We rented a scooter from this company for our family trip to REMOVED. We were told the scooter would last 16 hours. We used it to go 10 feet to the shuttle and then another 10 yards to the ferry. 20 minutes into walking around REMOVED, the scooter was already beeping. We had to find a place to charge it within the first hour of our trip. My dad sat and charged his scooter instead of being able to go into the fort with us. He could not use it for more than 25 minutes without having to stop and charge it. He missed out on most of the sites while on the island because he has to charge this faulty scooter. When we got home, we charged it overnight in anticipation for our beach trip the next day. We walked starting from the harbor and made it about 15 minutes before he had to stop and charge it. Unfortunately, he could not even make it to the lighthouse since there was nowhere to charge his scooter. We returned the scooter and this company denied us any refund. My dad missed out on most of the adventures we had planned because of this faulty scooter. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company for rental options.

The scooter in question was inspected upon return and determined to be in normal working condition. The battery received a charge and maintained the charge for the normal amount of time. It was determined that the user adjustable speed control was set at the lowest available setting and the tone stated by the customer was notification that it was set at the lowest power setting available. It could be compared to driving your car around at idle, it would not have enough power to climb any incline. There is no tone that sounds to indicate battery level, just a battery indicator gauge, much like a "gas" gauge. The scooter has been rented to subsequent customers with no complaints or operating problems. We do maintain a 24/7 emergency service and the on-call technician never received any calls from this customer regarding any issues with the scooter.

Our company also is not a member of the BBB.
