given prompts to follow and that’s what should matter. If i have satisfied the question given I did my part.

this school is a joke. sloppiness is a fair word to use. My preceptorpship has been cancelled and no one, no one, seems to know anything about why it was cancelled. They keep on transferring me from one department to the other. This is a very sorry school

Had a wonderful experience until I started receiving the hassles of getting credits for courses that i have taken. The acceleration degree employee has no clue of how i can receive my credits and i have sent my training file from my employer and was told today that it would not be acceptable as they are requesting the certificate. I had one employer send a letter head stating that i passed basic training and it says it on my training report however i am being taunted for this. I have had no issues until now. I just hope it can be fixed as i don’t want to spend 5 years in a program when i have almost 8 years of experience in the field. This is stressful. A student since i started and I have been feeling great about my career and work but this is stressful. I just want the credit for what i have completed. Not trying to get over on anyone.

Horrible university. I had doubts when I entered my program (MSN - PMHNP) but it was so convenient based on being online and having multiple start dates so I just went ahead with it. BAD IDEA. I would advise anyone to avoid this program at all costs. Imagine spending the nearly $50,000 for the program and then having to pay for several review courses (over $1,000 total) to actually learn content to prepare for the boards. I have been a straight-A student through undergrad and then with another master's degree program I completed and though I am still getting a 4.0 here, I have learned next to nothing. Instructors are difficult to communicate with and overall disinterested in teaching. There are no lectures, notes, Power Points, etc. for any courses. The courses with a midterm and final you do not get to see the results of your exams, you simply get a score. Every single exam I have taken has had multiple errors, which have affected the overall score (for example questions that have no correct answer listed or repeated questions or questions with every answer the same). Just very poor choice on my part to go against my better judgment and enroll, but by the time the worst of the issues came up I was already halfway through and couldn't afford to transfer universities at that time. I am a firm believer that you get out of your schooling what you put into it. Unfortunately at Walden, you are so severely limited on what you can get out of it that it's not worth it. My advice is look elsewhere. Do not waste your money here. University of North Dakota and other online programs are much more organized and student-friendly. Walden is simply interested in the money.

Walden's alleged core values are respect, trust, consideration, honesty, and cooperation. Yet my experience with Walden is the opposite. This past year, my mom got very ill, and, because of this, I received two Cs. According to Walden, receiving one C places you in an academic warning, and then receiving another puts you up for possible dismissal from the program. My advisor informed me that I would need to take two classes, which would be full-time status while working a full-time job to get in the right with Walden. If I received a C part-time two semesters in a row due to taking care of my mom, how would advising me to take two courses in one semester help me? I tried to voice my situation but there was zero consideration. I am very good at following directions, but this university's emails are beyond confusing. I received emails to complete forms, but there was no form attached. When reaching out to the financial department in my own portal with Walden, they had their own financial service number wrong, so I had to search the internet for the number. When you talk to an individual about your situation, the people you talk to cannot see your forms, so you trust that they will get your information correctly. They then transfer that to another member who can see your information and will only email back. Even when I asked for a call back, I never received it. When I asked for a supervisor to call me back within their 24-hour time frame- I never got it. I am a type one diabetic, and the stress that this university created caused my sugar and blood pressure to skyrocket. I had my father-in-law, who is an attorney, get involved. However, my family and I decided I should take a step back and rethink if this is really the University I'd want to hang a certificate in my office with its name on it. I am absolutely looking at switching to a university that will stand by the values that they stand on and one that I will be proud to say I attended.

I want to report to Walden's Financial Aid office as well. On 6/7/23, they informed me everything was fine and that my aid would disburse as planned on 6/8/23. Then when it didn't disburse, I called. They said your assistance is in two award years, 22/23 and 23/24, and you have to complete an endorser addendum and redo the master promissory note. They informed me of this need on 6/13/23, and I completed it. They still have a hold on my aid even though my portal shows my funds have been disbursed. This organization has a horrible financial aid office telling me multiple different stories. I have filed several complaints and asked to speak to a supervisor, and they say they are still waiting for someone to be available. I know the BBB would disagree with this process. A supervisor should always be available to talk to the customer. When a supervisor calls me, they leave a message with basic information, and if I still need help, I call back. Wait, I contacted you to file a complaint, and you still need a return number for me to call—horrible customer service. I demanded a supervisor call me today, and I want my aid released without delay. I checked with Fed Aid, and they confirmed everything was sent to Walden on 6/14/23, so Walden needs to release my funds ASAP.

Walden University is an excellent school for obtaining a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. They have a supportive faculty and staff to help you obtain your degree. Online education differs from bricks and mortars, requiring more discipline and time management skills. By connecting with faculty and colleagues within your degree program, your success rate becomes higher as you work collaboratively towards expanding your knowledge during your tenure at Walden University. It's not about how fast you complete your academic journey but how you pace yourself throughout your marathon that will enable you to finish success at the finish line.

I looked into Walden to get my Bachelors degree. I wasn’t sure how my credits would transfer. So I applied in a field that was somewhat desirable to me. I explained to them on the phone that I just needed to get a bachelors degree in what field it didn’t matter. My job will pay me double what I make now for the degree. So, I really wanted just to take the quickest route I could. They told me I had to apply to get an advisor and send all my transfer credits over. I did just that. Then I have been trying to reach them for well over a month. I have been applying at several schools and one school advised me I only needed 30 more credits to graduate. Walden is telling me I need 101 credits to graduate from a specific degree. I have contacted them repeatedly for the past month to see if there are any programs that would require less credits to graduate with no luck. I recently have been trying to withdraw and I am unable to do that as well. am now I have received a bill when class don’t start for another month and I have no desire to take the courses they have me signed up for. I am at the point now I just want to withdraw and move on. College has always been such a scam to me. This one especially.

This “university” is a way to scam a vulnerable population out of money. Disgusting customer services. Does not provide you with a degree or a way to achieve getting a degree. This “university” will lie about degree requirements to keep you in their programs longer so you have to pay them more money and come up with excuses as to why finical aid can’t be used. When you call them to resolve your bill they will hang up on you and tell you they will send you to collections.
