    My daughter attended Kiddie Academy of Laurel from 2019 to 2022. ** January 2023 I contacted the company requesting a statement for tax purposes, which I did receive. I was then told of a credit of $1,166.00 on my account that will be refunded, without waiting on my response or confirming my bank account, my refund was sent. I noticed they had the wrong information and the account they had on file was closed November of 2022. I notified them and was told to go into the parent portal and update with my new account. I waited a couple days and noticed my account was still not refunded. When I emailed they stated that my prior bank *** never sent the funds back. I went into a *** branch and obtained an account transaction detail report, which shows the rejection refund of $1,166.00 and the account closure. When I sent this information I was told this was not enough proof and that I needed a letter from ***. I have been working closely with a rep from *** corporate and he confirmed verbally to the processing company at Kiddie Academy of Laurel that the refund was indeed rejected and sent back. It is now April and this has been an ongoing issue since January 2023. Kiddie Academy of Laurel is requesting a letter from *** showing proof of the rejection, but I am unable to get a letter because the account is closed. I have an email thread of about 59 emails trying everything I can to get my refund. Last Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 I sent an email to the company letting them know that I am unable to obtain that letter they are requesting but I can have the owner speak directly to *** to confirm any information she needs in order to refund my new account. Today April 17, 2023 I was told they are still waiting to hear back from the owner.

    This business is franchised owned. So when I called corporate and there was no resolution for me. I had to move to Maryland and so I wanted a job. I was currently in a position that I no longer felt fit my needs and skills. I applied to this franchise. As a person with many credentials and experience. I was hired. I worked for this organization for 2 days. They then told me that they could no longer pay me and had a freeze on their hiring process even though I was already hired and had worked. They gave me all the options for employment and simply sent me on my way. I had uprooted my somewhat awful situation though employed for this position. This decision they made after hiring me uprooted my life financially. I am without unemployment benefits and without a job too pay for my lifestyle. Simply rent, food, gas for my car, and the basic necessities of being a human. The reason for my termination to me so unacceptable. They did not even process my paperwork I learned later on. So I asked that if you are to apply to the school and it's owner please beware. Don't allow yourself to be wrapped up in what seems to be a good fit for you as a staff seems amazing and the school and family or nice. I have an acceptance letter, awful letter that says that I was signing a two-year contract to be salary. And now I am left without a future and back at square one to find stability in my life. Moving to Maryland is definitely been a roller coaster and this has been the highest leap. Always ask questions and be aware of those who seem too good to be true.
