1 starThis company seems to have several names. I booked with Priceless Car Rentals through Economy Bookings. I paid in full upfront. When i got to the car rental place, they informed me there would be a $30 per day fee added to what i already paid because i picked up the car late. That didn't make sense to me because i'd already paid for the car. so, why does it matter when i pick it up? They then put a $1000 deposit on my credit card. at the same time, that i was haggling with them, another couple said they were being charge an extra $30 a day for insurance purposes. I probably should have just left and lost the money i paid upfront but i was traveling with kids and they were tired. we all were. when i returned the vehicle today- they 'inspected' the car and said there was $1500 worth of damage done to the car. Absolutely not true. I filed a complaint with the florida attorney general and my home state attorney general. I am working with the credit card company to dispute the charges. I am 49 years old. I have never had an experience with any vendor or merchant like this. HorribleReview fromJohn C

1 starHorrible pretty much on the edge of criminal. It started upon arriving at *** waiting for shuttle. After waiting almost and hour I called again this time the incredibly rude service person said I cancelled my reservation and no shuttle is coming. Btw I didnt cancel. I call Priceline who I had made my reservation through they tried to help and relayed message to me that shuttle was coming and my reservation was not cancelled. Upon arriving at priceless rental counter the same person that told me I had cancelled was the same person I was talking with and once again he said I cancelled and for a additional $450 I could reinstate my reservation. I called Priceline again to explain the situation they said they would call the rental office to fix it. The rental office wouldnt pick up phone so Priceline called me back again and I placed us on speaker phone so things could be resolved. Not happening the person at service desk was rude and kept saying I cancelled but had no proof of such. The ***************** agent suggested we hang up and I call him back when in private. I did he and his manager apologized over and over but recognized the service at priceless car rental was participating in shady business practices. At that time Priceline suggested I cancel my reservation with priceless so I did and had to call **** for a ride. I highly recommend to anyone considering renting from priceless do not do it they are crooks and should be investigated by AG. I wish ****** allowed no star reviewsReview fromHoward C

1 starNever rent from this company. They ask you to sign for the condition of the car by showing you a few small photos on a small screen before you ever pick it up, and then we picked it up after 8PM in a dimly lit garage. We noticed shortly before returning it that there was a nail or s**** in one tire and reported it to the guy where we dropped it off just so that it wasnt a problem for the next person, even though it never gave us any issue. THEY CHARGED US OVER $150 FOR A NEW TIRE!!! THESE JERKS ARE CROOKS! I spoke with their customer service department and they said the pressure in the tire was low, but I never saw any indicator when I was driving. It was their last car, so if it wasnt acceptable when I got there, what would they have done for me anyway? I want my money back!!!Review fromDeborah C

1 starThey are an awful rental car company! I will tell everyone I know never to rent through them!I has a reservation to rent on Jan. 10th 2025 for a one week. Prepaid through Priceline for $95.58 When I got to the rental location. they asked for proof of insurance, so I showed them my declaration showing full coverage with ******. A major know insurance company. They said that they do not take ****************. In a not very nice tone, they pointed out on a board hanging up what insurance they do honor. which were 4 other major companys and 3-4 that I never heard ***** since they wouldn't honor my ***************** I had to purchase theirs for $30 a day which which would total $210, which was more for the rental itself. No one in that office was apologetic at all! Basically to bad so sad!!Of course I was not going to rent their car! So I had to call an Lyft to another rental place, which cost me $20. They also charged a another customer a $1000 deposit, which is ridiculous since major car rentals charge on a $50.Once I got my new rental from the other company, I called Priceless back asking for my refund of $95.58, but they told me that since it was pre-paid, they won't issue one!!!I called Priceline to tell them what had happened and how I was so upset with how Priceless treated me and didn't even care!! What should have been a one hour thing, turned into a 5 hour ordeal. Anyways Priceline after talking with Priceless 2 times disputing, Priceline was able to get the refund for me. 2 hours of my time was wasted on the one dealing with this not to mention, I had to pay more for a different rental with a different company plus for the Lyft to take me there, since Priceless did not offer nor did they apologize!Absolutely the WORST car rental company and they should not be in business!!!Review fromLaura O

1 starThey deserve 0 stars. This place was absolutely HORRIBLE. I have rented multiple cars from multiple places and I HAVE NEVER had such a terrible experience or lack of customer service. Since I had pre paid the reservation it was clear as day that they did not care to help you at all. I was not told about a $1000 deposit and the credit card I had on me did not have that balance. I tried to use Apple Pay and he refused because he stated it needed to show my name on the card, after I showed him the card details on my phone, he still refused. The front desk person, he said his name was *****, did absolutely nothing to help me and was absolutely rude. It just seems like they make up their rules, charges, and policies as they go. When I asked for a manager ***** said they werent there until tomorrow and gave me a business card to say I could send an email if Id like. I ended up not getting their rental, figuring out another rental back at the airport and paying for an **** to bring me back since their shuttle service took over 30 minutes to pick us up before. This place is a SCAM. They are RUDE and do NOT care. STAY AWAY and TELL EVERYONE to STAY AWAY.Review fromIftekher K

