      I had hired this company to move from CA to WA. I am incredible dissatisfied with how this move is going.

      1. They LIED about being a broker. They had told us they, themselves were going to move the items. Not a third party company. This was a lie. A 3rd party company picked up my items.

      2. They are beyond terrible with communication. No one can seem to give us a straight answer about anything. We planned this out months in advance as I need the items by Aug 23rd. They told us that they could not give us a specific date for pickup but it'll either be the 19th or 20th. We called nearly daily and they couldn't give us a date until the day before. On the 17th they call to ask if they could pick up the items on the 18th but that's not what was agree upon.

      3. My items are to arrive late. On the 18th they call to say they are picking up my items on the 19th, but that my items will not arrive to WA until August 26th or 27th. That is 3-4 days after we agreed. After serveral calls, no one can give us a straight answer to when the items are going to arrive and to call back the next day.

      3rd party picks up my items on August 19th. No call before hand. They just showed up. They gave us a different quote for the move as they calculate based off sqft while True American had given us a quote based off number of items. This quote is higher than original, but Hermes waived the extra cost for us, but asked for a tip for their movers. I was asked to pay half when they pick up the items and half when it arrives. We had asked Hermes when my items were going to arrive. The mover called dispatch and confirmed that my items would arrive on August 23rd. True American can't confirm and told us to call the next day.

      Tomorrow is the 23rd. We give True American a call and they tell us the items are not going to arrive until the 26th or 27th and that the 23rd was just an estimation. My items are still in a warehouse in California. Told to call back tomorrow.

      In regards to this complaint we have been in communication with the customer, customer is claiming that we are just a broker, which is incorrect we have a carrier/broker authority with the department of transportation, which means, we have our own trucks and drivers, and at times when logistics prevents us from picking up our job directly we have authority to use our network of agents to fulfill and complete our customers move. This customer move was picked up when requested and delivered.

      Horrible experience. All the cost estimates were done over the phone leading to horribly inaccurate estimates. Was told it would be $3000 with a $1200 deposit upfront. I was also told that I would be receiving a call 72 hours before pick up to confirm my inventory list. However, I did not receive any sort of communication and had to call them to go through this. I have very few things that needed moving so I was initially estimated at 105 cu ft, lower than their 300 cu ft minimum. As a result, I was informed that I would be able to fill up to 300 cu ft with no changes to the cost. However, upon updating my inventory list, I was informed it would be an additional $330 despite only being an extra 28 cu ft. Finally, due to the rushed nature of my move for work, I was told I had date priority for any changes that might arise. I attempted to delay my pickup date a few days due to travel for work and was told I would be incurring additional fees. As my company had approved the initial quote, I tried to cancel the services due to these additional costs that were outside the scope of what was initially discussed, but they were adamant they would not refund the deposit which I was told was a refundable deposit. Overall a terrible experience with horrific customer service. Would strongly advise against using this company for your moving needs!
