  They tried to put a new crown on my chimney and repair footings. After a year and a half there are cracks throughout the crown. Worse of all they refuse to return my calls, and e-mails.

  The start date was constantly being pushed back due to other jobs needing to be done, then the understandable weather conditions. We hired Mid Atlantic to lay a concrete sidewalk in the front of our house and to do concrete work in the back of our home as well as add a new deck. The original deck was falling apart.
  We thought by all appearances that the work was done well.
  We did however have to make calls to have the rubble removed. It had just been thrown all over the back and front yard and left there.
  Since the work was finished we had health issues arise that require a chairlift for my now disabled husband. A contractor was sent to our home to do an assessment from the Baltimore VA, which at that time I was told that the deck and stairs were not up to code.
  The stairs are NOT anchored to the ground. They are sitting on a center support only. Our deck is not completely bolted, but rather screws!
  There are other things the contractor mentioned as well but I’m not sure of the terminology so I won’t address these things here.
  I contacted Mid Atlantic and was told that he, the person I spoke with, would be over and he would like me to show him everything that needed to be fixed and then he would have the people who built the deck come over and fix the work.
  Now why should I have to show him what was done incorrectly? Should he not be the one to know?
  I’ve contacted him again to be told he told the people about this and that he would let me know asap when they would be over.
  Again I contacted him, this time he asks me if I called them! I told him NO that I don’t even know their names. They speak Spanish and I don’t! I was never given a name when they did the work!
  Now I ask again, why should I be doing his job??
  This is now three weeks into trying to get Mid Atlantic to correct this issue! I hired Mid Atlantic, and paid Mid Atlantic for this work to the tune of over $22,000!
  If anyone is even considering using this company, STOP!!

  I found Mid Atlantic Concrete and Improvement Specialists, LLC. on Angie’s List. My husband and I contracted with this company for a retaining wall, patio and steps. The contract was signed the first week of June 2024 with a $7000+ deposit and we were told by the Customer Representative (CR) that construction would begin on July 5th. After waiting about a week or so, my husband called the CR who advised he left the company and provided the name of the new CR and the name of the General Manager (GM). Over the course of the next few weeks, my husband called the new CR and left messages, and no one responded. I then called the GM who advised she would speak to the new CR and someone would get back with us regarding a start date. Again, days/weeks went by and the CR would not respond. I then left a message with the call center POC expressing our frustration and dissatisfaction with the process. Finally, the CR answered and told my husband she had nothing to tell him, so she did not respond to his calls/messages. She stated she was too busy cleaning up the mess her predecessor left.
  We are now in August and the CR had no idea when she would start our project. My husband then requested our deposit back. The CR then responded that she would send two guys to Home Depot to buy some wood to frame up the ground patio. We said NO WAY understanding that if we allowed that to happen, another $7000+ deposit would be due with no completion date. The CR became angry and told my husband we are going to take a percentage of your deposit. My husband said take it and return the rest. We will get a lawyer to get the money back.
  Then my husband talked with the GM who claimed he wanted to make it right. A week later my husband called the GM who advised the refund was in process. Today is September 16, 2024 and we have not heard from any Mid Atlantic Representative about the return of our $7000+ deposit or about any services.
  My best advice, STAY AWAY from this company.

  In July 2024 rep from Mid Atlantic Concrete came out to my home to survey the work needed to be done to be done to the existing rear patio collecting standing rainwater. Work needed to the existing 3 downspouts/ 1 sump pump drain. To tie-in all 3 downspouts for better drainage away from rear patio, new patio to have metal reinforcement and 3000psi concrete with stamped color, clean area and haul off all job-related debris. Contractor from Mid Atlantic said it would be 6 weeks before the job would be started and that a deposit of $2,000 was needed. I reached out to Mid Atlantic rep said he left the company in August and that I should call the owner "Jack." I called the phone number on Mid Atlantic website the same number on the service agreement. Had to leave a detail voice message! I am not happy about working with Mid Atlantic Concrete after reading customer reviews and their start rating of 3.26 - 3 stars out of 5. I hope "Jack" or someone from Mid Atlantic contacts me today!

  This company covered a storm water pipe when installing my driveway. Any time it rains water now backs up and floods my basement. I thought this company had better integrity coming back out to my home to assess the issue after calling them. Unfortunately, they’ve been unresponsive ever since. Wouldn’t recommend. It's been almost a year and no response.

  In May 2023 I contacted with this company to dig up, replace two car parking pad, steps & landing leading to the front door. I paid for this project in full. Half when contact was done and balance the day the work was completed. In August 2023 the parking pad, steps & landing showed cracks. I immediately contacted this company to schedule date to address the issues. I have contacted Jack monthly since then. It is always the same response “We will take care of it.” It is now August 2024 and issues still remain. The lack of communication & professional behavior speaks volumes. I do not recommend this company for projects.

  Poor service. I hired this company to do deck repairs. The install of the boards was not done correctly, which led to the boards, buckling and raising. When I hired another company to do the paint, they had to replace all the boards that the mid Atlantic Company placed. When reported the company informed me that it was my fault And that they were no longer liable. The company representative did not come back to inspect the work after it was completed. The only communication that he was worried about was receiving the money for the work. As a they provided a receipt, they spent $170 on materials but charged me $4000 to replace 10 boards. Over price and Shawty work.
