Months ago I unsubscribed from email communications from Salary.com, but continued to receive emails from sales staff. I contacted the company directly on or around June 30, REMOVEDtheir system. I continued receiving sales emails, and sent each one to him, each time being assured I was removed from their mailing lists (he said the first one was from a new employee who accidentally emailed me). Nothing has changed, and I am still receiving these emails. I am coming to the BBB as I do not believe the company is actually trying to resolve this issue, and I thought after I unsubscribed and communicated with the Vice President that the issue would be resolved, which it has not been. I am not sure what else to do to be removed from their mailing lists.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 08/17/2026

The Vice-President claimed he had personally marked my contact information as "Do not contact", however I have received three more emails since he sent that response. When I sent him the first email I received, he said the agent was newly hired, and must have accidentally contacted me. When I forwarded the two subsequent emails I received from different agents, he failed to respond and I have not received any further communication from him about the issue.

    Thank you,

REMOVEDrespectfully requests the Better Business Bureau's assistance in resolving a contractual dispute with Salary.com concerning the alleged automatic renewal of a one-year subscription agreement. This is not a dispute regarding the original subscription. REMOVEDentered into the original agreement, paid the subscription fee in full, attempted to use the product, and worked with Salary.com's Customer Success team during the subscription period. The dispute concerns whether Salary.com should enforce an automatic renewal after it had already been informed, months before the renewal date, that Vereens was dissatisfied with the product and questioned the accuracy of the information it provided.Rather than attempting to reach a mutually acceptable business resolution, Salary.com maintained that the subscription automatically renewed and ultimately referred the disputed account to a collection agency. We respectfully request BBB assistance in resolving this matter.

Filing complaint on behalf of REMOVEDSalary.com auto renewed a contract they had with REMOVEDfor an additional 3 years without getting a new signature on the contract. They did not speak to anyone in the company until the contract was auto renewed until 2027. They will not auto renew it again, but we desire the contract to be canceled as of its original end date of 6/27/2024. The person who signed the original contract for the company is no longer working for REMOVED.

I have not heard from the business as they have sent it to collections and am being contacted by a collection agency to pay for the new contract.

REMOVED, Director of Sales at Salary.com, approached us to offer their salary survey service. During a demo, REMOVEDassured us that their platform included major surveys from both public and private sources, despite not being able to disclose specific providers due to confidentiality agreements. After signing the contract, we noticed a lack of data for basic positions during implementation. This issue was raised, and after numerous exchanges, we learned in a meeting with REMOVEDand REMOVEDon November 1st that the private surveys were not included, contrary to what had been implied. We attempted to negotiate a termination of the contract since the service provided did not meet our needs and differed from what was promised. Despite the discrepancy, we were informed that the contract could not be altered or voided.During ongoing discussions, our account was prematurely sent to collections without warning, incurring a fee of $1600. We settled the principal amount but were informed that services would remain suspended until the collection fees were also paid. We sought documentation of REMOVEDclaims, only to be told none existed. Please let us know if the entire email exchange chain is needed for the purposes of this investigation.

I am here to report that the website Salary.com is a fraudulent website advertising jobs in my local area and all over the country. Their links and information is illegitimate and stolen from outdated job ads. While I did not have any financial transactions with this business, I don't believe this should be okay or legal.

The hardworking people of this country deserve better, so I hope the Better Business Bureau will be able to get to the bottom of this situation. Thank you for your time.

Salary.com has taken our ads for jobs and posted them without our consent, causing major issues. Our employees, upon finding their positions advertised, feared termination. Being a small business, we find this unacceptable. Recorded calls reveal that when I addressed this, the worker laughed and stated this is a common issue, instructing me to email her each ad for removal. At this point, 54 of our ads have been 'stolen'. We have demanded that they shut down our page since they lack our consent to post this information. Furthermore, they refused to disclose how or where they obtained these ads, some of which are years old.

REMOVEDbegan to receive phone calls from individuals interested in an office assistant position that is not available. Which caused us to find a job posting on Salary.com that was not authorized by anyone at the company. There is no job available, and this post has very obviously has been copied from an old indeed job post. Many attempts to contact Salary.com have been made with no help removing this job posting. They will not call back, do not answer the phones and do not take it down when you click to report the job posting as fake.

All job listings on this website are fake or expired. The website has you enter your personal information then sends you to a broken link, or just the landing page. I believe this website is fraudulent and has the objective of mining personal information to sell to other recruiting companies for jobs that aren't even relevant.
