On April 18th, a remanufactured engine was purchased from Accurate Engines in **********, **, for $4,123.86 to be installed in a 2006 Chrysler 300C. The engine was initially received on May 16th and subsequently returned due to a blown head gasket. Following repairs, the engine was returned on June 20th. After reinstallation, a rear main seal leak was identified. I was instructed to have the seal replaced by their mechanic and submit the replaced seal and repair invoice for warranty reimbursement. As of August 6th, the mechanic has reported the presence of metal debris in the engine, a missing crankshaft bolt, and significant rust. The customer has maintained communication with the company via over 60 emails and provided photographic evidence. Furthermore, the engine core refund and warranty claim reimbursement remain outstanding..

I purchased an engine from Accurate Engines maybe January in 2025 and then in April 2025 that engine failed under warranty. Per the warranty terms, I was entitled to reimbursement for the long block engine, I paid $ ******** for the long block and approximately ******* total with labor and additional work. After months of back and forth with this company and multiple follow **** i received a check for only $730, which was unsigned. When I contacted the company, one of their employees ********, told us to just sign the check ourselves. This is highly unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I was later told that a request for additional reimbursement had been submitted through the warranty, but I never received a proper explanation , any signed reimbursement or clear update. Even after contacting the company's owner directly and forwarding the full email chain, I've received no response or resolution. I am requesting a signed check covering everything at this point.

After reading over 70 complaints on the Better Business Bureau sitewith very few customers satisfied by the resolutionsI have low expectations, but I feel obligated to share my experience. On October 6, 2023, after several calls and emails, I purchased an engine from Accurate Engines for $4,084.00, including a $100 military discount and a $500 core charge (promised to be fully refunded). After installation, I returned the core but had to follow up multiple times to receive only $400. The company claimed the crankshaft was damagedironically, the reason I bought a replacement engine in the first place. This essentially nullified the military discount and raised questions about their zero-mile engine claim. After installation, the engine made a ticking noise. My certified mechanic couldnt identify the cause. I contacted Accurate Engines and was told by their chief mechanic it was likely a stuck valve and that driving it would resolve the issue. I followed all required maintenance, including oil changes, but after ***** miles the noise remained. I contacted the company multiple times with no ************* ****** miles, my check engine light came on. The code was P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire. I replaced the plugs and coil, but the issue persisted. A ***** dealership diagnosed failed right-side lifters. The repair estimate was $2,706.62, including $1,014.97 in parts and $1,364.65 in labor.I submitted a warranty claim, which was denied. The company offered to repair the engine if I removed and shipped it back to ********** my own costand promised only $55/hour for labor, no shipping covered. This is not feasible. All I am requesting is reimbursement for the dealerships parts ($1,014.97) and labor (7 hours @ $55 = $385), totaling $1,399.97. I believe this is a fair resolution and urge Accurate Engines to honor its warranty and support the customer fairly.

Ordered replacement engine on 3/12. I was told it would ship within 3-5 business days. Engine arrived mid May, yes almost two months. I was told everything from its shipping tomorrow to we are short staffed. The supplied engine lasted less than 200 miles! Removed defective engine and shipped it back. Now it been over a month, on June 30th it had to be completed torn down, cleaned, repaired and reassembled, which initially took almost 2 months!!! Now they are refusing to warranty the repair, or send an itemized invoice. I have already asked for them to refund my initial purchase of $4914.70 and they flat out refused. This has been the worst experience ever with any company hands down.

    Business Response

Customer has been informed that the engine is ready to ship and the repair cost is $600.00 and warranty never covers freight, which is $498.00. We are more then willing to ship this immediately when payment is made. The reason we had to replace crank is because the customer reused his old cooler and we recommend not doing that because it brings debris into the engine. Customer did this anyways. Warranty denied coverage as customer used old cooler and we, ******************** covered a lot of the costs of repair to help the customer out and are only charging him the $600 for repair and freight fee of $498. Customer has been emailed an online payment link. We have have followed warranty and have even told the customer we will submit his removal and reinstallation bill into the warranty for reimbursement under their terms and conditions. All the customer has to do is send us a copy of the bill. We are sorry for timing we have been in communication with customer, but we are down engine builders and have worked as fast as we are able to for this customer in order to get him back on the road. We hope customer makes payment so he can get his engine back as soon as possible.

