A Disquieting Breach of Trust: Systemic Failures and Unfair Practices at HomeWorks Property Management From Nov2018 until my unlawful termination on July10,2025, I served as the operational backbone of HomeWorks and its affiliates, holding roles including Director of Operations, Systems Architect, HR/Recruitment, ******************** Accounting Liaison, and Admin/IT Manager. I built core systems, streamlined processes, implemented automation, and developed AI frameworks (Maven, Prismer, Helix) still in use today. I resolved high-stakes client escalations that prevented millions in losses and created the infrastructure that enabled growth.Despite these contributions, I faced unethical treatment, a hostile environment, and chronic underpayment. My pay rose from $4/hr to $12/hr, yet overtime went unpaid, leaving a $3,000 claim (Jan2024July2025). Arbitrary deductions, opaque payroll practices, and wage non-payment since Jan2024 signal systemic financial mismanagement. Leadership ignored demands for fair severance ($12,480 for seven years) and $50,000 for intellectual property still benefiting the company, with documented claims left unansweredechoing BBB complaints of unresponsiveness, financial opacity, and service failures.I also endured a culture of fear-driven communication and disregard for well-being, issues affecting multiple team members. These are not isolated events but part of a pattern of unfair labor practices and unethical ************ to Action:Those considering employment, partnership, or service agreements with this company should proceed with extreme caution. Independently verify claims, scrutinize payroll and payment histories, and assess leaderships responsiveness and culture. Ethical practices, fair treatment, and financial transparency are not optionalthey are the foundation of sustainable success, and their absence here remains the subject of active legal and regulatory action in both U.S. and Philippine jurisdictions.

If you are a landlord seeking property management, DO NOT work with HomeWorks Property Management.
Initially, I worked with *****; she was very responsive, and things were fine. It took them six months to find tenants for my property. I'm unsure what systems they use to do background checks, but it isn't good. The tenants only paid their first month's rent, and after that, they were late and never paid the full amount. Then stopped paying altogether.
My biggest issue with HomeWorks is their lack of professionalism. It seems like they use a third-party receptionist, so you have to schedule a call with your actual property manager. The property managers constantly miss the scheduled calls, and getting information that should only take a few minutes can take days. To date, I have had eight missed meetings with ********* and ******.
To make matters worse, the portal is never up to date, so you have to call to know what is going on with your property. It has been a complete nightmare working with this company. Save yourself the headache and find a different property manager.

I am a landlord and I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Homeworks Property Management. Their incompetence, lack of communication, and exorbitant fees have made my tenant placement experience a complete nightmare.
The application fees charged by Homeworks are nothing short of outrageous. They nickel and dime the prospective tenants for every conceivable service, making them not want to apply to rent. Additionally, their communication is abysmal. It's nearly impossible to get any information concerning best efforts to market the property.
Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of my experience with Homeworks is their insistence on a 30-day waiting period after I wanted to end the contact even when they have failed to fulfill their obligations to find a tenant in 90 days. This arbitrary rule is a waste of time and money.
I strongly advise anyone considering having a property managed by Homeworks to reconsider. Their poor management, excessive fees, and lack of responsiveness make for a truly terrible tenant placement experience. I urge potential landlords to seek out a more reliable and professional property management company to avoid the frustration and disappointment that I have encountered.

I am a landlord and I have been relying on this company to manage my property. When there is a maintenance request it takes a very long time for things to get serviced/fixed.
Also the accounting department is horrible and incompetent. I am currently going through an issue with my disbursement. The client success manager told me I would be receiving my rent money on Friday July 19th but of course I have not received it as of yet. I think they try to find ways to steal your money. I have been working with my lawyer and have just enough evidence to bring this company down.
If you decide to go with this company, you really need to look at your reports closely and manage this manage company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
