****** installed new windows for the whole home. Instead of improving energy efficiency, it got worse.I can feel the wind coming through the windows. and also, i measured the temperature through the seals where I feel air, it is 39 degrees vs 70 inside the home. temperature shouldn't drop by 20. I called for service. I guy came and I explained to him the situation with facts. he said that he is not an expert and somebody else will contact me and come to check the windows.Today, I'm surprise that a lady from ****** called me saying that everything is good with the windows and there is nothing they can do.Literally you can feel the wind coming from outside and these guys dont want to assume their responsibility and resolve the issue. this is a manufacturing defect, and I will take this to court.

As I stated before, no inspection has been done. ****** sent a guy. he just looked at the windows without detailed inspection. Then he told me that they will send me a technician to look at the windows in detail.I explained to him my concerns with facts and evidence. Air is coming through, and temperature is dropping by over 40 degrees in air leakage areas. I'm not saying something wrong with Windows but obviously, they have not been properly insulated.
Now I need an independent third party inspect the windows because I don't trust this company anymore. If I don't see any results, the next step would be to take the case to court, and I can defend it myself. Wondering how much will this cost Hanson

I had multiple windows installed on 08/31/23. Once they were installed, no one came and inspected the installation. I had to have them back immediately on the basement 3 slider window as one wouldn't work correctly. They fixed that. Then a couple of months after that - I noticed I could feel air coming in on the basement window. Someone did come out to check on it. They ended up getting clear silicone caulk to seal up the window. You could physically see where everything did not mesh up and there was a small gap between the window and the frame. Now I noticed the same thing with the bay windows they had also installed at the same time. You can feel the air coming in and see where the is a space/gap between the window and the frame. I call customer service yesterday and was informed they could come out but would charge me a $99 service fee for this. I asked to speak with a manager and the told me the same thing. I am not a window expert so did not know I should have checked all of this after the install. In my opinion, I should not be charged the $99 as this was due to them not installing them correctly of checking the seal around the window. I just want someone to come out and seal the window so I do not have the air coming in. I purchased the new windows and paid the money I did so that I would be saving money, not spending more due t o leak.

We had a free consultation with 1-800 Hansons about window replacements and bathroom remodel. Then we proceeded to get a loan and get both projects done. We were promised that our windows would be great and a much better upgrade. We were initially very happy with them but now with winter here, the windows are condensating so bad that they are growing mold and have ice chunks on the INSIDE of the windows. We were told this absolutely wont happen. Additionally with the bathroom the job didnt go as planned at all. It took over a month, someone ended up getting fired over the deal and I was told we would be sent a check. We were sent one check. And then more things went wrong and we were told we would get another check of $500. We have get to see that check and that was promised back in September of 2023. Now, of course, our new bathroom has leaked twice into our basement AND all the caulk that was placed in the shower is growing mold as well. As everyone is aware, the growing of mold from our bathroom and every window in our house places serious potential health issues for our entire family. I have attempted to reach out to the company for the check and I do not get a return phone call. I havent tried with the new issues that have arose because frankly, Im so disgusted with how everything played out prior to these new issues.

I am not sure what to do in that situation. When it states the a credit was issued for our windows, how was it issued? When was it issued? Was it sent as a check? Should we be seeing something in the mail? What something done with our loan? If so, no one contacted us. Additionally, I can submit a service request all day but what about previously mentioned issues with the bathroom, and now having more issues with the bathroom? Also, we were expecting partial reimbursement for that as well which has never been received. Additionally, I cannot get a hold of the guy that promised that reimbursement either. Please provide more information on all of the matters.

Bought a 3 pane replacement window. Was told before constuction of window it was to large to accomodate 3 panes..settled on 2 pane, with manager telling me it would have equivalent efficency. After initial install windows and svreens did not work properly. Installers came back out for adjustments..also at that time installers recommended new sliding sashes be built as originals were defective. Installed two new sashes ti window. Only to find out one of them was still defective...they send another new one, at this install it was discibered they sent wring one. During all this there is still a issue of the window frame itself moves when the wind blows. They sent the manufacturer out to assess. He told me it should of been built in a diffrrent configuration to make it sturdier. Window company now states thrre is nothing wting with the window or installation. Currently still waiting on new sash.

We installed 4 new windows and one door wall in 2022. When Hansons rep was originally selling us windows he stated it would be a three month wait. It ended up being over 6 months. They measured door wall incorrectly so they had to reorder the door and come back again. Second time they came back the door was wrong color. Windows were all scratched and had nail holes in them. They came to fix that third time. 4th time I called them was for air leak. Now is the fifth time I am calling them because they didnt install seal bulbs and air is leaking all through the house. Everyone I speak to states they charge $99 inspection fee. Why would you charge me inspection fee for something you never installed correctly? I had nothing but problems with this company.

they were to put siding on my house. We started the paper work in April. every 2 weeks they would text to say that it would be ready in 6 mo. In August they stopped texting for 2 months. They said the siding would arrive in October. On October 30, (Halloween) the siding was dropped off on my front yard. It was a windy day. Some of the plastic tore off and I put it in my garbage can. They were to start work on the 6th of Nov. It was raining in ********** , so they figured it was also raining in ****** I left a note on my door with instructions. They texted to say they would be there between *****, they never show. they texted the next day, same thing. When he show up, I ask if he had read the note. they would show pp at 10 leave at 11 for lunch and back at 1 and leave by 3. I never know when they would come.My main issue is that they broke the * bracket on the electric pole and I had an opening to run an extension cord outside. They made it too smalland crocked and no extension corc will go through it. They said the job was done even thought their ladders and stuff waas still there. they demanded payment before they would fix the 2 items.I paid and have had to call them 3 times to try to get them to fix the problem.

