On 3/24/22 I brought my truck to accurate engines for a complete engine rebuild and I have had to return to them for engine blowing white smoke I had engine exact manifolds done and they have been leaking from day one no solution for that they took my vehicle after waiting for 2 weeks to get it in under my warranty and 2 weeks in she tells me later next week it would be done well I was patient and called 10 days later she referred me to ***** a mechanic I assume he had not even started to work and refused to service my truck saying I had no warranty when it's been there at least 2 to 3 times and I'm still getting white smoke burning a quart of oil between changes and he said get it out of hereBusiness Response

Customer never turned in their warranty, therefore it is not covered under warranty. The vehicle is also in such bad shape we are concerned about touching this vehicle at this time. All the tires are deflated, windows are broken out, there are hangers trying to hold things together inside. We have asked the customer to pick up and have been in touch with the customer. Customer refuses to come and pick it up.Business Response

We bought a remanufactured engine and had it shipped and installed. After driving it 690 miles the check engine light came on We were on a cross country trip so we called a diesel shop to have it looked at After inspection they discovered a lifter was bad on it We called accurate since it had a warranty and they informed us they wouldnt help us. They want us to pull the engine, ship it back and then they will decide. After the conversation it was already clear they would find something wrong that they wouldnt cover the engine The diesel shop will charge thousands to pull it so now the debt because of their mistake will be astronomical DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY THEIR WARRANTY MEANS NOTHINGBusiness Response

We talked to you on the phone on 2/18/2025 and we are more then willing to help you. We said all you need to do is pull the engine and send it back. We also told you we would pay R&R under your warranty terms and conditions. You asked us to pay your tech before we even know what is wrong. We also told you that we would do a fast turn around for you. Your warranty needs the engine back to see if we can repair it or if it will need a new block. Please let us know if you are willing to let us help you.Initial Complaint

I purchased a diesel engine from this company via phone June 24 of 2024. The engine was shipped to ************* in ******, *** and my old engine was shipped back for the core charge. The rebuilt engine was installed in Oct at their shop. The engine ran in the truck for approximately 1-2 hours at idle speeds to check and bleed fuel and cooling systems etc.. The truck was driven by the mechanic approximately 3 (three) miles on October 21st, 2024 and developed an engine noise. The truck was pulled back to C&K and after further inspection the oil filter was cut open and showing metal filings. Accurate engine was contacted and gave C&K Equipment specific instructions on how to ship it back. Tracking shows that Accurate engines received my engine there on November 15th of 2024. After many phone calls, e-mails and text messages I have no information or deadline for a replacement engine. I have also asked for a refund to no avail. Accurate engines did send a check to me for the core charge. The last e-mail I received said that they are refusing a refund and are waiting for an "inspector". They will not tell me who or where this inspector is from. This vehicle is a 2010 **** F-350 for my business and personal use. I had to leave many new and used parts on the engine when it was sent back at their request. I have approximately $11000.00 invested in the engine sent back and now have no core to send to a different company and or the new parts still on my engine at Accurate Engines. I would need those part back to even install another new or used engine. I have had no vehicle to drive since July of 2024 and am hiring people to pickup and deliver things for my farm here in Southern, **.. I have also paid all the labor out of pocket on this project.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have been told at least 10 times they are checking on my engine. I was told on December 17 of 2024 they were trying to ship my repaired engine back to me by the following Friday. December 27th 2024 I was told the block was bad and my engine would ship the following week. I was informed at a later date that they had been checking on the wrong engine this entire time. January 21st 2025. Shop is backed up my engine has not been taken apart. These are just a few messages of many e-mails and texts. The engine was sent back to warranty with many new parts left on at the request of Accurate Engines. We have those e-mails as well. I can not afford this down time with this vehicle. I can not afford in the future to be without a vehicle 6 months every time the engine goes down or has a warranty problem. This engine failed on the test drive by the mechanic. I never drove the vehicle. This company has a proven track record on BBB , online court records and posted You Tube videos of early engine failure. Reference is being made to an insurance inspector looking at this engine. My engine failure is not being covered. It has nothing to do with Accurate Engines receiving money from their builders insurance. I do not want a low quality engine and I do not want to be in business, warranty wise, with this company. I propose and have asked via e-mail to be refunded for my engine and I will pay the shipping back for my new and small parts left on the engine. Oil pan, harmonic balancer, rocker boxes and bolts, valve covers and bolts, fuel injectors and cross over tubes, wire loom, glow plugs and water pump housing. If I do not get these parts it will cost greatly to replace them as well as add more core charges with another company. The bill on installing and taking back out the engine in question was approximately $3800.00 I have already paid that and will not pursue any of this at this time if the refund is given. Accurate engine can stand the $250 shipping charge back to their company and keep the long block including heads for their own use. I was charged $8001.00 for the long block and cam. That is the amount, $8001.00 , I am asking with my parts shipped back to me in good condition and well packed. If this matter needs to be settled in circuit court then all these other costs will be considered as well as how it has and is impacting me financially. I would think it in both our best interests to be done with this quickly.
Sincerely,
***** **********Initial Complaint

