I purchased a new roof through hansons and when it was completed, they asked if it looked good. I stated yes. Only to find out that my gutters are completely clogged with roofing debris and my gutter guards are damaged in areas. I own a two story home with no means to reach the gutters on that section. There warranty for service is not holding true. They told me they are not going to remedy the situation.Business Response

Shed **** replacement, scheduled for Monday, June 19th & expect the crew to arrive between ****. Woke up to my Ring Doorbell going off around 7am. 5 men were there. Asks me about the ******************** not being there & told him I have no idea. Said he'd call his boss & see what's going on. Get a call from scheduling & told materials should be delivered on Wednesday, 21st. Wednesday morning, I hear my motion notification going off alot. See someone walking around the now dropped off **************** myself together to see why someone is creeping around my yard. I go outside & theres one man with his van ****** out front. He asked me about my service but asked me if I booked through a different company. I asked, do you mean Hansons? & tell him that the materials havent been dropped off yet. He said he'd call his boss & see what's going on, but that he may be able to get started. He eventually set up his ladder in the backyard & proceeded to lean on the ladder, scroll on his phone, & hit a weed pen. (I know the difference between a nicotine & a weed pen. I don't judge him too harshly, but I think it's very unprofessional)Materials eventually got delivered & once the roofs underlayment was exposed, I could see rotten wood. I stopped him when nailing plywood down & called the company on why materials are not here for those rotten spots that need replacing; & was told that they don't do that. No remedy for the situation.He pulled off the drip edge & the rotten wood became 100x worse. The installer said he'd fix it on the side b/c they werent getting back in touch. I kept calling & they said theyll reach out to him and he'll fix it because it is very damaged now.He said hed be back "at 8-8:30, maybe". & left materials in my front yard that I moved around back to not get stolen. + I noticed the wood was bowed.I look online and see there's a 40% off Summer ******* that I was not offered to begin with , or even as reconciliation for how awful this experience has been.Business Response

This business handled this whole situation unprofessionally and with complete lack of care. The charges that I am subject to are not worth the work that was done. I don't believe there is any practice in place for these installers to be doing consistent and well manufactured work. The roof on my shed is still bowed and looks very sloppy. This large company can continue to operate yet only produces mediocre work with no care on customer service and satisfaction. They move as quickly as possible, tell you that you don't need to be home for installation so you can't document the terrible job they do, and try to close your sale without any consideration on what the customer is truly paying for. I also let the company know that my installer was smoking a marijuana vape pen on my property at the beginning of installation and they did not care about this illegal safety issue. There are so many other instances during this fiasco that I cannot fit into the allotted time to type out, so I will attach the documentation I was able to get during my installation to show how unprofessional and unsafe this company is.At the time of my installation, there was a 40% off ************** discount that was not applied to my overall service. I was able toget that promotion on the extra materials that were needed, but not to my overall service. I do not understand why the company would give that offer to anyone else booking with them the same day I received my service but refused to apply that to my total service. The 40% off my total would be a more fair price range for the service I actually received. The company should also send an outside professional to inspect the work they provided to get further documentation that the work that they are providing and charging for is completely inadequate and should be illegal. Not only can you see the bowing from the outside of the shed, but the inside looks like it was done by someone unlicensed with no knowledge of rebuilding a sound structure. I still do not understand why their sales reps do not provide a closure inspection during their consultations to understand the full scope of a project so their installation team is truly prepared and knowledgeable for the work their about to take on.

******** was out last Thursday June 15 2023. She was here almost 2 hrs. Gutters roofing siding windows. She said she would have estimates by Friday, the next day. I told her Monday was OK too. Never heard anything back. Called today Wednesday Jun 21, 2023. Call her now she said no to siding and roofing work per her boss. Said she had "Family emergency" which I believe is untrue. Then she sent me an email estimate/quote for almost $18,000 for cheapo btw aluminum gutters on my modest home. AND another almost $18,000 quote for 2 windows in white, not even beige/almond to match my home. Is this a joke? I'm an influencer and will warn others to not bother with 1800HANSONS!!! We ordered windows a couple months ago they called to schedule an install when they came in. Install was suppose to be 6/16 between 8 and 10 am. They called shortly after 9:30 and said they will not be coming at all. I already missed a day unpaid from work so I spoke to a manager and he said he would reimburse me my lost wages and would call me on 6/20 to discuss further. Called him twice with no answer or call back. I rescheduled install to 6/21 between 8 and 10. At 10:30 they still werent here so i called the office and they said window guys havent even checked in with them either and that the manager would be in contact with me. I called manager twice with no answer or call back. I yet again missed another day of unpaid work. I just want my 2 days of work wages reimbursed via check and have them come do the job or reimburse my lost wages and cancel my order completely with no chargesBusiness Response

Purchased triple pane windows for entire home but 2 windows was received double pane instead. Placed another order and same thing. Also, purchased window ***** for entire house and 2 did not get installed but work order shows installed. One track in the bedroom window is loose. They did however fix the window screen size because I was getting bugs in the house but that was reluctant. After telling them I wanted my old windows back they managed to order a different size screen and it fits perfectly. Overall very sloppy job was done because one window wasn't caulked all of the way. They was supposed to put drywall and mud one time at window that I had changed from a door. They only put a strip of drywall tape on one side. *** basically had to fix all of the windows on my 1st service call. Now I'm at my 3rd service call with the same windows not right. I beleive if I would of signed off on financing, I would be having an even worst time with them. I want my windows the way I ordered them or they need to give me a refund for those windows and ***** that they can't do within the next 30 days. I have not heard back from ****** and I sent them an email stating my complaints and no call. ***** the salesperson told me that the BBB ratings was inaccurate but they are true. Sales is wonderful and install/products is horrible. Check your windows if you bought anything but single pane. Communication is key when $16k is looming and I have only one window that is ok.