On October 18th of 2023, I told **** ***** I was ready to purchase an engine. Mine had recently blown and I needed a replacement. **** told me it would be $4,184. I would receive a $500 core refund whenever they received my old engine back and shipping cost $489 which was also included in the $4,184 price. After a week or the engine arrived. I had it installed. It worked for about ***** miles and started having the same issues the original engine had. I reached out to Accurate Engines and I talked to ********. ******** said I needed to have the engine pulled and shipped back to them. If it was their problem then they would reimburse me. My mechanic looked at it, and we agreed that the crank shaft was not timed right or something along those lines. We shipped the engine off and Accurate Engines said they fixed it and sent it back. The mechanic reinstalled the engine. The moment he turned it on, it was having the same exact issue as it was having when we sent it off. I called ******** who said "pull it out and send it back to us again". It costs over $3,000 to remove and install an engine. So for her to say "pull it out and ship it to us again" is absurd. No reimbursement for the first time removing the engine. I shipped it back to them. They said they fixed it and that it was the crank shaft. One week of driving and the engine is failing for a 3rd time. I called and ******** said "well it's the mechanics fault". I told her "so you're telling me that the crank shaft which is at the center of the engine is the mechanics fault when they don't even touch it?" she said "yes". After going around in a circle I asked if I shipped it back again can I have a new engine or a reimbursement. She said no to a reimbursement and that maybe a new engine but no promises. They paid me once around $1,500 and 2 times $1,000 for removing and shipping the engine back. That amount barely covers one removal and install of the engine. I am looking for a complete reimbursement. Talkd last 3-25

Owner of company: ***** at ************ Salesman: *** *******, ***************************** *****************-531-2050 Office girl, ********: ************, ****************************** My mechanic: ***** Pieper *******, 808-Accurate Engines cashed the check for the engine on Jan. 28, 2025.The check was for $3414.00 4.6L Re-Manufactured Engine One way shipping Standard Warranty of 3 years Your order should ship approximately 3-5 business days after you've placed it. If it is beyond the farthest time frame given and you have not received email confirmation of shipment contact ******** or email for status update. Once shipped, you will be notified via email with tracking information linking you directly to RL Carriers website. Nature of dispute: My mechanic in ****** says the engine is the wrong engine and I should return it. He has tried a few different flex plates to see which one fits but none of them fit to my car, my mechanic says. My mechanic and me have made many, many calls to their office to see how we can return the engine or fix the problem but the company rarely answers our calls or messages we leave. It is so frustrating for this company's delays and non-communication with us. It's been months that we are trying to contact them but it's fruitless. I want and told them by leaving messages that I want to return the engine and receive my money back. The order was made in February but till today, we haven't been able to get help from this company and so I want my money back.

I am rejecting this response because: Accurate Engines did not buy a flex plate part at Autozone for my mechanic.  I have attached an email from the manager of Autozone in ****** below.  His name is ****** ******, manager from Autozone. His number is ************.   My mechanic is ***** Pieper ******* and his number at **** Auto Air Conditioning is ************.

    "Good morning *******,

Per our conversation, I wanted to send you a confirmation email that about a month and a half ago you were questioning if a vendor contacted my store to purchase a flex plate for the engine that you ordered online from Accurate engines and online vendor. The company did reach out but my store team denied processing the requested order as it seemed like it was fraudulent and requesting the incorrect flex plate that did not match the flex plate needed based on the vehicle information.

    Thank you"

    Sincerely,

    ******* *******

I purchased an engine them in January. When the engine was received, one of the heads was incorrect. They sent a new head in February. After I had the head changed out the engine doesn't run. I was told to send the engine back with my timing cover and oil pan and they were going to check it out. They received the engine on March 3. I spoke to ******** and she told me that someone would let me know something in a week. I received a partial refund in mid March, but haven't been able to reach anyone to talk to. I have left messages for two months trying to get my parts back with no response. So I decided to reach out to the BBB to see if you could help.

I am rejecting this response When I called to know what the status of my order was. They told me that there was no problem that I paid the other half and that they would send it to me in 3 weeks if they had told me that they were going to delay in sending me the engine what I took to contact them I would have canceled the order but instead they told me that there was no problem that in 3 weeks they were going to send it another thing is that when I asked them for the policies for refund they refused to send them to me what I received were some texts telling me how much I would pay to cancel and I told them to take the money from the cancellation and send me the rest of the money then they texted me saying that there was no chance of them making me a refund this is a scam now I already know because of their bad reviews

Many customers have complaints about receiving junk engines that fails in the first hours of installed not even days

That's why instead of them sending me a defective engine like most of the ones they sell, I want a full refund of the money

    Sincerely,