We have texted the customer and have asked for him to provide a picture of the boxes for the gaskets. He provided us with two gasket numbers, one of them is correct, but the other one we cannot get our hands on. In regards to the core refund the the core department is mailing his check out to him in the very next round of checks to go out. He should receive the core check to the address on file around the middle of January. Could the customer please send us pictures of the gasket boxes?Customer Answer

WE talked to the customer on January 7, 2025. We have tried to help the customer. We need the engine here for inspection per the customer third party warranty. He said they will not send the engine back to us for inspection, because no where in the warranty does it state the engine has to come back to us. The phasers that are in the vehicle are directly from ****, so we would need the engine back here so we are able to warranty those, and make sure there is no other damage to the engine that will need to be repaired or if the engine needs a block replacement, per third party warranty. They will determine this during inspection of the engine. We have told the customer several time that we will scheduled the pick up and as soon as the engine gets here we will have the third party warranty inspected and ship the engine back to him once repairs are done. WE have also stated that the third party warranty only pays so much money and the phaser repair his shop is asking for is too high for the third party warranty to cover everything, without their inspection. We have been in contact with this customer via text messages and phone calls. We have talked with this customer on December 3rd and the 31st. As well as in January on the 2nd and 7th, to where we told the customer that the repair was not approved through his third party warranty and warranty request the engine here for the repair to be done in the best way possible and cheapest for customer. We are only looking to help and would love the customer to give us a call so we can set up the pick up for the engine. We will make the turn around of the engine as fast as possible. We have also told the customer the third party warranty only pays $55.00 per hour per ******** for removal and reinstallation of the engine and we would try to get it approved for $75.00 per hour for the customer, in order to keep his costs lower. Customer has refused.Customer Answer

Accurate engines does not guarantee the repair will be covered they also state I must pay 500$ shipping to get my motor back they have hundreds of complaints online about their very slow turn around time my sales agreement stated I would be refunded my core charge within 30 days of them receiving the core they have had the core for 4 months and I have yet to recieved my refund they promised the motor came with a water pump which they failed to send and there was a broken bolt in the head they told me to fix the warranty does not say I must send the motor back only the defective parts I am aware of what the warranty says they pay for labor but they are refusing to pay the discounted labor or parts every phone call with them they have been extremely rude and unhelpful

I purchased a remanufactured engine from Accurate Engines on 8/1/2023 invoice #*****. It has a limited engine warranty ******* mi/36 months. It was installed the first time on 9/13/23, I drove it 333 miles and found antifreeze in the oil/engine knocking. Accurate had engine picked up 11/28 for repair; when the next engine was installed 3/13/24, I drove it 638 miles the same issue developed.7/18/24 Accurate Engines picked up for repair. 7/30/24 Accurate called said engine is ready but there would be a $500 towing fee to ship it to me. I drove 416 miles & picked it up (833 mi rd trip)$250 cost. 9/26/24 had engine installed the 3rd time, drove it 2 miles the same issue antifreeze in oil and engine knocking. Accurate Engines had it picked up on 10/24/24. I emailed them 11/29/24 to see if anybody could help with this engine problem. They emailed back 12/2/24 and said they would look into it and get back with ***** of now 1/2/2025 I have not heard back from anyone at Accurate Engines. I feel that they are unable to provide me with a good engine. This vehicle has not been driveable for 17 months and I have no engine now. I feel I have been patient with very little communication on their part. I would like my money i paid for the engine, and money i had to paid for Engine 2 and 3 for removal and installation, Which i would not of had to pay if i would of gotten a good engine to start with. The cost to me for removal and installations on 2 & 3 is $1273.43 making the total refund as I have no engine $4657.43.Business Response

I purchased a ******************** from this firm and from the time of installation it was exhibiting "Blowby" to which we followed the directions from the business. It got worse, we sent videos, and it was decided that we had to remove the engine from my truck and ship it back to the plant. That was done in June of 2024 and we have been begging for a replacement since then. We have been told multiple times "by weeks end" and at one point they said the motor was ready to ship back and I had to pay $ ****** to make it happen. I paid the money even though I personally didn't agree it wasn't right but the motor is that important...The Motor never shipped. We sent a demand letter in October 2024 and there hasn't been communication since.I have to pay the mechanic shop another $ ******** to Receive another engine and assemble the parts on the long block and Install it in my truck. I have been warned that my New Injectors and HPOP have been sitting for over six months exposed to the elements which represent another $ ******** in potential exposure and there is all the miscellaneous products such as oil, filters, and other fluids that add up quickly I will Lose Money due to the failure and misrepresentation of the firm not to mention my mental stresses of being manipulated for months with false promisesCustomer Answer

Team,
This is reaching 31 weeks and I do not have use of my vehicle and cannot move forward. The truck still requires ************** per the State of ********* and still costs me monthly not to mention the limited use of my vehicle when we were going through the complaints process prior to removing the engine. This has deep financial impacts and since we sent the 30-day notice back in October, we have not heard from anyone at this firm again!
We have videos, communications, and professional feedback as to the condition of the ******************** received.
Just wanted to touch base as this is coming up on its 4th week since reported

