On May 9th, 2023, I entered into a 60 month contract for a water/ice machine service for our business with a local company called Mr. ***** ********* The first time the machine needed service, around October 2023, I reached out to the Distributor, Mr. ***** USA and found they no longer existed. This is when I found out they sold my contact to a leasing company, Time Payment which is the company who was billing me. Originally Mr. ***** Pro was billing me then at some point it was switched to them without my knowledge but must have been shortly before Mr. ***** USA closed. I have had payments taken from my account from multiple ********************** companies now, another called Leaf who told me Timepayment gave them my contract. Then back to Timepayment. I finally cleared up with Timepayment about what was already paid and what is owed and I sent in payment to bring my account up to date. Now the machine is no longer working. My invoice states to contact Mr. ***** USA. I have been reaching out to Timepayment for weeks asking for help as Mr. ***** USA no longer exists and hasn't for months and we are business with no way of repairing this machine. No one will call me back or respond to my emails. I have documented names, days and times of every one of my calls and emails. I am being ignored and this contract should be voided. I will not be making any more payments until I am responded to. I am confused how I am even liable to Timepayment since I never signed up with them or even had a choice in the matter.Customer Answer

Please be advised that TimePayment was assigned the rights to bill and collect on this water rental contract. We are sorry to hear that you are unable to reach Mr. ***** Pro to have your equipment serviced, however, per the terms of the agreement, TimePayment has no servicing or maintenance responsibilities. You may contact another local water company in your area for assistance.Customer Answer

FAQAloha,
When I signed my contract, I was told by Mr. ***** Pro that it includes all service and maintenance on the machine. Mr. ***** Pro no longer exists. I have contacted another water company about servicing on my own dime and the machine is broken beyond repair. I am not paying for a machine that I was would be maintained and serviced that is no longer working. It is not legal for them to pass on the rights to collect payment without the responsibility of what I was told my contact included, especially without my knowledge. I never signed up with Timepayment. I should not be held liable for paying for a machine that was supposed to be fixed by the company whom my contract is with. I will not be making another payment until this is resolved. Thank you.
Regards,
Lauren

FAQAloha,
I signed up for water machine service. If you took over the contract from mr. ***** pro, you are obligated to service the machine. It is not lawful that you only fill the obligation of collecting payment, not servicing the machine. I will be having my lawyer contact you further.

Do NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT do any business with this business. I purchased a nice piece of equipment for about $2500 last year. As of this complaint i have already paid $2500 towards the lease. I called to get a pay off balance which i was told my remaining balance was $2800. I asked the lady to explain to me why my the interest was over double what the equipment cost and she just simply kept stating its based on what i agreed to in the lease. Now Im going to pay it off because i actually care for my credit but to other buyers Im warning you to find other loan options. I was speeding in my judgement because i wanted the equipment but this company is absolutely not worth it.Customer Answer

I received a letter in the mail informing me that my initial 48-month leasing term was coming to an end and that I had the option to either continue the lease month-to-month or to cancel. The letter also said that if they didn't receive a response from me at least 30 days prior to the lease's end, they would default to the month-to-month option. I chose to cancel. That required giving them a Notice of Cancellation. THERE IS NO FORM TO AID WITH THIS ON THEIR SITE; the only cancellation form that's on their site is apparently for something else, and does not satisfy their demand for a Letter/Notice of Cancellation to stop being charged after a lease ends. So, it's something that you must write yourself, then hand-sign, and then mail, fax, or email to them. I emailed the letter, and got back a receipt of acknowledgement from their customer service. I was told that my letter was sent to the ********************** for review. That was over two weeks ago. But after that, I have not received any contact from the company, even after I reached back out on the email thread for an update. This all happened well within the timeframe they required for any action on my part. However, at this point, I have nothing to show me that the company intends to close my account. They will continue to drag this out and continue to charge me monthly while my Notice of Cancellation just sits in limbo with their ********************** even though I've met all of their demands and conditions. I'm sure they will also tell me that I still didn't meet their demands even though every communication I've had so far has unmistakably expressed my desire to close the account so that I won't be charged after the initial leasing term comes to an end.Customer Answer

I own a small retail awards business. I was approached via email by ***** Financial saying they can 100% lower my CC processing fees. In the process of switching companies, my agent *********************** sold me that I would have a lease at $170 for 2 years and then they would replace and upgrade my *** system every 2 years. Come to find out it is a 4 year lease which equals to $8,160 for a *** system that retails for $1200 at the most. When I found this out I was not happy at all and tried to reach **** multiple times, the email address and phone number for his office was no longer is service. So I just had to bite the bullet, a year goes by and I find a new broker that can help me out. Desert ******* Systems, so far so good. They did an analysis on my CC processing charges and they were anywhere from 5% all the way up to 12% for a couple months. I called TimePayment and the agent stayed silent and would not answer my questions. She just said I can buy out the lease for an extra $3600 at which time they would come and pickup the *** system. I asked if they could write off the remaining balance and do the right thing and they refused.Business Response