1 starHorrible experience!! We started by waiting about 90 minutes for a shuttle to next car. They promised a shuttle came every 15 minutes, but that wasnt the case. We saw several other rental car company shuttles come multiple times, but no sign of next car.Eventually when it came, there were so many people waiting for next car at that point that my family barely fit into the shuttle. their shuttle was disgusting, with half finished water bottles and gum wrappers everywhere. The driver did not speak any English. When we got to next car (located in an unsafe area, would not take children there after dark) .we waited 3 hours in line to get serviced. Their representatives were not busy at all, and were artificially taking extra time for no reason. Many were on their phones and were making chit chat while several customers were clearly waiting to be serviced. before we got to the front, we saw several other unhappy customers yelling at the representatives complaining that a bunch of unadded up charges were added or that the car that they wanted was given away by nextcar because they were late, even though their own shuttle caused and extra hour of delay. When we finally got to the front nextcar informed us that we were late (once again, primarily because their shuttle was an hour late), we would have to pay an extra 200 dollars for another car. The representative was unhelpful, rude, and barely spoke English. We declined the car, and had to push her to give us a confirmation of cancellation. I think that if we did not push her to confirm our cancellation, they would have charged our card for nothing.Overall, I do not know how such a scam operates in *******. It operates solely on putting travelers in desperate, time consuming scenarios and then overcharging via hidden fees and lies once the customer is finally serviced. I have seen far friendlier employees and better business practices in third world countries.Review fromGiby A

1 starFRAUD ALERT FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD We booked on Dec 25, 2024 from *********** for 3 days. PICK UP tile ***** AM They had no office in ***********. Waited there from ***** and another company one switch picked up after 40 mins wait. They took us to their office around ***** AM After being in queue for over 30 mins, we realized they were not offering any cars to any of the customers. Only one lady at front desk with minimal knowledge of English). After 30 mins, a rude man(probably their bouncer/goon) said no cars for you since u are late 20 min. We said we are here waiting 20 min and no help . We realized its fraud since they did not offer any cars to anyone in queue One customer was asked $2000 deposit for 2 day car rental, another customer called the police . Police was of no help, possible they were already tied up with them. All of us around a dozen in queue left back to *********** using ***** Only company that had cars was **** and they helped with some cars to all of us even though we paid lot higher rates. The vacation was a tragedy, travelling with 2 young kids without food. Since it was christmas day, not much inventory was available. Luckly we got an SUV after waiting in long queue by end of day , starving and almost fatigued.Review fromAshley F

1 starWaited at airport for over an hour for the shuttle. I was finally able to get ahold of Discover Cars who called the rental place and assured us a shuttle will be there in 15 minutes. Took 30 mins. Driver was not friendly (he wasnt mean either) just didnt talk to us, it was kind of weird not to be greeted or small chat when you are in a mini van. Once we got there my amount owed was $76 according to app(I had already paid the majority ahead of time). They added charges and I owed $300 more! They told me I had to get a sun pass. I didnt have much of a choice but to get the car, I had to be at a wedding and I was already behind due to them being so late to pick me up. They gave me a vehicle that had been wrecked and several dings on it. Turning in the car the lady was nice and we returned to airport quickly. We were nervous that the transaction wouldnt go smooth so we went super early. I reached out to Discover cars and they said since I signed the papers with the up charge there is nothing they can do. This business will continue to get away with this because when you are in an unfamiliar location and need a car, you are desperate. BEWARE!!! Get a car onsite at the airport, it will cost the same!!!! Discover Cars will continue to use them.Review fromStephanie O

1 starI am writing to convey my profound frustration and disappointment with the customer service I encountered while attempting to rent a vehicle. What should have been a straightforward process turned into an exhausting experience filled with misleading information and aggressive upselling that felt exploitative. From the outset, it was evident that your practices lack transparency. I was shocked to discover that you wanted to charge me almost three times the rental cost for additional insurance that seemed both unnecessary and excessive. The "full coverage" advertised on your website for $5 a day is misleading, as I was told I still needed to purchase your insurance for third-party liability at $25 a dayinformation that was not clearly presented on your site. When I mentioned my credit card coverage, I was informed it only covered collision, and my personal insurance was dismissed for not meeting your high limits. After being told the "full coverage" was only valid for online bookings, I left in frustration, only to return the next day to book the same coverage online. However, when I returned to pick up the car with the "full coverage" I had booked, the same representative insisted that I still needed to pay an additional $25 per day for insurance. This is unacceptable! If I am visibly upset and questioning the need for extra coverage, your staff should clearly explain the limitations of the online coverage. This experience has led me to question how Priceless Car Rental can remain in business. I strongly advise anyone considering your services to think twice. The lack of transparency and customer care is concerning, and no one should have to endure the stress I faced.Customers deserve clear and accurate information about their options and associated costs.Review fromJide D

1 starMy experience with American Car Rental in ******* was a nightmare, and I strongly urge others to avoid this company. Unlike reputable car rental services, they operate out of the ******************* on *************, far from the airports main rental area. Upon arrival, I waited 45 minutes for their shuttle, which was highly inconvenient. When I finally reached their location, the agent was rude and dismissive, telling me to sit down and wait to be called. Their policies were outrageousdemanding my insurance declaration page and forcing a $20 toll credit onto my account without allowing me to use my own **** account. Despite my concerns, the agent rudely justified the charges. Their payment process was also concerning, as they manually entered credit card details into their phones instead of using a proper POS terminal. Initially, they tried to switch my reserved car, only upgrading me when I refused. Returning the car was no better; the shuttle driver was rude, and their sluggishness almost caused me to miss my flight. Even before the trip, they texted me requesting personal information, which felt unprofessional and outdated. Their lower prices come at the cost of hidden fees, terrible service, and unreliable operations. Save yourself the hassle and book with a reputable company. American Car Rentals business model is outdated, unprofessional, and frustrating. I strongly recommend avoiding them, as no one deserves the poor treatment and stress they caused me. Pay a little more elsewhereits worth it.