I have been told multiple times that next week a motor will be sent out and at one point the motor at the time failed before being mounted to the crate.
How will the Quality Control be different as this Engine Replacement Process is anywhere from 4 to $ ******** especially when the truck has to be partially reassembled and pushed out in the lot.
I need a reliable engine that will be a turnkey ready for years of service product and this statement delivered says they couldn't find an engine BUT didn't say that and Did Not offer a refund for the purchase and labor expenses

I had an oil leak on the left side of my engine. I found my warranty and it said that oil and coolant leaks were covered by warranty. So I took my pickup back to my mechanic (the one who installed the engine) and he found that the valve cover gasket was bad. I called the warranty people and they said they did not cover valve cover gaskets. What the hell?Business Response
Date: 12/10/2024
We do not install valve covers, so this is not a coverable item. Nor are valve covers covered under warranty. ***** covers are not an internal engine component.Customer Answer
Date: 12/10/2024
My warranty clearly states (line 12) oil and coolant leaks will be covered for 24 months or ****** miles, whichever comes first. The aforementioned engine was sent back to the manufacturer for low compression on the number one cylinder. Therefore the rebuilder (accurate engines) would have had to remove the valve cover to do a compression test. So due to the poor quality workmanship my engine has a leaky valve cover. Rebuilder needs to be forthcoming and stop making rules up regarding warranty.Initial Complaint

Ordered an engine from *** in October of 2023 after they told me they had it in stock. Then they stopped answering phone calls and emails and never sent me any shipping info. Finally spoke to ***** in January and got one shipped. I received the engine 3 months after I ordered it on January 18th 2024. My mechanic installed it the following week and said it had a misfire in cylinder number 3 so the head needed to be replaced. He called and sent text messages to Accurate Engines for about a month or two before someone finally got back to him. He told them what was going on and that hed fix it if they would pay for the repairs. They insisted that I ship the engine back to them so they could look at it. I didnt hear anything from them for a couple months and then they called my mechanic to tell them that it was my injectors and not their engine. Now theyre saying its going to cost me another $3000 to get it back because they repaired the injectors without ever asking me. I should only be being charged for the shipping because I didnt authorize any repairs from them except for what is covered under warranty. It has now been 14 months since *** had my truck and I still dont have an engine back. When I spoke with them today via text because they wont talk to me on the phone they said I needed to send the engine back to them for repairs, but I sent it to them months ago and now theyve supposedly already repaired it. Im not sure whats going on over there, but Im $15,000 down and still dont have a vehicle and still have to pay for shipping again and another $2500-$3000 to my mechanic to reinstall the engine if I ever get it back. I have been ignored and lied too for over a year by this business and Im not sure how to proceed with them. My suspicion is that it was their fault and they had me send it back so they could make up something else that was wrong so that they wont have to cover it under warranty. Thats how it seems to me.Business Response

Invoice date: 7/1/2024 Invoice ***** Engine ordered and delivered as agreed upon. Core sent back promptly and was supposed to be issued $500.00 for the refundable core deposit. After a month of not seeing this (as the invoice shows that "once core is returned, a credit will be processed within 30 days back to the card used"). On Sept 9, 2024, I phoned ******** who was very nice and shared that they changed system and check would be mailed instead, that they were running behind, she would put in for a priority and check would be mailed mid-October. Oct. 23, 2024, I phoned ******** again who was quick in phoning me back, and said the exact same thing...they were running about 45 days behind and she would again put a priority on it but this time had no idea when they may get the check mailed out. She also added that she has other customers who are waiting and it's been longer than mine. I told her that was not at all encouraging!! This is terrible! This is UNACCEPTABLE and I cannot image telling a customer that. $500 is allot, especially now a days. We purchased this from them with the understanding, and as stated on the invoice, this would be refunded back to us within 30 days. We are far beyond 30 days. I am fine with it being in form of a check, or if it was by card, but I just want it back as advertised and promised. I don't appreciate the run-around and empty statement that it would be sent....well, when??? It's exceeded your advertised terms on your invoice! A business should not be able to put out and tell customers something that isn't truthful. If it was going to be 3, 4, 5 months, than it shoud've stated that. We would greatly appreciate the return of our $500!!! To some people, that's allot of money that we could use that is rightfully ours!! Please refund this back to us.Business Response

We did fix this customers engine at no charge to the customer. Customers original complaint was that the engine was making noise, we asked that the customer bring the engine here for us to fix. We had ****** look at the engine on 8/27/2024. ****** found that rods were spun and the sheet metal installed was dirty, including the front cover, and oil pump. The issues were caused by installation issues. We replaced the crank shaft, a rod, put in a new oil pump kit, and the gaskets needed to complete the job. We fixed the engine for free. Per the warranty, internal engine components were fixed, but this does not include the external engine components. External engine components include parts like the spark plugs, thermostat, water pump. The spark plugs are never plugged on any of our engines. If the customer is unhappy with the engine still, after we fixed, he is more than welcome to reach out to us at ************ and we will go over everything with him. We do ask that the customer does reach out to us before filing a complaint.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
