They came out for a warranty call on a new Generac They found a factory defect in the unit and plugged a wire in. They contacted the electrician I used looking to collect rather than submitting it for warranty. They did not contact me. I contacted them they told me that Generac warranties "sucked" and they felt it was a waste of time submit it, Generac advised me to get an invoice and that they would handle it. I asked Platz for the invoice and it never arrived. I still wanted someone to call if I had problems in the future. I called them to see if they could put me on their customer list. They sent me a Service contract to sign Which I did and sent it back to them.They lost the contract. I sent them another one to which I received no response. More than a year passed. I contacted them again to find out what was going on. They said that they couldn't find the signed contract. I have record of this communication. I sent them a picture of a copy of the signed contract that I had saved in case they "lost" it again. Suddenly they said they found it amongst some other files. I was irritated but fine with it as long as they were coming to service the unit. They told me that I was now on their list. Time past and I heard nothing. I contacted them again via text to inquire as to when I would receive a service call. I explained that the generator was operating fine but it had a yellow light on. They said that it just a reminder for the technician to check the battery. They said that my service call would occur in the week beginning October 22, 2023. The week passed and they did not show. I informed them that their service was no longer required. I had electricians at my house for work. They checked the unit and it was fine. I called them today and asked them if they had read my text telling them not to come. They didn't The discussion got heated with the associate basically calling me and my wife liars. She used some vulgar language during this exchange. STAY AWAY!
