My initial review was - If you enjoy the occasional extra/modeling gig, avoid Nine9. They claim to schedule you for an open call casting, but it's actually a meeting with others they're trying to enroll at $99 + $39/monthly fees. ?????????? If they were upfront about this when enticing folks to reach out, I wouldn't feel the need to caution others...NINE9 responded -Hi **,Thanks for sharing feedback from our virtual call. My records show that you rescheduled your virtual call with us but are listed as a no show currently for the rescheduled appointment on 7/8. Our services do benefit talent with casting opportunities and access to workshops for resume development. If you are ever curious about learning more about what we do, please reach out to me directly and I'd be happy to assist to see if Nine9 would be a benefit to you. You can reach me directly at ********************************** Thank you and have a great day!To which I respond - This is blatantly false, I was acknowledged by the person leading the "open casting call" on the rescheduled day (she even answered a couple of my questions) and have screenshots to prove this. As if falsely advertising it as a casting call wasn't bad enough, this response has only raised more red flags about their tactics. Beware.

Just got off the Zoom Meeting with Nine9. They were asking for a one time fee of $99 dollars, but also it was saying they will take $39.99 off every month starting in two weeks. So I asked through the ** chat box if they will be taking it off every month starting in two weeks. She didn't respond to me, then I asked her another question by saying. How long with the site be up in order to pay, because I had to add money to my account. She completely ignored me. Until I asked her if she could see my questions. She responded back by saying yes she San see my questions. Then she said...oh no it must have gotten lost, let me go back to read them. Went back and read them, but only answered the question about how long is the site going to stay up, still didn't answer my question about the $39.99 being pulled off every month. So yes...I'm in agreement with the other people that have came on here saying they are a scam! Yes....NINE9 is In Fact A Scam!!! She simply came out of her mouth and said One Time Fee of $99, but if you just be so quick to go on there and sign up, and don't read that little application you will get scammed!!! Please Pay Attention to the Fine Print of that little application before you give them your card information!!!

      HI there *******,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the virtual open call we have for new talent. My apologies that your questions were not answered properly on the call. I've noted this and will alert management immediately.

Regarding your question, yes the $39.95 fee for continued services does start two weeks directly after sign up. This feel includes access to multiple training seminars we offer as well as casting calls and auditions. I'd love to be able to give you a chance to experience the services we offer. Please reach out to me directly at ********************************* so I can assist further and make this right for you. Thank you again for reaching out and sharing this with us.

I did the presentation and signed up on a Friday. On Monday I realized they do not call you. You search their database and it had poor reviews. Asked to cancel monthly. They said they did for future payments. Asked three times for a refund on the $99 sign up free. Ignored. Went to my credit card company and reversed charged. Please beware.

This company is a complete scam. They are only concerned about one ************* to take your money without the services that they agreed to help you with. They dont help book you anything. No one emails you back or call you until you miss a payment. The only thing they have done was have me in a zoom chat twice talking about the same exact thing how they can make you a star then never book you. Please run for the hills when it comes to this company. Its a scam.

This company is a complete scam. If you submit information to them like your name or contact information to their acting audition advertisement. They will contact you via text and email for an audition meeting with their representative. This virtual zoom meeting is an invite to scam potential talent into paying them to be a part of their company. So youre paying membership and a monthly subscription for them to send your profile to potential hiring companies for acting auditions. This is a complete scam and do not give them any credit card information And then when you tell them that you dont wanna be a part of their company, they continue to text you and try to get you to attend another virtual meeting. I had to block their contact information from my phone.

Yea there's tons of these "agencies" from ******************, iPop, to Nine9. All doing the same thing. Tell you what, if y'all are serious about this, I recommend just looking up EVERY audition near you, you can do that for FREE using Actor's Access, Backstage, etc. If you are really serious, join a union like SAG-AFTRA (costs money, but most reputable union) to represent you. Remember, for anyone telling you, "You need a manager." BS. If you have one hour every day, you can easily become a momager or dadager. Only when things get big or you don't have a lot of time on you for constant searching up audions, then hire an agent (NOT NECCESARY). An experienced agent can help actors succeed by offering a huge network of contacts, helping them avoid rookie mistakes, and getting auditions that might not be available otherwise. Listen, a lot of these "agencies" are just going to sh*t your money into sewers and get you nowhere. I can say that the industry in general can be very tough for newcomers. but just put in a few days of studying the industry, and you got it. GOOD LUCK!