On Feb. 1st. there was a representative from ****** showed up. he wanted to know if everything was ok. I told him that I believed that he was there to fix the two problems. He said that he was not.he was just there to see if everything was ok. he did not have to tools to fix the two problems. he said that he needed to take pictures of the problems . I told him that I had already texted him pictures of the problems. I told him that I had taken a day off work to make sure that the problems was solved. He told me that I didn't have to do that. I told him that I wanted to make sure that the problems were fixed properly. he set the date of Feb. 9th. they called at 8a.m. to say that they couldn't make it. they would come on Feb. 23 instead. I will see what tomorrow brings. they also offered me a $300 credit card for my time off from work. It came as a e-card in my daughter's e-mail not mine. I called them to see if they could send me a physical card and was told that was not their policy. because of all the stress , I went into Afib(stroke) on Sat. Feb.10th.

A person came out on Feb. 1st. he ask if everything was ok.I informed him that the * bracket needed to be put on the electrical poles on my house and that an opening for an extension cord need to be widen. He said that he did not caome to fix the problem only to find out what the problems were. he said that he need to take pictures of the problems. Contacted ****** about a new roof needed for my home. ******** came out in June with an estimate and again and July 24, 2023. The cost was to be discounted if I accepted within 3 days, I am 77 yrs old and felt pressure as I wanted to get an additional estimate but was told that I needed to sign to receive the discount. The work order was signed on July 24th to receive the discount and made a down payment of $8754.00 to secure the deal. Work started in August and completed in a day and a half and the crew left without letting me know. My son came over to examine the work and found that rolled roofing was used and it was supposed to be all shingles, when the trim was taken off, the siding was torn in multiple places, the flashing on the chiminey was incorrect, did not raplace the facia correct and the downspouts were left hanging. The crew left wires for the heated gutters hanging. I attempted to work with the company and they had someone come out and walk through and look at the work and he would go back to the office and make an additional work order, I was told that if the siding could not be fixed, money would be deducted from the balance owed. Supplies were ordered and work began to fix the rolled roofing; however, the siding was never repaired and they could not repair as it was not their issue. I have tried multiple times to work with them on the balance owed in the amount of $17,000 to no avail, I just want my siding fixed, I am a 77 yr old widow and willing to pay my debt but they are not willing to work with me. I felt pressure signing the contract in the first place. I just want the siding fixed as they are the ones who destroyed it.

I have had nothing but trounle. The complaint I want to file with the BBB is in regards to my patios door. I had a perfectly working door. The sales representation told me I needed to replace the door with their "more energy efficient door." I showed him to dog door panel that was present and told him the door needed to accomidate that. He assured me that the new door would allow for the dor door panel. When the door finally came( after they had to reorder it), it did not accomidate the dor door. I bought a new door door to ry to fix the problem. WHen it became codl out, it became evident that there was a nearly one inch gap between the sliding glass doors that wind, air, and cold blew through. My living room was 60 degrees when the house heat was set at 70. I notified ******** and they sent a service representative out. Their response to me was that "this is your problem" and they would not fix it. I now have an expensive sliding glass door that will not seal. I have temporarily solved it by putting foam in the crack. I believe that ******** should be responsibile for this problem as I told the sales rep that I used a dog door and he assured me that the new door would accomidate that and be "more energy efficient." Instead I got a one inch direct communication with the out of doors between the sliders.Possible solutions include refunding my money, replacing the curren tdoor wiht a ******** product that will seal, or ******** paying for me to **** someone to install a dog door in the adjacent wall of my house.

Several weeks ago i ordered a sliding glass door from 1 800 Hansons, and applied for credit to purchase it. After thinking about it for a few weeks, we decided that we could not afford the window, and did n ot want to put the window on credit, so called 1 800 Hansons to cancel the order. They are telling me that it can not be cancelled because the the door is made and going to be delivered in 6 weeks. I informed them that I got an email this morning saying it was still 8 - 10 weeks before it would be installed. When I tried to speak to someone about it, they did nothing but argue with me about the email and refused to let me speak to a manager, so I called back and asked to speak to a manager directly. After waiting for nearly 15 minutes, a different employee also told me I could not cancel it, and instead of trying to find a solution, just started threatening me. I do not have the money to buy a $6000 window, and never signed any paperwork from the loan company, so I am not sure why i can not cancel my order, especially if is is still 10 weeks before the time it is supposed to be done and installed. No one ever told me when we ordered the window, that I could not cancel the or I would have never ordered it that day. Please help

First of all they took over 15 months to complete the project. 1st issue.They also removed the siding off of my house when they were supposed to do the detached garage. They did correct the house. Then they put the wrong size of siding on the garage. They told me they will not fix it because I received new siding on my house. There was nothing wrong with the house and I feel I had a better product prior to the mistake.2nd issue.They installed the rain gutters to where the water will not drain.3rd issue Removed all light fixtures and didn't reinstall. Now they are missing.4th issue.They damaged the new windows during the siding install.5th issue.They would schedule days and not show up or call. I have multiple missed days from work witch cost me thousands.
