    I recently discovered that I am a victim of identity theft. While reviewing my credit report, I noticed an inquiry that was opened in my name without my knowledge or consent. I immediately contacted the creditor to request proof of my authorization for this inquiry. However, I have yet to receive any documentation or evidence from the creditor that verifies I initiated or authorized the opening of this inquiry. Given the lack of evidence provided by the creditor, it is clear that this inquiry does not belong to me and has been opened fraudulently using my personal information. Here are the details related to this incident that I found in my credit report.

    follow up to a seond complaint that we received from you through the Better
    Business Bureau (BBB). Attached to your complaint, among other things, was an
    Identity Theft Reports filed with the Federal Trade Commission on 6/24/2024. In
    your Identity Theft Report and BBB complaint, among other things, you state
    that you have an unauthorized inquiries from Credit Plus on 10/10/2022
    reporting on your credit report.

    Our records show that we previously received a BBB complaint from you.
    In our response to that complaint, we informed you that Credit Plus is a
    subsidiary of Xactus, LLC (Xactus) and that Credit Plus and Xactus are “Credit
    Reporting Agencies” and “Resellers” of credit reports, as defined by the Fair
    Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In that response we also informed you that it was our
    client, *** *** ********** *** that pulled your credit report on 10/10/2022.

    As a result of your first complaint and the Identity Theft Report dated 4/8/2024
    that you attached to that complaint, we blocked the credit reports that we have
    on file for you from any subsequent use. Included with our first response, and

    This company that is listed on my credit from all 3 credit bureaus. They did multiple hard pulls on my credit, and as a result hurt my credit score. This company Credit Plus is a fraudulent company that does shady things. They have been on my credit since 20022 and still keep doing hard pulls against my credit with my knowledge. I am going to file a lawsuit against this company, plus report them to my state Attorney General.

    We have received a notification from the Better Business Bureau stating that
    you have rejected our response of 12/11/2023 to your original Better Business
    Bureau complaint because the credit inquiry or inquiries are still reporting on
    your credit report.


    As we
    informed you in our response of 12/11/2023, Credit Plus is a reseller of credit
    reports and that if you have an inquiry or inquiries from Credit Plus reporting
    on your credit report, then a client of ours, likely a mortgage broker
    or lender, has pulled your credit report.


    However, as we also informed you in our response of
    12/11/2023, there is not enough information in your Better Business Bureau
    complaint for us to accurately authenticate your identity and match you to a
    credit report(s) in our system. With your complaint the only identifying
    information provided was your first and last name and your state and zip code.
    Unfortunately, that is not enough for us to accurately locate a report for you.

    This company has called me twice from ###-###-#### without identifying themselves, stating that my mortgage co has requested confirmation and that it requires a conference call. They want me to call them back at ###-###-#### option #2 Case file ********** My mortgage company knows nothing about this and has not requested a confirmation through a third party. I don't know how they received my information or how they know I am applying for a mortgage.