Merchant Supplies Direct/ Royalty Merchant came to our business to introduce us to a new merchant service. We negotiated a new rate and were told we would need to use the terminal they provided from Time Payment. We were told the terminal would be an upgrade from the clover that we currently were using. When we received the machine it was not setup. None of our business information was set up in it. Within the first week of using it, we had a client call us letting us know that she was double charged. Now within the first month of using the machine, it forces you to use credit instead of debit to get the merchant service higher charges. If you try to run debit it will send out error/canceled receipts a lot of the time.Yesterday, I had to deal with 4 different clients letting me know they were double or TRIPLE charged. How embarrassing. This is unacceptable for a business owner. There is no way you can keep the trust of your clients when they are being charged this way. We spent the morning on the phone with merchant service and they said the problem was with the terminal. And, they were NOT able to refund the debit transactions. I had to call in the clients to present their cards for a refund. Upon the clients coming into the business, they were still NOT ABLE TO GET A REFUND as the terminal kept spitting out error receipts. I was left with clients standing here for over 30 minutes without a refund. One client was supposed to be leaving for vacation and needed the overcharged funds to do this.I ended up having to take money out of our cash drawer to refund the overcharged debit transactions to keep our clients happy. This is not acceptable. No business can do business like this. We had a new client who overheard what was happening and at her checkout, asked if I was sure she wouldn't be overcharged. I want out of my contract with Time Payment. I will lose clients due to this terminal and company. This is unacceptable.Business Response

Please refer to the terms of the Non Cancelable Commercial Equipment Lease Agreement entered into with TimePayment on February 20, 2024. Per Section 12 of the Lease, TimePayment is not responsible for any servicing or warranties, or operation of the equipment. In addition, TimePayment is not responsible for any payment processing used with the equipment. You will need to contact you merchant processing company or LGP Services, the vendor who provided the equipment, to resolve these issues.Initial Complaint

I have a commercial contract with Time Payment for an equipment lease. At some point, I incurred and do not disagree with, some late charges. After communication with the Time Payment collections department informing me of these charges, I asked to be provided a payment method to pay the past due fees. Time Payment refused to indicate where I could make an ad-hoc payment against the late fees, and then began a harassment campaign. I made an ad-hoc payment in the Time Payment customer portal, after no indication of where I could make late payments, I simply made one the only place I had the ability to.Time Payment collections agent noted this, and indicated 'a case would be opened' to apply my late fee payment. That case has not been opened, and now Time Payment is escalating their harassment campaign and illegally threatening to send to a credit agency and negatively impact my credit. I am also filing a compliant with the ************************************ (CFPB)Business Response

TimePayment has two accounts with this customer, which seems to have caused the error in the payment misapplication. This has now been resolved and payment reapplied correctly. Payments on your TimePayment account can be made over the phone, using our web portal or by calling our Customer Support team and making a payment directly with a representative. We apologize for any negative experience and hope this matter has been resolved satisfactorily.Initial Complaint

I paid off a machine and last year I called to inquire why I was still being charged. A representative told me i could pay the last 2 installments that the contract said I had to pay and keep the machine over the phone. I agreed to pay over the phone. However, months later my CPA inquired what these charges from time payment were. The original company was quick spark. When i called time payment they said they have no proof i agreed to pay the last installment and said they had notes that i would call back quick sparks. I have paid over $1000 past the $545 installments. I reached out march 13th asking to stop taking money as i already over paid for a machine that was 2500 and now ive paid over $5k and they are still asking for my bank account to continue deducting money. I am not returning the machine and have over paid in installments and Id like a refund because i did have a phone conversation with quick sparks and agreed to pay the last 2 installments. This is absolutely robbery and a scam. I need help please.Business Response

I order some restaurant equipment from restaurant warehouse per the time payment representative reference. I was SCAMMED!! I received a non functioning stove, tables missing parts, sink (incorrect order) and faucet that didn't go together and a rice cooker that i never received. I was in contact with and returned all equipment to company owner 2 days after receiving per their 72 hr return policy. Submitted a claim with time payment canceling the lease and now 6 months later I am continuing to get harassing phone calls requesting payment!! The customer service and professionalism is ridiculous!! Again this company is a scam!!!Customer Answer

They have for documents are tampered with documents. I have included the documents that they sent me to prove that they have tampered with it. There is no dates on their signature after the fact. Their signature also does not match any documentation that I have ever signed in the past. I would add my drivers license but I am afraid they will change the signature and or try to take it off of here to complete there tampering. Would be more the. Happy to turn it over to the bbb with a promise not to share with timepayment.