I hired Hansons in June2022 to reside my home in ***********, **. We gave a 50 per cent down payment and agreed to pay the balance when completed. They reported completion Jan 2023. We are snow birds and were in ****** at the time. When we arrived back in April it was discovered that the job had only been partially completed and some panels had also fallen off. Further panels were damaged as a result. I immediately called the contractor on a Wed. Another representative called on the Friday before Easter and said ihe issues would be addressed on the followong Monday. This did not occur and several weeks later I called again to see why there was a delay. I was referred to a scheduling **** and was given a date several weeks later. The day before the appt they called and said I needed to reschedule because they were working on another job. I was rescheduled for a week later. When this date arrived they called once again and said the weather required another reschedule for the next week. A crew showed up but after inspecting the issue they said they needed to order parts and would be back in 1 week. This was over 1 month ago and subseuent calls to scheduling has not revealed a new appointment date. Their TV ads suggest a lifetime warranty but they apparently mean it will take your lifetime to get it!!Business Response

Estimate was beginning of May. Roof installation was end of May. Never received signed contract for material, labor despite asking for one. Sold a roof package based on more square than actual roof size. Charged for material not used based on oversize estimate. Lied to by company when questioned about charges for material and install irregularities. Do not know if discounts were applied because they will not send a contract. Despite having 2 years no payment deal, finance company attempted to withdrawal full amount 1 week after roof was completed. Some other issues were resolved but only because I was already paying an inflated price. The company has not been forthright and honest to me from the beginning. We had siding and gutters installed last year. We noticed some damage on the siding in the back due to something falling on the siding during the winter and there is some damage around the garage doors. I submitted a service request with hansons they said there would be a charge. I inquired about the Lifetime Guarantee and they said it was not because it was not a hansons issue. This is not what we were lead to believe when purchasing the siding and gutters. I believe the example provided to us was if we were mowing and a rock went through Hansons would repair it. I believe we also followed up with more examples and at each turn the response was was covered under the Lifetime Guarantee. This is a perfect example of UDAP fron FTC for deceptive sales practices.Business Response

Property damage should be covered by the home insurance .
The contract does not provide for damage caused by storm/abuse/.
The product installed is not defective.

Representatives of this company have been to my home as many as 7 to 8 times this year to complete a new siding job. !st, the wrong material was ordered to complete the job. From that time forward, multiple different crews were sent out to complete the job and repair the mistakes that were made by some of the other crews. They left gaps in my siding and the wrap around my windows is letting loose. I have text messages going back to March that my work would be completed but I keep being mislead by being told it will be a couple more weeks. The sales man that came to my house from 1800hansons gave me a quote for a new roof and gutters for my house , attached garage and separate garage on the property. The main reason for me wanting to do this project is because my separate garage has a small leak so I wanted that roof fixed asap. The sales man ****** assured me several times that the house, attached garage and separate garage would be done for roughly ******. They charged me the full amount mentioned and didn't do my separate garage. They said that it wasn't part of the contract. I called them and they assured me it would be done then on day two of the roof install to the house I talked to the crue and they informed me that hasons told them to not do the installation on the Separate garage because it wasn't in the contract. I called them once again and the sales man lied and said that the separate garage was never part of the deal. They said I would have to pay an extra ***** dollars to get the garage done. I said absolutely not. If I new that it wasn't included in the price for ****** I would have never gone with hansons. When the crue came out to do my gutters they said ****** the sales man measured wrong and they didn't have enough material to do the job. So the crue contacted hansons and told them about the issue. The gutter crue has said that this isn't the first time this has happened with ******. They did end up finishing my gutters and roof on the house and attached garage but still will not do the separate garage roof installation unless I pay them more money. The manager i spoke with about the issue was very **** a sort with me and so was ****** the sales man. I just want what ****** promised me when he came over to give me a quote. I didn't even get a copy of the contract from ******. He seemed like a decent guy when he was doing his sales pitch. I guess I'm just an old fashioned guy who takes people for there word. I see now I can't trust anyone when it comes to sales. The question I brought up was if ****** measured the gutters wrong who's to say he didn't s**** up when measuring the separate garage and fuged the paperwork to cover his s**** up. I guess we will never know. Just very disappointed in 1800 Hansons. My wife is also a witness to everything that was promised in the install deal. They have truly made me not want trust anybody anymore. Sad !!!!!!! The sales agreement was done i do believe early may or late April. They just did my installation of the house roof , attached garage last week. June 1st and 2nd. My gutters were completed Tuesday June 6th.Business Response
