I am a victim of identity theft. I've noticed unauthorized transactions and suspicious activities linked to my identity. I've filed a police report, but I need assistance in resolving this issue. Hello,
We have received a notification that you have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) under the date of 3/7/2024 against Credit Plus. In your complaint and the attachments thereto, you state that you have unauthorized inquiries from ****** ******** on 7/10/2023, Credit Plus on 6/13/2023, ****** on 7/10/2023 and 6/13/2023, **** *** on 2/10/2024, 6/28/2023, 5/9/2023, 1/14/2023, 11/28/2022, and 11/9/2022, ********** on 6/28/2023, and ********** on 10/10/2023 reporting your credit report.
Please be advised that Credit Plus is now part of the larger company, now known as ******, LLC (******). Additionally, Credit Plus and ****** are resellers of credit reports. On the dates you mention in your complaint, two of our clients pulled your credit report. First, our client, ***** ****** *** pulled your credit report on 6/13/2023. Then, our client, ****** ********, LLC pulled your credit report on 7/10/2023. In response to your complaint we requested documentation from ***** ****** *** and ****** ********, LLC to demonstrate their permissible purpose for pulling your credit report. Attached to this response is the documentation provided to us by ****** ********, LLC which they claim provided them with the permissible purpose to pull your credit report. Once we receive a response from ***** ****** ***, we will forward that response to you and/or the national consumer reporting agencies (**********, ********, and *******).
Regarding your dispute of the inquiries from **** *** on 2/10/2024, 6/28/2023, 5/9/2023, 1/14/2023, 11/28/2022, and 11/9/2022, ********** on 6/28/2023, and ********** on 10/10/2023, since those companies are not clients of Credit Plus or ******, we have forwarded your dispute of those inquiries to the national consumer reporting agencies. Once we receive a response from them, we will also forward that response to you. Hello,
We have received a notification that you filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) on 2/24/2024. In your complaint you state that you are not liable for a debt with Credit Plus, Inc. that you do not have a contract with Credit Plus, Inc., and that they did not provide you with the original contract as requested.
We have searched our records and show that we received a similar dispute from you via email on 2/7/2024. In response to that dispute, we sent you a letter informing you that Credit Plus is now part of the larger company Xactus, LLC (Xactus). Additionally, we informed you that Credit Plus and Xactus are resellers of credit reports and that it was our client ***, Inc. that pulled your credit report on 8/8/2022.
Further, as a reseller of credit reports, neither Credit Plus or Xactus open or service accounts. In response to your current complaint with the BBB, because we have already informed you that it was our client, ***, Inc. that pulled your credit report, we have requested documentation from ***, Inc. to demonstrate their permissible purpose for pulling your credit report. Once we receive a response from them, we will forward that response to you and/or the national consumer reporting agencies (**********, ********, and *******).

This company that is listed on my credit from all 3 credit bureaus. They did multiple hard pulls on my credit, and as a result hurt my credit score. This company Credit Plus is a fraudulent company that does shady things. They have been on my credit since 20022 and still keep doing hard pulls against my credit with my knowledge. I am going to file a lawsuit against this company, plus report them to my state Attorney General.Business response

As we informed you in our response of 12/11/2023, Credit Plus is a reseller of credit reports and that if you have an inquiry or inquiries from Credit Plus reporting on your credit report, then a client of ours, likely a mortgage broker or lender, has pulled your credit report.
However, as we also informed you in our response of 12/11/2023, there is not enough information in your Better Business Bureau complaint for us to accurately authenticate your identity and match you to a credit report(s) in our system. With your complaint the only identifying information provided was your first and last name and your state and zip code. Unfortunately, that is not enough for us to accurately locate a report for you. This company has called me twice from ###-###-#### without identifying themselves, stating that my mortgage co has requested confirmation and that it requires a conference call. They want me to call them back at ###-###-#### option #2 Case file ********** My mortgage company knows nothing about this and has not requested a confirmation through a third party. Credit Plus made hard credit report inquiries on 8/6/22; 12/15/22; and 2/13/23 without my permission. My credit score has been reduced by 9 points as a result as reported by my bank. I have no idea who this company is and they somehow gained access to one of my bank account information and had been randomly charging my card 19.55 every week. The bank they gained access too, is actually my account that I have all my payments go into . Nothing should have access to take money out of this account. The bank investigated and determined this was fraud as they had more then one complaint about this company. Credit Plus, Inc. has pulled my credit as a hard inquiry 3 times in the past year and half. I don't even know what this company is or who they pull pull credit for. However, I have not given my permission for my credit to be pulled by this company.
