I purchased a vehicle in may 2024. 3 days after signing the car was in shop. Carcity and orbit refused to help. Since that the car was in the shop 9 times. After struggling financially I gave the car back. Orbit leasing decided to call me stupid and say they take my wages.

I brought my 2014 **** 500 from ******** on January-******* and it stop working on April-16-2025. I called Orbit Leasing and explained to them the car stop working and it has been 3 months yet. It was a warranty on the car, but to get it fix it had to be towed to **********, *******. I explained to the *************** I did have extra 400 hundreds to get it towed can they tow it. Orbit Leasing said said No, so I asked them to stop charging me payments, because it's not working and they said. No. They finally came and picked the car up as a repossessed and they said I owe to car note payment and late fees. But I explained to them that's not fair, because the cat stop working.

Currently leasing a vehicle from Orbit Leasing,Took the vehicle in for a routine recall repair and within 3 days after the vehicle stopped running while driving on the freeway. Contacted Orbit Leasing about the issue and they instructed me to take the vehicle to an authorized mechanic and get an estimate of what was wrong and the cost of repairs. I did so and what happened with the vehicle is still unexplained on why it happened. But I sent the information for the cost of repairs to Orbit and heard nothing in a response from them for a month until my monthly car payment was due. I figured I was on my own, and all I continue to get from them is pay your bill for them to be able to tell me if they might be able to help me get the vehicle repaired. So now I am currently without a working vehicle that I am continuing to pay for. Attached are the *** copies of the text messages between myself and the company.

I have been with Orbit Leasing for years now. EVERY MONTH since almost the beginning of the contract I have been allowed to make my payment on the date I get paid (approx 2 weeks later). I have updated the information with the company probably 30 times now. They will not move the date - fine, well I will make the payment on my pay date...simple right, yes they agree not asking for any additional money in advance -as that's the whole point of moving the payment date -- the date I can pay. Recently I believe they have outsourced their customer service as the past few months they now state you must make a separate payment in order to be able to pay on your pay date....no. Every month we go through this and every month I pay on my pay date without missing anything. They argue and state they won't talk to me anymore. I have asked several times for a manager to contact me and I'm ignored. My lease is almost done - thank goodness. The first thing they do is threaten to disable the vehicle if you don't agree. I don't know what that solves exactly. It just makes people more upset. Here's a tip - WORK with your clients that have been loyal to you don't treat them like garbage! This company has been exhausting to work with every month and I cannot wait for this to just be over. This is also record in case they retaliate by shutting my car off or coming to repossess it.

I am not liable for this debt with Orbit Leasing. I do not have a contract with the collection agency. They did not provide me with the original contract as I requested.

I am submitting this complaint to report Orbit Leasing for ongoing false reporting on my credit file, in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).Summary of the Issue:I had an account with ******************** that was closed and charged off in February 2021. However:1.Illegal Late Payment Reporting: Late payments have been continuously reported on this account for the past four years, despite the account being charged off. Under the ****, creditors are not permitted to report new late payments on charged-off *********************** Reopening of the Account: On November 19, 2024, Orbit Leasing reopened the account without my knowledge or consent, removed the original charge-off, added new late payments, and then closed and charged off the account *************** to Respond to My Attempts to Resolve the Issue: I have made multiple attempts to contact Orbit Leasing through phone calls and voicemails. I was hung up on, transferred to voicemail with no response, and repeatedly transferred to representatives who refused to address the issue.Request for Resolution:I request the BBB to investigate Orbit Leasing for violations of the ***** specifically:15 U.S. Code 1681s-2(a): Obligation of furnishers to provide accurate information.15 U.S. Code 1681e(b): Requirement for maximum accuracy in credit reporting.I am also asking for the immediate deletion of this account from my ********** and Equifax credit reports and for Orbit Leasing to be held accountable for their deceptive practices.Attachments:I am including:1.Copies of my credit reports showing the false and inaccurate reporting. Thank you for addressing this matter. Please let me know if further information is needed.

    Business Response

Thank you for reaching out.  At Orbit Leasing, we work hard to make sure that we provide a top-notch customer service experience to all our customers.

******************** conducted a thorough and in-depth investigation of our reporting of the customers account to the consumer reporting agencies, and we verify that the information we are reporting is consistent with our records.

The customers account was charged-off, but the account was not sent to a collections agency. We have never reported that the customers account was sent to a collections agency. Orbit Leasing has consistently reported the account as charged-off, and we have not been reporting late payments.

Orbit Leasing has never reported the account as closed, and, therefore, has never reported the account as reopened nor has it reversed the charge-off.

Orbit Leasing reports identical information about the customers account to both ********** and Equifax (we do not report to Experian). While we report the same information to each credit reporting agency, we have no control or influence over the ways the credit reporting agencies display that information. We understand that this can be confusing; but please know that we have no control over this.

Because the customer disputes the information we are reporting, we have marked the account as disputed with the consumer reporting agencies.

The customer has requested multiple good-will adjustments to their account. While we understand the customers predicament and respect their requests, we must furnish information to consumer reporting agencies with accuracy and integrity.

Also, Orbit Leasing has responded to the customers numerous communications with us. It appears that the customer would like this account removed from their credit report and is peppering Orbit Leasing with disputes about its correct reporting of their charged-off account in the hopes that we will simple delete our reporting of the account.

******************** has mailed the customer copies of their signed lease agreement and account payment history to the address provided in this dispute.

We invite the customer to call our office at ************** to discuss their concerns.  We are here to help!

    Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
That is an automated message that does nothing but repeat the same thing over and over. In there response they said that they never reported the account as closed so when were they going to inform me that the account was still open?? Also when I contacted the credit bureaus they were the ones that told me that orbit leasing send them the information and reported the late payments. Im not sure why they are refusing to remove this 6+ year old account off my credit report that they have been reporting late payments on for the past 4-5 years but if they claim they havent then I would like them to contact the credit bureaus and have them tell me who has been reporting the late payments and who is responsible for closing the account since ******************** is claiming they never closed it
    Sincerely,

    ******** ******

I got the car 2 weeks ago I make 1100A week. I was approved for a crappy car. I'm having major issues with the car. They will not let me speak to anybody higher up corporate or nothing. They've been sending me in circles, and I just want a better reliable car or terminate my lease. They will not help me. They were quick to put me in the deal, but not resolve my issue. I haven't even paid my first payment. In all I have 4 lights on, including the check engine.

I have been attempting to do a voluntary repossession of my 2017 **** I am not able to make the payments and have purchased a new vehicle. It has been weeks and multiple calls and texts. I have been told various reasons why the vehicle has not been picked up yet. I was told it takes AT LEAST 45 days(they are able then to add yet another payment to my bill in addition to the remainder). I have been told they can not tell me the tow company. I have been told the legal team has to look at it, I was told the manager will need to be made awareand so on. This car can not remain where it is for any more time. It has been a few weeks. The car is about to be towed from its current placewhich they are well aware of by myself and the owner of the property. I have given them multiple times and days to pick up the car. They are well aware the car will be towed. There is zero urgency for the matter of this voluntary repossession of THEIR PROPERTY!!! I am at a loss as to what steps to do next. I have tried to let them know all information. I have recently asked for any and all paperwork regarding this as I was told they have started the process weeks ago. I have yet to see a response. Thank you
