      On 26 Sep 2023, I ordered some materials to place in Christmas gift bags for an appreciation I singlehandedly prepare, provide for, and execute every year (3rd year) since COVID, in honor of my local police department . When I ordered those items in September, they were priced at $10.79 each. I purchased 7 of the items - one for the top two leadership positions and one for the leads of each division. After meeting with the Chief of Police's Administrative Assistant, I decided to order 5 more copies - one for the Sergeants of each shift as well as one for myself so that I may see exactly what I was giving, in its entirety. In order to save money, Because I also cook chili to feed 100+ individuals, I intentionally waited for Cyber Monday in order to get the items at a "Black Friday" rate. Upon locating the item on Cyber Monday, I found that is was listed at 40% off the original price. This is where it gets bad. The item was still the same price as when I bought it in September. However, now it was superficially marked up to $17.99. From $17.99, it was then marked down 40% by an indication of a line drawn through the $17.99 bringing the pricing to the original amount of $10.79 when I bought it in September. Yes, I still purchased the item because it is from my heart to do for people who selflessly sacrifice by leaving their families every time they go to work to protect others'. I was disturbed and disappointed by the practices I have witnessed from the secular environment, but I would never expect such from an organization assigning themselves as ************ I have personally seen tags marked up to the percentage point of deception only to be marked down on the same tag by that percentage amount in order to look like a bargain. I've not heard it second hand but have personally witnessed it. Again, I simply would have never expected a Christian ****** (by name) to follow suit. I still will purchase from them but if I find a more honest ****** to buy items from I will.

      I ordered one book from christianbook.com 2 years ago. I have been receiving thick catalogs ever since. These catalogs use A LOT of paper and as someone whom works in environmental sustainability, this is not good. I have requested emails and catalogs stop coming over a year ago. The emails stopped but I moved and somehow they found my new address. I purposely did not notify anywhere of my address change and dont get mail from any company besides Christianbook now. I dont know how they got my address or why they would find my new address and send me catalogs when Ive requested they stop a long time ago. At this point, this is considered harassment and is terrible for the environment, imagine how many of those they send out.

      Worst company I have ever purchased from. The Bibles were nothing like the description. The print was so small neither young person I purchased the Bibles for could read the print. The binding was different. I sent an email to customer support no response so I called the representative said I will have to check into you returning them since you had them engraved and Ill get back to you. Never did. Filed a complaint with PayPal for a refund. They responded to that. I sent the Bibles back via media mail ( cheaper for me) they CLAIMED since there was no tracking number I wouldnt receive a refund. So they got the Bibles back and my almost 50 dollars. WOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING!
