    We hired Shawn’s Electric to replace our breaker box three years ago. We recently called *** about a problem with our meter and while *** was looking at the meter, they discovered that the breaker box wasn’t installed safely or to code. Shawn’s Electric had installed a 200-amp breaker box, but left the 100-amp service line.
    As a result, *** gave us a violation notice and told us we have 60 days to get it fixed or they will shut off our electricity.
    We also recently had a home inspection, and the inspector also said that the way the breaker box is installed is a fire hazard.
    After we got the notice from ***, we contacted Shawn’s Electric twice (by phone and email) asking for their help correcting the issue, but we haven’t heard back.
    I was impressed by the many positive reviews for Shawn’s Electric on other sites, so I’m very disappointed that they would install something that’s (a) unsafe and (b) is forcing us to pay for an expensive repair to avoid getting our electricity shut off.
