      On 3/14/23, I sent my daughter to Jiffy Lube with my car just to get the fluids topped off, which I understood to be free if your last oil change was done there. She informed them when she arrived that she only wanted fluid levels checked; and when they asked her a little while later what kind of oil she wanted, she told them she didn't want oil. THEY DID AN OIL CHANGE ANYWAY, and charged my daughter $68.15 for it--and she was too intimidated by them not to pay for it. I have since read their contract's fine print, and the fluid topoffs are only valid within the first 3,000 miles (it had been about 5,000 miles). However, that being the case, they should have made it clear to my daughter what the cost of the requested service would be, and they should not have provided services that she did not ask for. I think they took advantage of her, and they knew exactly what they were doing when they did it. The only compensation they offered her afterward was a coupon for $20 off of the NEXT oil change. I have no plans to redeem that coupon, as I do not plan to continue to do business with a company that operates in such a dishonest manner.
